New Item: Resource Finder

A great addition to this game would be some sort of Resource Finder. Already, when you get close to a patch of resources that little title comes up above it. However this can be difficult to find if the resources are far apart. That, and there is no guarantee that you will find a resources you are looking for.

Enter the Resource Finder. (If you have played FortressCraft Evolved this idea is much like their Ore Finder.) When you active the Resource Finder is sends out a local ping message to some set radius and returns a ping response with any resources that it hits within that radius. This would cost either energy or another resource (say composite). Better yet, in order to search for composite have it cost composite - one brick for every x-meters radius. Then the ping request gets sent out and every resource patch of that type of "fuel" gets flagged with a beacon like object.

Maybe the resource finder could be an addition to the backpack. It wouldn't ping out but it would simply expand your field of vision. When you get close to a resource the title appears. If it were a backpack addition, the resource finder could simply expand the radius in which a resource revels itself.

Just my thoughts, leave yours below on how to refine/implement tool!

I'd like that you'd hold the button down (or just having it in your 'cursor' and then clicking and holding) and the radius would display and start scanning, expanding outwards and revealing a question mark icon if it finds something underground, searching a bigger radius the longer you hold the button down but using up more energy per second.

Even with the little title of the resource that pops up when you get close, you can sort of dig most of it out but not get every last little bit unless you dig out a really big hole and be thorough about it (often digging up more nuggets than you can carry). So unless you're thorough with every single deposit you come across, you could end up forgetting where these deposits are with resources still buried in them and the scanner would be pretty useful for this :D

It would be nice to hide some resources (like copper and aluminium ore) into the soil, so it's not easy to find them without the scanner.

There is an easy solution to finding resources: a line of tethers and exploration. As for hiding resources in a way we need a scanner to find them, isn't it a "solution" (scanner) in search of a problem?
