The ones I read are all great ideas.

Storage lockers.

Vehicle ramps for inside the planets/caves, for driving from lvl to lvl.

Maybe a specialised vehicle that can hold a lot of material or have multiple trailers for inside the planets.

Smooth tunnel walls and flooring, could be learnt as we learn things now or acquired later in the game.

Floor/wall lighting.

A self containing base at some point would be great.

A MAP for not getting lost, been lost for ages, didn't like it :)

1.the fabricator

this item is for making base,structure and repair.this what the fabricator can do thing: 

1.Repair big solar panel so it will produce 3x power.

2.after this update base and structure can be damaged from storm so add the health bar.when you equip the fabricator and pointing the mouse at the structure or base it will show the health bar.

3.large item like wind turbine,big battery and medium solar panel will take damage when storm.

4.medium and large truck/rover now can take damage from storm and fall from high place 

thats what i give the idea for future update.

I thoroughly enjoy this game, and have been playing it for a good amount of time. I'm pretty sure lots of people have already suggested the idea of having players being able to create bases they can walk into, but to further that, it would also be cool to furnish these bases with furniture, and maybe aquariums or terrariums if animals and liquid sources were to be added to the terran planet. These bases should be made from several different kinds of rooms, such as bedrooms, living rooms, hallways (t junctions, x junctions, straight hallways, curved hallways, raised hallways [diagonally raised up like a staircase in case of mountain building] etc. storage rooms, or even a spaceship dock). Another thing I would extremely like to see in the future is these bases, but in the form of constructible and customizable space stations that can be build at massive docks that need to be built high up. It would also be cooler if said space stations could be found already in space to be looted or repaired for items, and even a free roam flying mechanic to shuttles to openly fly to planets, but thats optional because it's not that important. Elevators would also be nice if you are making a large base deep underground, and if bodies of water to be added, rain, and acid rain, should be added to terran and radiated planets. If bodies of water were added, then it would also be cooler to have water-based vehicles such as ships or submarines. Animals are an option too as well. I would also like to report two bugs in the xbox version. When driving around quickly to gather resources in a rover or other terrestrial vehicle, the game will not load textures quickly enough and gravity is temporarily disabled, so the vehicle just flies off into space and the only way to stop it is to jump out and wait for the game to fix itself. Another thing, on the xbox version there are major unexpected framerate drops that happen when the game has to load in textures when you're exploring or building a lot of things at a time. Smoother gameplay would be nice. I really liked what you guys started with the augments on the terrain tool as well. It would be nice if there were additional augments that you can add to vehicles to decrease power consumption or increase speed, as well as similar augments to your suit. I want to thank you guys for making this game, it truly is amazing. I like space-themed games and I enjoy the game as it is right now, as well as enjoy looking at space from my own eyes. I want you guys to keep up the great work on this game, and hopefully some of the best things will come from your minds. Seriously, thank you.

Good idea and that what i mean when i give them idea for adding fabricator like you can repair some item and help some creature or astroneer in space station i like you idea

one thing that NEED to be done ASAP.. who could even think you could move around in a game , as wide as a solar system withou tA SINGLE MAP?   this things is a MUST, A BIG PRIORITY.. not a little feature,  BUT A NEED... plz..  add it

like many games, M to open the map,. and at least an arrow which tell you where your base is, even if its other side of planet or mountain, we will know at least where we have to go... geez...  nearly impossible to get back home at some palce when you just get a bit far from base :(

if you had alien life, i would think a gremlin type alien that would lurk around your base, just out of sight taking your precious resources. a little weird music plays softly to alert you, and if you find their den...jackpot! you find what they took from you and or possibly what they have been stealing from all previous astroneers that landed before you, or crashed on world. thank you

Why tf do people keep suggesting weapons and aliens. Quit being so ignorant, and notice how this is a calm, exploration game, not minecraft in hard mode. No guns, no evil aliens. NO! The game is better off without those things. This game is unique for not having PVP, guns, or aliens. It would defeat the purpose, and central idea of the game. Almost all games are like that. That's what makes this game great. It has no fighting or shooting. The only violence should result from natural disaster like dust storms, crash sites, and dead explorers. (Not even that violent).

I have 3 ideas(they are all not related to each-other)

1. Treaded Rovers-Wider,Slower, Muck more stable, and can make bigger land trains with them.

2. New form of wreck-Abandoned bases, they have a habitat in the center and you can find a dead astroneer buried around the base with materials.

3. New researchable-organic compressor, make 1 coal out of 4 stacks of organic, make coal a useable resource.

DUDE. That is an amazing idea!! Because coal needs to be more available. The large generator is very useless because I never have coal.

Dude I agree totally on this one..... better yet make it a Power Platform that can hold a Med Generator once researched  to burn coal and have 4 Organic cost 1 more organic to compress into a coal fuel.... 5 Organic = 1 Coal......

So love this Idea.....

Just upgrade your computer. Unreal Engine is way to big for 32-bit to handle.

Non violent, must you use profanity dark phosphorus? The alien I suggested steal stuff, not attack you. Jeez,lighten up

Ideas for fixes for multiplayers

1. First of all we love the game and love to play it together is very soothing and addicting.

 

2. Multiplayer mode when I join host after we have built on another planet I get missing items and ground
   can't put teathers down they disappear we even tried saving on that planet so hoping that all would be
   there no didn't work because when I come back in I land on original planet and not
   on the planet that we saved on so my astronaut gets missing parts ground can't deploy teathers on other planets
   I built a whole base and when I came back all the ground was missing I just feel threw.

3. Can you make it so that the person joining the host also gets the save and any upgrades the host made
   so  we launch from the last save of the host with all the same files then maybe there we wouldn't have things missing
   to keep the ground from disappearing.

   Can you fix the fact that when joining host that we would be able to use teathers on other planets
   so that they don't disappear when we place them. Also had a problem when dropping an item it would just
   disappear example beacon and teathers.  I have to put them on the ship for the host to take them
   or they disappear.  I can not place them on other planets.

4. Lost vehicles because they floated away can you make them weigh more so that when you hit rocks
   they don't bounce all over the place and flip and are unable to get out of them, or they float
   away into space even when they have a load of research on them


 Just letting you know what is happening still love to play the game though you can view my screen shots in steam.

Great game. The first time I saw this game I thought, mwa, not really great, not fun.

However, I got this game as a present and then start playing. It was a great game. I do have some suggestions though:

Add purpose

-Make achievements and medals or something, to give players a goal: the beginning is very nice, but once you explored everything, and researched everything, you might get bored. Having achievements and medals, like place 1000 tethers or die 500 times, or a medal like 1000 play hours, you give player a lot more purpose for playing. 

-Campaign mode: now Astroneer is like a sandbox all the time. Nice, but a campaign mode can me nice. Then every planet has a goal. Examples: you are stranded on this planet. Your brother was in another pod and most be somewhere on this planet. Find him. Or: You are stranded and lost all contact with your colony. Research the beacon and send a message to your home planet.

 

It's already a great game, but this would make the game so much better for me and increase a lot of game play hours from my side. Improvements about the game itself are already made so much, so I will leave it.

Should add Some sort of floaty space board. The hours wasted sliding down hills, I love it.. lol The sliding mechanics are all there just add a little thing under his feet and increase the slip by a bunch when wearing it maybe put a couple little blue halos floating between the board and ground. Plug the board into his backpack and slide away!

I've got an idea for the research aspect of this game. I hope it is considered, since going through the task of researching items is boring to others (although I quite enjoy it). Basically, I was thinking since the items that can be researched are set up in tiers, that the only things players can get from researching at first is tier one items. Then the more tier one items are researched, the higher chances the player will start to happen to research tier two items, and so forth until the player has researched everything. It could go something like: There are 11 tier one items you could get while researching, and after the first research is done, the next research done has a 5% chance of being tier two, the remaining 90% chance being tier one, the next after, 10% chance of being tier two (some left over percents will go towards possibly getting resources out of researching something so that that aspect of the game is still there).  Once all tier one items have been researched then you could start getting tier three items from researching, and depending on how many tier two items that have been researched before then will make the odds for researching a tier three item. Say you have just finished researching all tier one items and you happened not to get any tier two research items during that time, then the chance of getting a tier three item from research is smaller than if you had gotten some tier two items researched before you had gotten all tier one items researched. I think this would make the whole research system more balanced and a little less random. I would give more players a task, something to work on a bit before they have total freedom. And maybe people will begin to enjoy the process of researching a bit more. Players will also be stuck on the planet they started on a bit longer, but that might just mean their attention to the game will increase (i.e.) people won't become board of the game too fast. I got the idea from being the first few items I got from researching were tier three and it felt like the game was moving a bit too fast, kind of like a "Wow, I've really already beaten that?" feel. I'm sorry if this is a bit confusing, I have no picture to help describe this.

I have some idea, but some people said that befor me. Very interesting if wil be add a feature with searching other players and invite them to party! Steps:

1) Connecting to room with unknown random players and start game

2) All players start the game on random planet

3) Build base and search other planets, bases and players (without communication before thay join to party).

4) other parties will be mark with different colors.

5) Game session with party players will be saved after exit

6) If one player decide load this session, but others be offline, he'll see the base and all stuffs what they made together and just be waiting them or play! =)

I love this game, but I think it should be a split screen game. Then it would be my favorite split screen of all time

Extremely common suggestion, but this kind of thing is something you're most likely not going to see until the final release.
