Summary: - Steam - Tether Lights Broken


After starting a new game and running for while, newly-placed tethers stop emitting light despite being connected to the oxygenator.
Reloading the save seems to correctly light all currently-placed tethers but new ones emit no light.
This is a purely aesthetic bug but it makes spelunking difficult until one can build a worklight.

  • CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 960T 3.00 GHz
  • GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 2GB
  • RAM: 8 GB (uncertain brand)
  • Drive: 1 TB (uncertain brand)

This is a known issue that I want to add to the Commonly Report Bugs thread (though I'm waiting for the next update to come out before adding to it) - it seems that there is a sort of hard limit of how many tethers can generate light. I believe the number is around 80 tethers, though it may vary from system to system.

We're looking into it though!
