Please make it to where you can scrap the bottom of the EXO Dynamic Research Aid. Another idea for a super shredder that can scrap satellites and the biggest objects.

with the advent of the large scrapper i was wondering why the DEVs did not create a tool to be able to slice apart or take apart

the really big stuff like fallen satellites to be able to put them in the big scrapper

..or maybe blow them in to smaller pieces with the dynamite....

there is a lot of junk out there that needs to be cleaned up...

Excellent ideas (especially the dynamite one). I don't think it would be to difficult to achieve that (but the game is still new ). Also,  yes..... the junk is VERY bothersome.

i love the junk especially when i find a useable item in it......need to make it possible to move on a rover  instead of having to walk it back to the shredder.

Taelyn, one word for you, packagers! Most of the items that can be shredded  can be packaged and loaded onto a medium storage, your backpack, of onto a rover and hauled back to base that way. It also reduces the volume of the item so that many more can be hauled back at the same time. Another tip... package the research items that you find to haul them back too.

Implementation of Plasma cutters or cutting torches have been mentioned before. AFAIK, the developers have not been keen on the idea as nothing of the sort has shown up yet. Maybe if we keep mentioning it?

the use of graphite for packagers is a self defeater you need to mine or make graphite and t make for some you intend to destroy is counter productive  i need graphite for graphene  in order to mau RTGs  for power to the Shredders  i now mounted a xlrg shredder on a lrg rover with twin silos on back and twin on driver rover .. on bad thing is now i find a perfectly working platform or power device  won't shred  and trying to carry it back on a rover is a continuing jump off and reload and those med B plat forms make for great power farms

Graphite can be a PITA to mine or make, that's why I trade for it. Using the Trade Platform you can get 8 units of graphite in exchange for only 4 units of scrap. And since I was able to haul so much more debris into my base to be shredded using packagers, it all seems to be working out. I feel your pain about having to constantly get out of the rover to reload the platform that you have precariously balanced on it. I did that many times before I was able to package those rascals and securely attach them to the rover, or storage mounted on a rover. Another tip for you, If you get a trade platform, it does not need to be mounted on a platform to work. You can just place the thing on the ground in a convenient location and operate it at will. It is totally self contained and doesn't need any connection to power, or the base, to operate.
