KavemanGamer 0 Share Posted May 11, 2019 Summary: 1.0.15.0 - Windows 10 Store - Crash After Save / Crash When Start Driving Rover Description: Not exclusively, but often when I get into a vehicle, including my large rover and I begin to drive the game will freeze for a moment and then crash. I don't know if it is the act of the saving the game when getting into the rover, or driving, or a combination of the two. I have tried to reduce the graphics settings to see if it helps, but I still get crashes. Platform: Windows 10 Store Version / Build Number: 1.0.15.0 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 | v. 1809 | Build 17763.475 CPU: Intel i7 2700K 3.5GHz GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 9700 4GB GDDR5, FTW, ACX 2.0 (run in stock configuration, no overclocking) RAM: Corsair 2x8GB DDR3 1600Hz (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10) Drive: WD Green WD10EZRX 1TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Astro-UWP64-Shipping.exe Crash Reports.txt
KavemanGamer 0 Author Share Posted May 12, 2019 UPDATE: I had another crash of this type, but I hadn't exited or reentered the rover. Rather, I had stopped driving and walked away from and returned to the game. I began driving forward, full speed, and the game crashed. So, this crash WAS NOT related to the saving of my progress. KavemanGamer 0 Author Share Posted May 18, 2019 UPDATE: Running new Astroneer Version 1.1.2.0 and updated GPU to a Radeon RX 580, running stock. Issue persists, but the freeze and crash are occurring later after saving (getting into vehicle). I am more convinced the crashes are about driving the rover at high rate of speed over the surface.
