Mouse locking and skipping when using the smoothing tool

Recommended Posts

Version 0.10.5.0

Sometimes when I'm using the smoothing tool it will lock up and the cursor will jump around. I remember experiencing this problem like 2-3 updates ago but it went away. In this version however it keeps happening every so often and more so when I visit different planets. It only happens when I'm trying to smooth the terrain for some reason. It's acting like the cursor is colliding with an invisible hitbox then teleporting to the other side. It happens going left to right and forwards and backwards.

I'm having this same problem and I'm SO IRRITATED because it happens even on terran!  I hope someone knows how to fix this because I want my smooth base back ;_;  For me, this happens ALL the time!

Is there a setting to change?  Does anyone know how to fix this?

This doesn't happen to me on Terran, just every other planet. It seems to be related to the size of the planet, like the physics math used was written specifically for the radius/circumference of the home planet, but does not carry over to others.

It's been happening to me on both the barren and tundra planets. I haven't been to any others yet but I can bet it'd probably happen there too. Please fix this devs, this is game breaking for me.

I too have had this problem, but only on Radiated. Seemed to be related to where I was standing, because by moving, I could overlap the jumping and make something flat, but super irritating.

Using Windows 10, mouse and keyboard, Steam
