- Steam/Win10 - Backpack printer becomes unusable

Recommended Posts

Backpack printer changed item to a 'yellow dot' and a (possibly incomplete) resin pack.
Printer stays stuck in this, making it inoperable and thus breaking the game.

Platform:  Steam
OS: Windows 10 Pro (64 bit), Version 1803, Build 17134.228
    CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz
    GPU: GeForce GTX 760,
Dedicated VRAM on board: 4096 GB GDDR5 (on board)
         Video BIOS 08.04.C4.00.50
         Driver version: 398.82
    RAM: 32.0 GB (4 banks @ 8GB)
    Drive: ST3000VX000-1CU166 (3TB HDD)

Windows 10, Mouse/Keyboard, no controller
I was printing some canisters to shred in the medium shredder (having much resin).  Also, general moving around, collecting soil, ...

At some point the backpack printer suddenly looked like this:

maybe the resin pack is not completely full.

I tried --- with no success:
- reloading the save
- restarting the game
- rebooting the computer
- verifying the files (via steam)
- removing the resin(?) pack in the printer --- could not grab it with the mouse
- printing that "yellow dot" item --- nope
- changing the item to be printed, no joy
- digging out more resin in the hopes that would complete the pack, but no effect.

Attached: the most current AUTOSAVE_....sav (so you can inspect the game data there), ga_log.txt and ga_log.1.txt (which may be helpful).  Unfortunately the AppData\Local\Astro\Saved\Logs folder is empty.  And 2 pics showing part of my (now to be abandoned) base with the backpack open.
