.7.0.0 - Steam - Re-mapped control keys not carried over to rover

Recommended Posts

With Absolute steering (and many thanks for Absolute steering), when re-mapping keyboard movement controls from WASD to ESDF, the accelerate/decelerate keys for the rover mapped to Q & A  instead of E & D as expected.  Confirmed this in the GameUsersSetting.ini file:

AxisMappings=(AxisName="VehicleThrottle",Key=Q,Scale=1.000000)

AxisMappings=(AxisName="VehicleThrottle",Key=A,Scale=-1.000000)

Manually editing these values to E & D solved the problem, rover behaves as intended

when you turn off absolute steering it will work, this is a bug where the absolute steering controls are somehow hardcoded to qwerty

Too bad, can't confirm, it's not working for me.

I'm on Steam Win7 x64 with German QWERTZ-Keyboard.
In default (!) GameUsersSetting.ini there's

AxisMappings=(AxisName="VehicleThrottle",Key=W,Scale=1.000000)

AxisMappings=(AxisName="VehicleThrottle",Key=T,Scale=-1.000000)

Why is decelerate key set to 'T' by default?

The GameUserSettings.ini contains all my changes, is now write-protected (read-only).

Manually editing this value to X do NOT solve the issue, rover behaves NOT as intended!
