"Astro.log" grew in size (was 32gb) untill space on C: ran out

Recommended Posts

I started the game, then got a call and walked away from the PC.
"Astro.log" grew in size (was 32gb) untill space on C: ran out.
Game was also using 8Gb of ram.

Also I noticed game makes both my video card fans run at 100%.
Fans do not back down after exiting game, requires reboot

i dont know if there is a fix for the log size but a temporary remedy can be to launch the game with a bat file that deletes said logs each start of the game

as for fans not going back to normal i dont have that issue maybe it a driver issue or something

.

I had something similar, my Astro.log was "only" 600 mb, but it's still huge for being just a log.

What hardware do you have? And has ever Steam complained that Astroneer is still running after you closed it?

.

So I opened my bloated Astro.log (620mb, it only happened in one game session, the rest of logs are "fine" around 1mb to 3mb xD )  and I see thousands of entries that looks like the following:

[2017.12.27-19.57.57:047][457]LogScriptCore:Warning: Script Msg: Attempted to access index 13 from array RCSEnabled of length 10!
[2017.12.27-19.57.57:047][457]LogScriptCore:Warning: Script Msg: Attempted to set an invalid index on array RCSEnabled [13/9]!
