Robot Mr.Mundy 0 Share Posted April 23, 2017 The most prominent problem I'm facing is the rendering. It makes me drop in FPS everywhere I go. I get a smooth 60 fps but if I move around it can drop to 30-40 fps. This causes a stutter each time. I've tried many methods to try and fix this but to no avail. No matter how far my view distance is, it still stutters the same. This can make the game very unplayable at times especially when you start to surf down a slope. I usually end up dying without any control over my character. There is also heavy lag when ever I enter a planet dropping my fps down to 1-8 fps. Once landed it goes back to 60.
CodeIsBroken 0 Share Posted April 23, 2017 What build version are you using? What are your system specs? Always useful to follow the guidance from SE when logging issues. I've seen a significant increase in the average frame rate in build 153, around 60 FPS. See my profile for PC specs.

Volodoscope 0 Share Posted May 1, 2017 I have same issue, been playing great, now patch 155 and everything stutters and drop off in FPS constant, it's like a pattern, gets very hard to play after 5 minutes. I have Nvidia 1070, on i7, 16GB ram, pretty great gaming machine, this started happening after 155.

Your HDD may have a slow read time. Have you tried defragging it? The issue may also be caused by something you have running in the background taking up system resources. Try shutting down any programs in your system tray that are not necessary for your computer to function. Do this one program at a time to try and identify the culprit. Not all running programs show in the system tray, Google ways you can check which programs are loaded. I'd do it but I'm a bit tired right now and do not want to give you erroneous information.

I mean the system tray where the clock is. It's impossible for there to be nothing else running in the background.
