When running the new smelter I get the rotary part of the animation but not the glowing molten/smoke effect seen in the preview gif

My friend and I both tried joining each others game. Neither of us can join each other. 

Both of our specs are:

AMD FX8320

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

16GB RAM

Windows 10 64x

Other useless(full) info:

Both running fullscreen. 


EDIT:

My friend managed to join me after around a dozen tries. I had to launch to my planet. Land stay still. After that I experienced a massive frame drop, and he was able to connect. Game is running smoothly so far.

Cannot connect to anyone, it crashes withing a minute or two. This happens on single player too Doesn't seem to be cause by anything in particular, its kinda random. 

Windows 10 Pro (64bit)

FX-6350 (OC to 4.5GHz)

12GB 1600MHz RAM

GTX 1050ti

Running on a 120GB SSD

 

 

FPS while it was working for a minute was about 50% better.

The disk thing stands upright instead of being horizontal.

This time the connecting umbilical disconnected before I even chose which module to build - immediately after putting in the 2 resin to the end of the line. 

So far, 2/2 modules disconnected from base. First one after selecting it to be a printer and adding the copper, the second purely by adding the two resin.

Built a shuttle and drove off a bit to collect resources. On approach [rover] back the my base, the shuttle beacon was moving up and down, left and right as if it was falling through terrain and bouncing back up. When I got closer, it no longer appeared in the vehicle bay, then when I got really close, it jumped back into it position in the bay but was shaking and vibrating. Boarding the shuttle and taking off seemed to normalize things. After returning to the bay in the shuttle, when I exit, I get stuck between the shuttle and the bay table, possibly due the the shuttle being slightly out of position. Hitting F12 to take a snapshot frees me from the table.

Let's say you are smelting some stuff and you just realize that the storages on the left and right of your furnace are full. So you try to take out the ores as they smelt, right? NOPE! the furnace will always take the same amount of time smelting, so the last ore will not be smelted all the way. Even if you give the furnace more power. And, as I think you all know, items on the furnace's tip will not become 'items' until they are fully smelted, so they will eternally be unusable entities that will just take up space.

Items are moved from vehicle to player when you don't have the resource for the selected recipee.

e.g.

  • Have an empty inventory, select 'tank' as the item to build
  • Place a 'titanium' onto a truck
  • Board the seat on the truck - titanium vanishes from the truck.
  • Exit the seat - the titanium is now in the player inventory

I can reproduce this with both truck and spaceship, with titanium and compound, and with items directly on a large storage and also items on a small storage attached to large storage.

Been playing for a bit, played a lot on the stable before this. I seem to be getting stuck on certain edges of the ground much more than the stable. It's usually when walking up. Sorry if this is already common in stable and I'm just getting it now.

I don't know if this is a bug related to this update (I've only seen it in this update so idk), but so far any time I die the death animation doesn't play. I just continue to stand there and swing my arms for a few seconds before I respawn. Again, I don't know if this is related to this update, but playing this one is the only time I've seen this happen.

Just to concur with others. Modules lose their umbilicals and then have no powering connection, seemed to occur for me after quitting back to menu then loading game.

Also clipping of new discover-able objects is out when moving them around (can go below surface, etc) - also reported by others.

A few issues I hadn't encountered in the regular build:

1. Pressed tab to right a flipped truck. Truck launched into the air and began spinning at high velocity, eventually achieving orbit. If I build up to attempt to access the truck, it teleports away when I get within a certain range (last LOD level, or range needed to unfreeze physics objects maybe?). Sometimes it moves a couple hundred feet, sometimes it moves to the other side of the moon. No visible motion after the initial spinning (truck is now locked in place and teleports without transition).

2. After restarting the game and launching into a saved world, tethers leading away from my moon base are inactive (unpowered). Picking up and replacing a tether causes it to show as powered, but does not tether to me and does not provide oxygen/power. Replacing a tether does not cause the rest of the chain to show power.

3. Overflow resin (filled units falling off the back of my tool while my backpack is full) simply disappeared into the ether after a few seconds. Have only encountered this once; generally resource gathering has been working as expected.

Even for me:

- no fire animation on top of the smelter

- broken giant disk

- no death animation

and I've noticed that one of the new big spaceship on the surface has really lower quality compared to others

Original title: Game crashing - patch 122 / Black tethers

I noticed that every time you enter your vehicle seat right after placing a tether or snapping a research cube on your car, the game crashes.

 

But only if you make it to quickly, like place the tether and in 0.2sec, enter the vehicle, the game crashes.

Another one: if you have a long chain of tethers, then remove one tether that isn't the last one, when you place on the right spot again, you lose your power/oxygen connection, the only way to fix the line is going back to your base or driving a roover near the line, i don't know why, but doing this turns the supply back on.

I don't have any screenshots right now, but tonight i will try to replicate and take some

a few tests I made with experimental build show that FPS is now OK on my machine (I5-2400 fixed clock @3.1GHz; GTX970OC ; 16GB RAM ; W7SP1)

But I found 2 bugs I hadn't seen previously.

* 20170210145013_1.jpg : when switching between possible vehicles left slots doesn't work when aluminium is on.

And I can put compound "inside" aluminium but not the opposite. Log repeats this :
