Please make wind turbine always normal to the ground, and make it higer, because them look stupid on a ground surrounded by buildings )) Also turbines of this type in reality should have stator(for reorienting air in optimal direction for turbine) ) Please make more understandable mechanics of wind in game, because now it work almost randomly...(Two turbine set nearby. One is working, another -not. Why?)

    When in a wind storm the wind turbine attached to a vehicle or a platform doesn't turn , also sometimes two wind turbines placed next to each other don't both turn - sometimes only one turns - even when they are placed next to each other
  3. First and foremost - Great update! Love the added freedom of creativity to place things through power tethers! I like the direction its heading! Large Rovers / Large Storage [Steam: Post Basebuilding Update] The large rover has 4 (x2) slots [including the front and back connectors], and a large storage uses up 2 of the (x2) slots [giving you a total of 8 slots free: 4 from the large storage, 1 seat, 1 remaining (x2) on the rover, and the front and back]. Prior to the update, you could power your rover by placing a power source [solar panel/wind turbine/large battery] either on your large storage, or by placing them on the front/back connection points. Now they wont work. My assumption is that when the large storage is built upon a rover, it is not "connecting" to the power source via this new method and not in circuit with the rovers battery. I've also found issues with the large batteries power not being used by the rover, even when directly connected on top of one of its dedicated (x2) slots. Either way, I believe there to be a bug with the connectivity points on the rover both on top of it, and by "daisy chaining" rovers together, as they dont share power consumption anymore [just as the front/back don't use the power sources connected to them].

    Wind turbine during storm

    Maybe it's small thing but i think it's worth mentioning. The wind turbine during storm isn't necessary working. I guess it's just working in normal mode (that's another thing that turbines seems to be working randomly eg. two close placed turbines can in the same time work and not) but it's funny to see giant storm throwing things around and the turbines are sitting still as if nothing was happening. It would be nice to see some extra boost during storm in energy but at least they should work.
  5. The thruster has 4 spots that you can put a small item on each one of those spots for storage (I'm assuming). It would be nice if when you attach say: a battery, small solar panel, small wind turbine to those spots and attach it to the back of your larger vehicle (and possibly anything else the thruster may attach to, I'm not that far in the game I don't know if it does yet) that it would charge your car from where it sits on the thruster. The design of this game is so intelligent that when I did it I assumed it would work and was surprised that is didn't. So I just thought It'd be nice to see it as a functional feature. I just think it would speak for the already intelligent design of the game. Also I hate that I cant just put single Items anywhere I want on the the open ports on the back of the ship. It autofills you from the seat on back.
  6. I think it would be cool to have an "elevator" that can hold, say, 4 medium wind turbines (or already has a large turbine) that automatically changes its height so the turbines get maximum wind speed and thus generate the most power

    Wind Turbine Functionality

    I often find that the wind turbines, both sizes, are not working when there is clearly some wind blowing by. I'll be sitting at my base waiting for power to build up, when I notice that the local plant life is waiving in the wind. And then I'm like: "Why the heck isn't the da'gum wind turbine spinning!?". So, I pick it up & try to move it to a better spot, but the only place it seems to spin is 10ft above my base platforms. WHY!!!?
  8. Hi! So I recently noticed if a heavy storm hits the planet and you hear the high speed wind and also see things blown away your character barely move but the built wind turbines does not rotate! They should spin very fast generating a lot of energy.
  9. I have a line of 5+ base nodes, and two turbines. Often at least one of those spots will have enough wind to spin a turbine, but it seems rare that more than one will catch wind at a time. Sometimes, taking a turbine off of a node and setting on the ground next to the node will catch wind. I don't know what figures into the "is it windy" calculation, but currently it feels really inconsistent. Maybe that's the whole point, but I'd rather not spend 15 polymer and 10 titanium on a chance to collect energy now and then.
  10. I was driving the rover with the wind turbine you can create from the backpack on the back during a sandstorm, but the wind turbine didn't spin at all or give the rover any additional power, even when completely stopped. works with normal wind though.
  11. If you take a look at this screenshot you will see one aluminum in a slot (hologram) to construct a wind turbine. The second resource slot (hologram) to place the aluminum is missing. I discovered this by doing the following: Fill up the printer placeholder slots with one aluminum, two of another resource, and a solar panel (made from backpack). Cycle to the wind turbine. The printer will pull an aluminum and for some reason tries to swap with the solar panel as if it was a resource. This seems to prevent the correct display from showing making it so that you can't place the second aluminum required for construction. If you remove the solar panel from the printer all together, things seem to go back to normal and work correctly.
