  2. Hello my friends! First of all I want to tell you that I see in this game a huge potential. This forced me to spend some of my time to write few of my ideas. I would like to see in the comments what you think about them. English is not my native language, so please forgive me for any mistakes. @SES_Adam I think that you should to take a look at this. List of ideas Crystal Currency Astroneer not expose yourself for no reason. He explores the planet for economic purposes. For the game should be added currency (for example crystals able to mine) for which you would buy schemes.
  3. My friend and I were starting a new world and started adventuring and thought, "Hey! They should add creatures and monsters too this!" So maybe you guys should add some creatures that are friendly that can possibly become pets, creatures that are neutral that just don't want to be bothered with or killed, and monsters that are hostile and can kill others. Which means you need some sort of safety equipment like Armour or weapons you can have. Also maybe make a health bar which would be handy and maybe hunger since you can kill creatures you can probably add some sort of meat to the game. There

  6. Or to be more precise - safety as a resource. The idea is to have automated defensive turrets that one might even be able to attach to their backpack (and most definitely to their vehicles or base structures). No point-and-click shooting. Might require energy and/or special ammo resource to fire. Having these would create a zone of (relative) safety in environments with hostile wildlife and would turn any potentially deadly animal into a bit more intelligent version of the gas cloud emitted by underground plants.   7. I thought about having a system with weapons. Cause i agree on the Point that guns dont fit for Astroneer. So i thought about something different. How about a second mode for the Terrain tool that would transform it into a compact weapon. You could access it with "F". Then you could maybe craft components (one dot attachable modules) for that Weapon. You could for example attach a sword, a drill (to destroy stuff you built for example) or (i would love to have that) a grenade launcher, that launches small balls that explode on impact.   9. Yes please, these are all really good ideas and i just want to add to them. More resources, and could even possibly be Planet specific. (I really like the idea of many more planets, but to have more planets we need more resources and reason to go to them other than the cosmetic venture) Please Please Please structures for building walls and base/fort. (Which would be very handy if added with mobs) Since we have to have oxygen all the time it wouldn't hurt to also have to eat or drink water.   10. Main Idea 1: PvP PvP combat is something I thought this game could use. If you look at the trello page, they'll eventually add server multiplayer support. I thought having weapons and such would be a fun add-on, but don't add any health bars, I like it this way. Weapon Smith: Have a weapon creator so that you don't just use 1 item in your inventory. Swords: There should be more uses for titanium than just tanks, so use it for swords. Add 1 titanium and 1 compound in the weaponsmith to make a sword. How you implement it to wield the sword is up to you.
  11. I was thinking that there should be three different game modes. Some people are asking for a story mode. and others are asking for animals or aliens and i think that this satisfies both. 1. Current mode: The current game mode. peaceful, easy and fun. 2: "Hardened" (thinking of beter name) This game mode would have harder features and would comntain animals. Some would be friendly and some would be harmful. There could be pack animals or lone animals. The changes would involve shorter time without oxygen., less resources, and animals. For this mode there would be a few weapons.
  12. I would like to see some new fauna & flora. Maybe let it differ from planet to planet, so you can see and explore something new if you are travelling with your shuttle. Some Upgrades for your equipment, as example, make your bag bigger with more space to store or let your harvest gun mine faster through the world.   13. I'm finding parts of the game with narrow caves, and dozens of spikey plants, sure you dig them out, but it's obnoxious at times, you ruin the ground of the cave doing this. Now I've seen ideas for weapons around here, but I feel we're getting the wrong idea here. This is a very calming, and pretty game, and it's not necessarily based on total realism. It sacrifices that for a unique aesthetic, and feel, and I hope the ideas being thrown around, and catching wind on these forums don't serve to turn the game into something else.   14. This game has potential bc it's a sandbox type game and is early in its life so we should consider things that wouldn't get boring. Weapons and different space suits and attachments would be awesome. Or imagine you kill some rare alien in a cave and it drops something and you make into a awesome tool or weapon and I think more weather conditions would be interesting. Maybe even colonies of aliens for trading.

I personally think that due to the game currently not having a goal, it would be reasonable if the devs would consider keeping us eager testers occupied with some form of Player Vs Environment functionality, enabling us to engage more with worlds. In addition, I'd also like to request the implementation, or recognition at least, of various weapons that would be added alongside the hostile entities. Because currently, there's no session parameters, meaning that anyone is free to join anyone's session at their own will. However, please keep in mind, as a devoted and dedicated pre-alpha
