I was giving a break to the game and now I started re playing it I just saw there is some info at the research pad and I was like cool cos I ussually go to wiki if I want information and I tought I dont need to go to wiki for any basic thing I guess than I saw the platform info at the pad and I was like why al of them are same? I think System Era should add a simple info at the platforms more than it can provide oxygen this info can be stored in to the oxygenator. What was in my head is Lets say u are wanna research platform "Extra Large Platform C" the description should say "it contains 1 Extra Large Slot and 2 Large Slots" or "it contains 1 8 Doted Slot and 2 4 Doted Slots" etc. I think it's so simple and can increase qol nicely.
A new perspective on main menu and sub-menus
srMizuki posted a topic in Suggestions and IdeasHello guys, So I got bored and I decided to mess around with something that was bugging me about Astroneer since launch, that being the main menu and subjacent menus. I always felt that around all of the interfaces and aesthetics within the game, the main menu was one that felt a little bit off... So I create something that I could visualize as an approach to what I think it could be a more cohesive version on this interface and perhaps give some ideas of improvement (or not xd)... Mostly it was just for fun, it's nice to mess with this kind of stuff in a game that a like so much... Cheers to you all!!!
Backpack Printer "Page Indicator" Dots?
Davenaut posted a topic in Suggestions and IdeasWhen using the Small Medium and Large Printers, it's amazing how those page indicator dots help ground your "position" in a looped menu when you only have two buttons to navigate through the choices, as you can see in the Medium Printer example image below. They are missing from the backpack printer, and I think it would really help speed up the navigation if they were there, even though it's a bit visually dense (maximum 26 printable items) it would still help the user to know "where" your item is in the printable list. I added them in the second image below to see how it would look. There is even available space. As with the other printer menus, dots would appear as the items are researched. Perhaps there is another way to show this? Not a crucial addition to the game, but it sure would help speed up backpack printer navigation and make the user interfaces more consistent across all the printers.
