  1. Just a curious thought, the astroneer can receive energy from the tethers, can receive it from the trucks/rovers, the batteries on his back pack can receive energy from tethers? So just wondering why the rovers/trucks can't be recharged through a tether line?

    Trucks need to be fixed

So far me and a friend have encountered multiple glitches and problems relating to trucks. Instance 1. Solar panels etc. dissapear off the truck beds and appear back at home base. Instance 2. Trucks have, on 3 occasions, phased out of existence/eviscerated with driver in seat. Instance 3. 80% of the time when parking, truck will fly into air. Instance 4. Trucks will randomly stop working, and require having to restart to work. Instance 5. Friend was flung out of truck and could not interact with world, but as host I could still see him in the truck and he was restored when the truck flipped.
  3. Hi All check out my latest video #9
  4. I'm playing on Xbox One and I have encountered a couple issues The frame rate, the framerate is fine for the beginning of the game, but when you get to the stage in the game where you have built all of the crafting "benches" and you are prepping to go to another planet, the frame rate is terrible, even when you leave and go to another planet, the framrate stays as bad. To me it feels like 10FPS and my friends are also experiencing this too. rovers and trucks. I've found that when I launch in a shuttle and go to a different planet, then go back, my rover has always dissapeared, one time I found it and it was in the air, the other time it had clipped to the core of the planet, my friends also have this issue. Falling through the map. I've found hat when you land on a new planet/or somewhere else on the current planet, that if you get out of your shuttle as soon as it lets you, you fall through the map because it hasn't rendered the terrain yet. these are the things I hope you can fix

  6. so, i started playing a few days ago and 2 people ive been playing with have had 3-4 trucks launched into the sky and get stuck there. i think this is due to a Collision error but am not sure. i was wondering if anyone else is having problems with the rocks, or if anyone else just flat out hates the rocks too?

    Seat Belts

In the game can you make it to where you don't come out of the vehicle automatically until after the vehicle comes to a stop on its back? There has been many times where I was adventuring and driven into a decent revine, where the vehicle flips in air causing me to be ejected mid flip, I die from falling damage, and my vehicle is left MANY miles from my base. I understand forcing someone out of the vehicle if it is upside-down, but can you make it to where it waits until the vehicle is on the ground and upside down before it boots us. Thank you.
  8. PC, mouse and keyboard The rovers will work fine for a bit. Then later on I'll create more and when i enter the rovers they begin to accelerate and toss around until I am ejected. It seems to only be on ones that I make. When the problem occurs my friends rovers operate fine with me in them. This seems to happen hours into the game and after multiple rovers have been created.

    Driving rovers/trucks

Please fix the driving in the game and please add a lot more weight and traction to the vehicles. They are so easy to flip or knock around and it's probably the worst part of the whole game. I personally enjoy the driving mechanics from GTA so if you could take some inspiration when working on that, that would be amazing.
  10. Every time I come back to my home planet where all my trucks and items are, they all sink into the ground into the sourrounding tunnels. They aren't connected by 'plug' so that could help with them not falling.
  11. The first time i left my planet i had a truck and a rover connected to my base. Once i left and came back, i saw the vehicles fall into the map and get burried into a cave that was bellow my base. I had to build a whole new vehicle and start over. So i tested it out and i left again and returned to the base and i saw the same thing happen. It fell through the map into a cave. So i dug a tunnel and i saw both my vehicles in a cave below my base.

My truck keeps crashing the game

I recently gained the ability to craft tricks and it's changed the game for me, but in two ways, yes I get to use the amazing truck in all of its glory but only for 5-10 minutes before I try to get back in it or out of it and it crashes my entire game and sends me back to the Xbox home screen, I don't loose my progress 9/10 times but it's very irritating
  13. Hello System Era and other Astroneers! My friend and I recently picked this game up and we were instantly hooked. We spent a lot of time playing the game and then, having encountered a lot of wonky issues, we decided to try to break it! I was hosting on my PC on the Steam version of the game. The client is also my roommate and we're on a LAN connection. My specs are: CPU: Intel 4690k OC'd to 4.4GHz GPU: AMD Radeon Fury X RAM: 16 GB Game installed on an SSD (Client's system is nearly identical) Our findings are as follows: Trucks/rovers act erratically Once a truck has been equipped with a Storage or a Crane, the truck seems to randomly decide to fly off into space or into the core of the planet Trucks not equipped with Storage or Crane can be linked up to 3 before any performance impact is found (minor stuttering) but linking up 4 will inflict long stutters and freezing on the host. Client is visually unaffected by the host stuttering but the game does not update for them until the host is finished stuttering. During stutters, GPU and CPU usage drops way down (GPU to 0, CPU to 30% on all cores - game normally runs at 100% GPU and 70-90% CPU). Rovers can be linked up to 6 before any performance impact is found. 7th linked rover causes very long freezing and stuttering (this disconnected the client). Once client was disconnected, host recovered and performance impact was minimal. Main steps to reproduce are to be in a multiplayer game and link up as many trucks/rovers as possible until performance issues are encountered. Rovers seem to work a lot better and more reliably than trucks on a purely technical level. There seems to be some sort of weight system for the vehicles? Placing research on trucks seems to cause some strange issues like them flying off into space. It almost seems like the weight of the research pushes them into the ground, causing collision issues. Tethers cause extreme performance impact on the host's system once enough are placed. Unsure of the exact amount, but after a couple hours of cave exploring my FPS had dropped from a solid 62 to less than 30. Another hour and it was down to a constant 11 FPS. Nodes created by expanding the base with Resin seem to cause similar performance impact once enough are created. Again, unsure of the exact amount needed before any performance impact. The game seems to crash for both host and client completely randomly. I've not been able to find a common connection between any of the crashes. Sometimes the client will crash and then shortly after the host will crash. Or the host will crash out of nowhere. I've been sure to send the crash log every time. I may think of some other things we found, but this is it for now. Thanks for making a great game and I can't wait to see these bugs squashed and the game improved!

    Visual Bug

Visual bug while charging truck on battery mete. It clips through the bottom of the truck
  15. I'd love to be able to build add-ons for the front/back attachment nodes on the rover and truck. Things like blades for terrain leveling (flattening the ground for base-extension) and combines for mass-scale organic harvesting, and a storage device that would automatically populate with organics while you harvest:
  16. Trucks glitch out and create a random link from its trailer spot. When I saved and exited to try and restart the game, it crashed upon trying to reload it. The world save still shows up, but the game now crashes every time I try to reload the world. This is on Xbox and has happened on two different worlds now.
