  1. When I launch the game and I have to choose which save game to launch, the text does not fit on the screen and I have no clue what it says underneath. I assume one of them says tutorial and one says online? I am unable to switch to a different aspect ratio, it is greyed out and can't be changed, so I don't know if that would fix the issue. Aside from this, I have not yet found any issues because of my ultrawide monitor in the rest of the game, so that's very good :)
  2. I wasn't sure if I should put this as a bug or a suggestion, but decided it should be considered a bug because it makes the game very hard to play in my situation. I only have a 32-inch 720P TV. I find all of the button-icons and fonts far too smell and almost illegible on my TV. I'm only sitting 2-3 metres from the screen and don't have this problem in any other game. For example, whenever the Use (X) or Examine (Y) button icons up they are almost too small and low-resolution to see. They should be enlarged. Also, the font in some instrument panels is too small. The fonts in the Research Chamber is so small I have to sit up and move within 1 - 1.5 metres of the screen to read it, which obviously isn't OK for a console gamer. From memory the launchpad font is also too small. Others like the Fabricator and the in-game hints are fine, so it's not all. Just some of the smaller ones, and most importantly the X and Y button icons. It was certainly an initial barrier to enjoyment of the game when I downloaded the Trial, but thankfully I persevered to enjoy this absolutely awesome game :-)
  3. Description: When walking around mineral patches near the starting base green indicator rings are shown around the patches (even when fully mined, but that's another bug). It would probably be better for performance if this wasn't the case + it doesn't look so nice. Expected behavior: ring to be displayed on the floor only, not casting glows on nearby items, platforms, players, UI, etc. Actual behavior: ring is displayed on the floor but also affects outline of backpack, terrain tool and texts. Platform: Steam Version: 0.6.5 System specification: OS: Windows 10 Pro (legal copy, fully updated) CPU: I5-4690 MEM: 16GB RAM GPU: GTX 1070 (latest drivers) Controls: keyboard + mouse
  4. Hello, I'm making a single forum post for various little bugs I found recently : 1 - The Mineral Indication Text is Upside-Down 2 - Some Tumbleweed got stuck into nothing 3 - Bug with the Terrain Tool not Generating terrain on a partially mined Titanium deposit : 4 - When double tapping "A" when the backpack is open to "print" something, it cancel the build but if you want to print anyway you have to change to another blueprint and back ; video to clarify : I hope this bug report help in any way possible. I love this game, great update too!
  5. Ok, don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Astroneer, and the new update is amazing (just wish I could go into the new habitat :P). But as soon as I started doing things in my new world, I immediately noticed that there were a few things that were majorly different about the game's graphics. Firstly, the text looks much rougher, and I'm not sure if it's my graphics card (aka trash) that's causing this but it was far smoother before the update. There's also a far larger black outline around the text than there was previously, or maybe just the white part is smaller. Next, the interaction text and circle looks rough as well, and it is a little too small in my opinion. Finally, the change that bothers me most, the holograms. Before the update, the holograms were very identifiable for what they were, but now, it is much more difficult to actually see what the object is. So basically what I'm asking is, why this change, and is System Era working on fixing it? Regardless of if they are or not, I still think something should be done to at least the holograms because they are barely recognizable other than a mess of blue lines. Screenshots for comparison:
  6. So... it's clear that game was translated to russian using machine translation, but surprisingly there is not many mistakes, but mistakes were made and they are jarring for native speaker. So here a little help: Одноместный ( odnomestnyy). This is adjective. In this context means "Single seater", Single seated what? There is no noun. I'm not sure what it is, my guess is capsule. It should say Одноместная капсула ( Odnomestnaya kapsula ) Органические (organicheskie). Again, adjective without noun. Means organic (plural) , organic what? My suggestion is to call it organic matter "Органическое вещество" (Organicheskoye veshchestvo) Исследование (Issledovanie). Noun. Means "study". Nobody talks like that, you can't "build" a study. It should be called research platform "Исследовательская платформа" ( Issledovatel'skaya platforma ) or even better - science station "Научная станция" ( Nauchnaya stantsiya ) Also Соединение (Soedinenye), it's technically correct and means "compound", but it's looks kind of weird because nobody uses this word like that. It would be better to use Состав (Sostav) instead. This one is kinda amusing, it reminds me of bootleg PC games in 90's. Продать платформу (Prodat' platformu) means "to sell a platform". Its should be called trading station "Торговая станция" (Torgovaya stantsiya) I hope that this post was useful.
  7. Obviously many people have been begging for text/voice chat, and I made some quick (and very crude) representations on what should and shouldn't be the optimal choice for text chat. I believe that having a more local, bubble-like text chat would be more eye-appealing and realistic. Having a global text chat would be a bit more harsh on the immersion. Currently the only communication methods we have are the emotes and the left click pointer. The left click pointer already spawns a little emote bubble, so having text bubbles floating over the player's head for a short time would fit into the game easily. It would be completely local, so maybe later on they could implement an in-game computer/messenger system to send messages across planets to other bases that you can build. Honestly, chat might not even be good for the game but I think it'd be a necessity for it since it'd be easier than constantly sending messages over Steam/Discord. I hope this gets added but for now, I'm loving the game as it is for all it's got!
