  1. When launched using steam on PC, 'Application Load Error S:0000065432' Error pops up. Sometimes restarting the PC, or restarting steam client will solve the issue, but again the same issue next time I try to open. I have already tried verifying game files, reinstalling steam, disabling antivirus etc. System Specs: Windows 10 x64 8 GB RAM 1 TB Solid State HDD 2 GB Nvidia 920m Graphics Card
  2. hen I close Astroneer often when I open task manager I see "Astro" in the detailed list still running in the background. While in game and even with it "close" the game uses a massive % of CPU and memory. Because of that the game often crashes and my fps keep going down to 10-20 fps but i can play other games like, Borderlands 3, The Witcher with graphics on Ultra and have 60+fps.
  3. Summary: Once Astroneer is launched, the game loads until it reaches the main menu and freezes. Description: When launching the game, it loads normally. Once it begins to render 3D, the framerate takes a huge nosedive, going down to 1-2 fps, sometimes freezing completely. If graphics settings are set to lowest settings, game looks okay until starting a game, where the descent down to the planet drops the framerate to a point it just stops completely. Regardless of the settings, I can't get this game to run in any playable capacity. Platform: Steam Version / Build Number: 1.11.61.0 Specifications: OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1 CPU: Intel i5-4670 3.4GHz GPU: MSI Radeon RX580 8GB Display: LG Ultrawide 34" (2560 x 1080) RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB Drive: Samsung EVO 250 (x2, one for system, one for games) Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD I have already... updated all system/video drivers to latest verified game integrity via Steam completely uninstalled then reinstalled via Steam wiped local settings files (including old saves) moved Astroneer to SSD (from HDD) I would attach a crash log file, but this problem doesn't generate one. The game is slowing down to a point where it is freezing (music still plays however), but it never fully crashes.   4. Created a container but it does not work i.e. the soil is not going into it. I also noticed that the container in the initial training mission differs from that in a regular game in appearance. It is long and white completely in the shape of a cylinder. There is no container full indicator. View canister in training mission: Steam Version 1.11.62.0 Windows 10 I can say about the tractor that after printing and deployment, it often flies into space, sometimes together with an astronaut. Build a planet rover is already scary)) Re-install and new launch game did not help.
  5. hello, My games wouldnt save on PS4 i had an issue where everytime i got into my vehicle/house or tried to go to to main menu the game crashed so i was stuck in the same spot, i reported this and recieved a refund, with this i got the game on Steam so i could play on my PC as i do genuinely love this game, then after building on every planet and unlocking loads my game saves or back up saves wont load up the game lets me create a new game but i got really far and really dont want to have to go through it all over again... is this crashing due to a bug in in the planet? shall i stop building on my planets? how to prevent this happening in the future as i have already had to restart this game 4 times due to bugs and i really dont want this to happen again

  7. Hello, Yesterday I activated Desolo's Gateway Engine but I didn't get the "Desolo Awakened" Achievement on Steam. I have not checked if the corresponding color scheme has been unlocked. Also, I tried connecting my Steam account to this forum but I was led in an endless loop going from Steam forums to this forum and never got anywhere. If it's required, my Steam Display name is Triniam and my username is triniamvg. Thank you.

Input device: Keyboard & Mouse Platform: Steam How i achieve this bug? when i'm connected to my friend and i want to travel to another planet, then my space ship (shuttle) start glitching, for example i see just myself falling to space or just hydrazine fuel. After reaching orbit of planet everythings go fine and i can play normal as before leave my origin planet sometimes when i'm traveling through space to another planet and have this gliching travel, my game just close without any bug report or crash report window. it's littlebit flustrating when you have full large shuttle loaded with large rovers etc and you lost everything. After connecting again, ship is lost, just my inventory stay as before crash.
  9. A friend told me that there was a new visor you could unlock by logging into the game, so I opened the game and loaded my save. I haven't played for a few days. Upon loading the game, I noticed that my character had the default palette and suit on, so I went to change it back to my preference and saw that the palettes and suits I had unlocked by activating cores (specifically Sylva, Desolo and Calidor) were gone. It acted as though I never acquired them. The corresponding achievements still show as achieved for me in Steam, however. I'm lost as to how to regain these cosmetics. Platform: Steam

    Lost all of my skins

    SO I ran my steam in offline mode, and had none of my skins ( still had the achievements) and then all of my base's batteries were empty. Restarted computer and steam in online mode, no results. Was playing multiplayer earlier. WiFi suddenly cut out (my fault) and friend disconnected, may be part of issue.
  11. Haven't played the game in a while, so this error may be update related. But I verified game files through Steam and everything seems to be alright. When I try to play co-op I keep getting a weird error I've never encountered before. First, when I'm in the menu no friends show up in the co-op list, and no friends show up in game. When I try to join a friend's game through the Steam overlay nothing happens. When I try and accept an invite from the menu an error message pops up saying "This invitation is for a different game than the one you're currently playing. Please close the current game, and accept the invitation from your desktop." When I try and accept the invite from desktop, nothing happens and I go to the normal menu. My friend and I both have the same update version and everything. Also, one time when I tried to open the game an an Error message 6608 popped up, but I couldn't find reference of it online. Anyone know a way I can get co-op to work again?
  12. So I flew off to tundra to try and get the tundra outfit. All ready to go. I experienced some small bugs along the way such as medium batteries havng their yellow bar outside of the actual battery itself but nothing mayor until I noticed the gateways I had activated 6-7 weren't activated. Only 2 gateways ever showed up, always the origin point gateway (the one I was at) and the one I had activated before that (I think).

    Refresh rate/running issues

    Backstory: I got the game when I was on a trip to Germany to see some family (I live in the UK but I'm not native) and played the game on my cousins PC (same stats as mine but different hardware). I got home and found an issue that I could not find in any game related forum so far. Behaviour: I start the game and the first 5sec are normal. The fun begins after the "SYSTEM ERA" logo. The game looks like its frozen, but its not. when I press ALT+TAB the screen refreshes and shows a different picture (noticed by the position of the loading circle), and it does not get better after the game menu loads, and oh boy does it take long to load(20+ min just for the menu). Tested fixes: -Low FPS fix from https://windowsreport.com/fix-astroneer-fps-issues/ -directX update(it was up to date)
  14. I've seen them on all the other planets (and moons), but I've never seen any on Vesania, for some reason. This is holding back my progress on the holiday content, since I'm currently on Vesania and intend to stay there for a while.
  15. I am thinking of gifting a copy of Astroneer to someone, but I was wondering: is multiplayer cross-platform? Say between Steam and Xbox, or PS4 and Xbox?
  16. I packaged a Rover Seat that I had connected to a Medium Rover, which was tethered to another Medium Rover with a Rover Seat. I placed the packaged seat in my Backpack, and attempted to enter the front rover's seat, causing a crash-to-desktop. This prompts "Saving Game," but the save does not succeed. This does not always create a log when duplicating the bug. I have also tried leaving the packaged seat on the rover, and even leaving the packaged seat on the ground before entering the front rover's seat; this does not change the outcome. Whenever I close the game, either through the game itself or force-closing it through the Steam interface that appears in-game, it's technically still running, and can't be found in the Windows task manager, but Steam indicates that it's still running when trying to start the game again (the STOP button on the library page doesn't work on this game). Ultimately, I have to close the Steam application completely to get the game to close.

    Extreme memory leaks

    Summary: 1.8.64.0 - Steam - Extreme memory leaks (~20GB), crashes Description: After a certain amount of playtime, the memory usage becomes extremely high, inducing swapping and other problems (external applications crashing). The used memory also does not get allocated to the Astro.exe process afterwards, although the OS GC does clear it after the process terminates. The game process also seems to take a much longer time to terminate in this case, probably a result of trying to discard memory before exiting. Example 1: 27 GB of total memory usage, approximately 21 GB used by Astro.exe, 9GB reported by OS. Playtime was about ~3 hours. A friend joined midway as well and left later on. Example 2: 17GB total usage, 9GB used by Astro.exe after 30 minutes of playtime. Also co-op. Furthermore I do understand that the more memory a machine has, the more should be used (unused memory is wasted memory), but it shouldn't impact the performance of the entire system, or make other applications outright crash, and under no circumstance leak. This issue was also observed on the friend that joined me in the above two examples, albeit it ends with the game crashing (CTD). His setup composes of a i7 4790K at stock and 16GB of memory. In both examples I was the game host, with a save originally created on the version before the "Holiday Update".   19. As soon as the update loaded my system is unable to load any games. It loads about 30% then freezes and all I can do is hard reboot.
  20. Hello, First of all I understand Linux isn't a priority as far as platforms go. But I wish to raise this recent issue to at least put it on your radar. After the Creative Mode update today my Steam copy remains in Offline Mode whereas with the Groundwork Update it was connecting alright. The effect it has is of course the suits/pallets/visors that I've unlocked are now locked again and my Steam friends are no longer showing up in the multiplayer tab. I've attached Proton's log. Of interest are lines 1167-1169: Unfortunately it overwrites the logfile each time the game is started so I don't have another to compare it against. I did capture my network traffic and it does look like some encrypted data is being transferred (successful? unsuccessful? I can't tell) I'm going to roll back my version to capture some additional logs and packets and see what else I can sniff out.     Double GC

    I resumed an old save - from 1.0 no less. This is on Glacio. My base is around an activated GC. And now there is an unactivated GC at the same location but slightly lower.

Summary: 1.7.55.0 - Steam - Terrain glitch at base Description: After installing the new update and jumping into my existing save (this was the first time loading it up), some oddly blocky terrain "grew" over my launch pad. this terrain was not here yesterday. The terrain is removable and has collision- like normal terrain.   23. 'ello there, Oki, first of all, I must say I am loving the new update, and the PS4 is fun to play it on too. But to the issue at hand, I have been playing on Steam with a friend and have had an odd situation occur, I have had resources (Plastic x2) vanish, The resources were on a Med. Silo too placed on a platform too so not loose., not only on my screen but hers too as if going into the void, sadly I don't record my gameplay so I cannot document this as of yet but I will have to see if I can arrange it for the future. This is just a heads up to see if anyone can look into it, it has been a minor inconvenience so far is all. Thx in advance... Kaz

    Terrain Glitch

    My friend and I are on a multiplayer game and the terrain is re-forming and glitching for them. I don't know if this has been covered on the forums before, but is there any way to fix it? I have attached a badly edited image to show what I mean. I am playing on software version 1.6.49.0
