    "Sleep" mechanic

    Some sort of feature for time to pass by quicker. Maybe when you enter the shelter, you would have the ability to skip half a day in-game, since currently the shelter is only used for saving and a small bit of power. This would be useful if you had to wait for a vehicle to recharge, something to finish printing/scanning etc.

    there should be a sleep system where you start to get tired after 30 IRl minutess and every 10 min after that it gets worse. you pass out after one hour. the habata should hold 3 ppl that are able to sleep at once, and you can walk around inside. the camara will be on the wall so you can see the whole interior from one angle. feedback?
  3. Stuff in Space is kinda hard to do without a few things. Food, Water and Sleep are all important(in the real world). I think these could be added as a sort of "hard mode". Food So you're kinda hungry and the nearest seven eleven is pretty far away. What can you do? Build yourself a greenhouse! its another base piece but it can be used to make food(no seeds or micromanagement needed, just the building, powered of course). Possibly might consume canisters of water and soil for increased production. It fills up a canister of food which can last maybe a week or two and is consumed over time as it is on you.(the suit automatically feeds u as needed, it sucks it up through the canister connection and tubes it straight to your mouth) Water Need something to drink too. How do u get water on a barren planet that has no bodies of water? An atmospheric condenser! It sucks hydrogen and oxygen out of the air and combines it into water which it outputs into canisters. (could make it come with a couple canisters in case u don't have that yet) Its another building, it just requires power. Or there can be another version that takes water from soil using the mineral extractor. Atmospheric condenser may also have a smaller shoulder or backpack mount version that produces a bit of water(into a canister with water in it already). The suit auto feeds the water as needed over time from the connection on the backpack. A canister of Water could last like a week also. Sleep Middle of the night and just want the sun to come up?(single player) Why not take a snooze in the Stasis chamber? Want to wait it out until there is more food and water produced by your modules? Just wait in the stasis chamber(you don't need food while in stasis). Can also be used to speed research.(input time in stasis, or until morning buttons).(there is no actual interior cell in the stasis chamber. Its basically shaped like a curvy high tech coffin just the size u can lay down in for sleeping(maybe a glass lid if u wanna get fancy). You can tab into or out of it like entering a vehicle. It could possibly work on multi player if all the people are sleeping at once and they click sleep until morning or group stasis(host decides time). Its a permanent attachment to the base(not very mobile). Its also a good place to wait out a hostile storm.
  4. I am attaching an image, with the concept laid out in a type of crude blueprint. I apologize for the multiple images, i over estimated the amount of space I could write on, and still get a viable scan. lol Ok so a basic explanation of the IDEA. I saw the suggestion on a Personal Home, this is a different take on that, and more of a communal living and light work area protected from storms and the like. As the present Modules exist, once you gain the platform creation option in the 8 node module, where you choose RESEARCH etc, Add Dome. - This Dome would have a door, and ability to spread more halls to other Dome expansions, so you could have Bedding to pass the night or day (depending when you sleep) - The Dome would have Building Nodes with in it that can be morphed into BUNKS, Grow Stations (where one could say grow organics or even rares, perhaps planting marbles? ) in the center, a table zone that can be material storage, or built into an area or space / planet map table, or even a control module for satellites. Just throwing this out there, I know there is a ton of suggestions and I like them all, minus the lowering or nerfing the difficulty, changing of the oxygen rules. (I feel these risks are the main challenge to the game and should remain unchanged). Creatures? Hmm it opens a whole different experience. - I read through and did searches on this and did not see any expansion modules such as this Dome idea.

    A Few Ideas

    Main Idea 1: PvP PvP combat is something i thought this game could use. If you look at the trello page, they'll eventually add server multiplayer support. I thought having weapons and such would be a fun add-on, but don't add any health bars, I like it this way. Weapon Smith: Have a weapon creator so that you don't just use 1 item in your inventory. Swords: There should be more uses for titanium than just tanks, so use it for swords. Add 1 titanium and 1 compound in the weapon smith to make a sword. How you implement it to wield the sword is up to you. Guns: I don't think regular guns would fit this world, but laser guns most likely would. You could have multi-part guns that start out with a pistol, but you could add parts such as a scope, larger battery, silencer, etc. You would make this out of a battery, titanium, and compound. Mechas: Enter a vehicle that doesn't have any uses yet, but you can add a small drill, gun, or sword. Pretty much anything you desire. It could be bi-pedal or have wheels. It would be customizable in most ways. Turrets: If you've read anything in this then you'll guess what I'm going to say. A modular turret that needs power to shoot. You can place it anywhere and it tracks any players or monsters which is another idea that I will explain later. Main Idea 2: Buildings and Such Building: There should be ways to create your own building which is created with a room-maker or whatever you want to call it. You would start out with creating a platform, then on that platform you add floors and more floors which are all made with compound or titanium, if you want more resilient or less resilient building materials. The floors would snap together and create a... floor. You would also have to create pillars before you add walls. Stairs would also be an add-on, but customized by making every single step. That is my thought on building, rather than piling a bunch of dirt on top of dirt. Which brings me to my next idea. Multi-material Stacking: Instead of just shooting dirt, you could change the color of the material. Space Stations: This is a topic that I've been building up on. I think it would be very fun to make it so that you can build a space station that would be as customizable as a building. Miscellaneous Ideas NPCs: My friend has been bothering me about needing to fight monsters in the game. He said that it would make the game more interesting. Having aliens or other ways to die than spiky plants or fall damage. I also think it would be very fun to have aliens or whatever that drop items or fart rainbows, basically do anything. VR Support: Using either the Vive or Oculus make it so that you can have full room support or just sitting at your computer. Really, I don't care how you do it. Sleep: I think that you need to sleep after 16 in-game hours, and if you don't, you start hallucinating or something. You need to sleep in a habitat for 30 seconds so it isn't boring to regenerate your sleep-meter.
