    Small shuttle landing bugged

    Hello System Era Team! I was playing Astroneer here the other day with a friend. We spent like 6 hours on the same world and quickly discovered a bug with the Small Shuttle when we wanted to go space traveling. The problem occurs when you land a Small Shuttle. The thing is, when you first have printed a Small Shuttle you cannot move it. Then you launch it. When you then land on the home planet again it lands near the place you created it. In our case it landed on the side of our vehicle bay. This means it's blocking it. Well, not physically but optically blocking. We cannot move it so it stays there. All we can do is launch again and hope for a better landing spot next time. Of course we have gotten further and no longer need our Small Shuttles and therefore they're just there, floating mid-air, making our base look messy. Neither can it be removed nor moved. I have attached a photo in which the bug is displayed on the right side. Additionally: We had two and they land at the exact same place. This does not really do anything as they still work and we can still access both just fine, it's just a suggestion; maybe you should change that. It makes that part of the game look clumsy. Thank you for great game, can't wait till release.
  2. Hello, Been following this game since it first come out, but only started playing it last week. My thought (if not already raised - couldn't see it on the list), is when your orbiting a planet trying to land all the landing spots are blue... I wish we had different colours for the pre-set landing zones and the vehicle bays. This would help Astroneers select the right spot if they built their vehicle bay on top of the landing zone (or your first base). First suggestion is I thought, I wish the Vehicle Bays showed up as a different colour, like green. But to expand on that thought, on hitting [E] on the vehicle bay, you can alter the colour of it. Maybe indicated by a flashing light on its model. When in orbit, the colour set will shade the dome icon for the lander... so you can clearly select the right location from orbit. When in an orbitting shuttle, adding a [Q] option to cycle through the filters (all landing spots/landing zones only/vehicle bays only).
  3. What if all the landing locations (the bubbles when floating in space above a planet) were working/semi-working landing platforms? So when you land the shuttle you find a base or semi-operable base. Leave terran with the amount it has now (or maybe just a few less) as this is where every astroneer starts his journey and those are the leftovers from the ones that came before. Then limit the other planets to no more than maybe 4 or 5 locations to land at with pads. This gives you a location to start a new base from, or scrap the broken parts left behind. Also give the option in mid-late game to build our own platforms, maybe as a progression step to creating the bigger ships to allow for their cost to be decreased, so that exploring the planet we can choose a new location to launch from when we've found abundant resources in an area. (maybe even bring back the renewable resources spread far and wide but finding singular patches of resources just as scarce which would encourage finding and building near the renewable resources as opposed to search an entire planet for enough, of course just like byte plants these would stop if dug up)

    The first shuttle I built is locked in place, and regardless of what I try and do to disloged it, it won't budge. Tried: - Deleting ground below it - Inceasing terrain below it - Slamming rover into it - Using winch
  5. Hello, It was sunny day, nothing foreshadowed troubles, i was shopping some zinс on the moon and when i go in to the shuttle ( it was 1-seat opened), it suddenly change to 1-seat closed! The control buttons disappeared and i can`t control it and escape from it! My friend come to me, he tooked 1-seat closed while i was there ( we have no 1-seat closed in this game ) and he saw a shuttle with 1-seat opened! He dropped me on the moon and he goes to home base ( i was on the moon in 1-seat closed) AND THEN HAPPEND THIS ! And nothing can fix this (
  6. All non-rotatable vehicle modules build by vehicle bay are 180 degrees from normal I`m playing Steam Windows version of game
  7. I built medium shuttle, after tourney to another planet with small shuttle - it landed right in to medium shuttle! Also - after save - my small / medium rover almost allwyas is sunken in to surface. Sadly - it happens also with hard surfaces! One more thing - after save ang game reload i very often lose resources - left in smelter and other buildings. This is very, very sad! Also resources left on ground (specially built, hovered holes) - is mostly lost after game reload. Just reload after save, nothing more. When i play fo hours - they stay remaining, after save almost everything i gone!
  8. I build a large storage on a shuttle, but now the seats don't work. Since is not possible to remove, now I'm stuck with a shuttle where I used all my resorces to build, filled with hydrazine and completely useless. So I ask for suggestion on what to do now. Also, Please: remove this "feature", if I'm not supposed to do that, don't let me (or at least let me fix my mistakes). Thank You.
  9. I've had funny situation when came back to Terran. I have 2 vehicle bays: for vehicles and for shuttle. And I confused them... ? My suggestion: let a vehicle bay be a landing point only if a shuttle was built with it. And I haven't seen that rover again ? ASTRONEER (Game Preview) 10.09.2018 01_29_36 (1).mp4
  10. I have a large shuttle with two large storage modules and an enclosed 1-seat on it, and, before the 0.9.2 update, there was nothing wrong with that, but now there is. In the new update, you can not launch in to orbit from an enclosed 1-seat attached to a large storage module, and I don't like that. I saw a gamer on YouTube solve this problem by exploding his large shuttle with dynamite but I don't want do that as I don't want to make another shuttle. Please, in the next update, let me launch in to orbit with needing to make dynamite, another large shuttle, and another large storage.

    Shuttle take-off issues

    Hi all! I'm new to Astroneer, having started last week, so I didn't get to experience any of the game prior to this current version. From various youtube videos I looked up, it used to be the case that : - You could put the enclosed/open seat/dropship on the large storage unit on a small shuttle. But trying the same thing out now, both in a small and big shuttle doesn't seem to work. Whichever of the three kinds of "seats" you put on the storage unit (regardless of shuttle), you will only be allowed to enter/exit it but you won't be offered the chance to launch. It seems putting a seat on the storage turns it into a passenger seat or just a mod you get to put on/off. So my question is, why is it even possible to put storage on a small shuttle if this will condemn it to being grounded? The only way to "fix" it is to blow it up with dynamite. The option should just not be there to put storage on a small shuttle.

    while I was playing this game I came across a problem I built a rover on one planet but I cant move it so I had this idea what if after researching everything there is a massive shuttle you can park rovers in have extending platforms so you can put buildings on it now to make this item not useless to make planets only it can reach also I ran into the problem of not having enough space on rovers due to buildings so I thought what if there was something you could research that its like a portable base that extends that has multiple buildings now im not good at explaining by typing so if this confuses you feel free to contact my discord so that we may talk at trueghostly#6887
  13. Since the last update, it apparently isn't possible to start a shuttle anymore if the seat has been placed on a large storage and it is both appearing for the open and for the closed seat. Is this a bug or has this been done on purpose?
  14. I found one of the raised shuttle platforms on Barren in my current save, so I built a base around it. My plan was to use the three tier-3 attachment points around the ring for shuttle-related things: One (dedicated) vehicle bay, one trade platform, one fuel condenser. However, I then discovered two problems with this plan: 1. The vehicle bay (when located on the 'left' attachment point from the stairs) is unable to build a large shuttle -- the schematic is the "something is in the way" magenta rather than the "okay to build" blue. Other vehicles (a Small and a Large rover) were built fine. 2. When I built the large shuttle at a different vehicle bay and manually moved it (launch + land) to be on top of the platform, it hovers over the ground rather than making contact with the platform. (It looks like it's level with the raised outside edge of the platform rather than the inner part) Seems a platform that's obviously for shuttle launches should be able to function for shuttle launches Not tested with regular size shuttles.
  15. It seems as if the launch keys do not work on the shuttle if a large storage unit has been placed on it.
  16. If you were to make a lvl 4 connection... maybe a triangle shaped plug, that only the single and triple shuttle seats have, this would fix all bugs with seats and the shuttle. There could be 1 slot on the side of the shuttle or 2, but not in front of where the fuel tank is filled. A habitat and open seats shouldn’t fit.
  17. I used my vehicle bay to build a small shuttle. Without moving it, I started building a crane for one of my rovers. Yeah, I had no idea that you needed to park your vehicle under the Vehicle Bay printer arm, I thought it just worked like all the other printers/fabricators. I also had no idea it would become PERMANENTLY attached to my shuttle, ruining both the crane and the shuttle. The question is... why even allow a crane to be placed on a shuttle? It's not like I can go mining in outer space, right? And if you do allow it why not allow cranes to be removed, just like virtually anything else I can stick on a vehicle?

    I can not build a shuttle

    Hello people. Houston, we have a problem. I have resources, a flat area, but I can not build a shuttle. This base is away from the main base, I got lost and I want to go back by shuttle. Help.
  20. Many people mentioned the problem that you dont even need to build a shuttle and visit other planets. The tradeplatform was one of the reasons. I suggest that it would need certain augments to be functional the way it is now. Let's say without augments it could only convert scrap to resources.There is one augment-type per planet, and you could only find the research/resource needed to craft it on said planet. E.g. if you attached the terran-augment, the tradeplatform would be capable of trading the resources found on terran. But that means the resources also need to be more planet-specific.

    Multiplayer shuttle

    In multiplayer, the only person that can launch the rocket is one of the guests, because if the host launches the rocket, everyone in it besides the host just gets stuck in space, and cant click anything or return to home base.

    Shuttle Fuel usage

    I read on the wiki that it takes 1/2 a canister of fuel to launch from a planet (Terran) into orbit. I usually have a full tank plus two canisters with fuel when I launch. My camera was oriented to watch the shuttle, and when I launched, both canisters were emptied. It should have only been 1/2 of a canister. I haven't tried measuring the fuel usage. I think I should be able to launch-land 10 times on the tank; or 12 with the two canisters. (At least, that's what the wiki says.) So this may be a visual issue.
  23. Player 1 was inside a seat mounted on the shuttle, player 1 was then removed from the shuttle (while still being inside the seat) by player 2 and placed on the ground. While the seat was on the ground player 1 was still able to press the launch shuttle button. Player 1 pressed the button and the shuttle launched without any player.
  24. Hi! I started going through the tutorial and came to the part where I am supposed to build my first seat on the space shuttle. I am unable to build the seat because the first time I walked up on to the launchpad, the shuttle itself went flying off and landed near my base. I cannot move the shuttle so it seems I am permanently stuck in this part of the tutorial. I've provided some screenshots of where the shuttle landed and what is shown when examining the printer machine-thing.

    Shuttle Modularity

    I just had this idea of having a Fuelcondenser plus a medium solar panel on a large shuttle. But it obviously it didn't let me open the condenser. In my opinion this should be able. Just imagine the possibilities: Taking your Research with you on your journey so you can easily start new research once you found some, having infinite fuel with the fuel condenser( But sacreficing valuable space on your ship), or using the time you wait for your transit window to open to smelt some copper or aluminum. Let me know if you habe any other ideas regarding this topic.
