  1. Recently, my brother just set foot again of Calidor and I told him to watch out for Sandstorms... Turned out that none came... Are they bringing back sandstorms? Because sandstorms are like the one form of weather in the game.
  2. I recently got Astroneers and I'm overall very happy with the game. The only downside is the sandstorms, which really isn't even that big of a deal. You just go sit in the exo habitat or a cave, and wait it out. In regards to the exo habitat, what I think would help a lot is if you could look through the crafting menu while you sit there. There has been many a time where I'm just sitting in the exo habitat waiting for the sandstorm to end and I'm thinking about what to do next, i.e. what materials I need to get or what my next big crafting project should be, so it would really help being able to just look at the crafting menu while I'm waiting in the exo habitat to make those decisions. I know this isn't a particularly big gameplay change, but honesty I feel that it would add something do in the exo habitat rather than just having to sit and wait. Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
  3. Adding the abillity for large rovers to put out of the down side of its platform some pillars that will raise the large rover not allowing it to move. This will be the most effective during sandstorms and while drilling. This will also add a nice feature, special only for the large rover, making it more interesting.
  4. Hi, I just want to know why the astronaut covers his face during a sandstorm although he has a helmet on. I understand why he would be slow but why cover his face?
  5. So I have been playing quite a long time now and I could go on for days with suggestions, but this is my most recent, simple, and interesting idea. I really dig the sandstorms, but i think having storms raise/manipulate the terrain they collide with could result in some interesting outcomes. For one, this could lead to tunnels, vehicles, and buildings getting buried, and that is a good challenge to work against. Secondly, I would increase the amount in which pre-buried crash sites and research are hidden after passing storms.
  6. For use when there's a sandstorm on the way and you can't get to safety in time. Created with the Backpack's 3D Printer. Consumes 1 Compound. When made, it floats up above your Astroneer, then rapidly fabricates a grey, dome-shaped shelter over you. Whilst inside your Astroneer is protected from the debris of the sandstorm, plus your Astroneer does not consume oxygen (the shelter has its own in-built filter system. The shelter lasts for about the length of time the sandstorm lasts, although it can be left at any time by pressing any button. Once left, the shelter self-destructs, making this a single-use, consumable item.
