  1. Hello my friends! First of all I want to tell you that I see in this game a huge potential. This forced me to spend some of my time to write few of my ideas. I would like to see in the comments what you think about them. English is not my native language, so please forgive me for any mistakes. @SES_Adam I think that you should to take a look at this. List of ideas Crystal Currency Astroneer not expose yourself for no reason. He explores the planet for economic purposes. For the game should be added currency (for example crystals able to mine) for which you would buy schemes.
  2. As explorers exploring unexplored caves, ropes and zip-lines should be essential tools of the trade. Imagine your astroneer rappelling up and down a deep cave, or zip-lining between two distant points, say, two mountaintops or a cave entrance and down its depths. Harnesses, ropes, cables, anchors, pulleys, grappling hooks and their delivery systems, all could be unlocked from the research catalog and crafted using already-available materials such as iron, tungsten, titanium, aluminum, or copper.   3. I just got another Idea that came a while ago Playing Astroneer. I was exploring a deeep cave and thought: Hm... I would need to dig a way aaaall the way up there to be able to get back. Now imagine me having a rope that i can attach to the roof of the cave (it would automatically extend down to the ground under it, physicsbased) and then just press tab to attach to the Rope and slide down or up on it using "w" and "s".   4. I have no idea if this has been suggested before or not, but I was wondering whether or not why something like organ material can't be used to make something like rope? So that when there's a sharp cliff, and you can't handle the deformer tool reliably enough to make a climbable slope, we can use the rope to climb up... and perhaps it'd be kinda like the tether, where you get a stack of, say, 15, that can reach about where you can deform... or you can put in something like a ladder, or both
  5. Rope for spellunking in caves would be really cool. This could have a winch-like utility, yet clip to your backpack, rather than your vehicle. A few keyboard keys could be bound to allow you to go up, down, and release the anchor. Meanwhile, directional keys could allow you to swing like a pendulum. The ultimate feat being to swing onto a ledge and release, mid-air.

  7. Hello. I just got an impulsive suggestion while doing some terraforming. It would be nice to have some way or ways to climb in the game such as, ladder, rope, grappling hook or by litterally climbing the terrain. although the last one might be a challange =P. Anyway, just wanted to contribute will post more suggestions if they cross my mind. (Note: might be a duplicate, saw one that seemed similar to this suggestion, but not quite.... well leaving that to the mods =/ )
