    game unplayeble

Hello i have a problem with the game that it is unplayeble on my resolution 5120x1440 thats fine by me but it wont even let me select a working resoltion other then 5120x1440 or 3840x1080 what has the same problem. using winowd mode and resizing the game wont work becousue it resizes it diogonal. using steam launch options with "-popupwindow -screen-width 2560 -screen-height 1440" also does not work (i know 2560x1440 shut work becouse my cousin is using that resolution)
  2. I've been having this issue since last 2 patchs. i was playing normally, a bit laggy but without further issues. Now i'm not even able to open the game. Attached some of the specs and the error that i've encountered. Any options to fix this, besides buying a new pc? :c
  3. I found the cause of the issue where Astroneer can't set or save the proper resolution (but keeps defaulting to 720p only). It has to do with Windows Font Scaling/Sizing. If don't use 100% then you can't set the resolution in Astroneer. The problem is my 4k TV, when font scaling set to 100% is so microscopic you can't read it on the screen (I was at 300% so I could read it), but it does not permit Astroneer to set the appropriate resolution. So to fix it you can either a) live with 100% font scaling using 4k resolution with super-tiny text, or b) set your native resolution to 1080p (1920 x 1080) with 100% scaling (you won't get 4K images), and either one these works until System Era can get this work apart from the font scaling issue.
  4. Hello, as the title says, only one resolution is available 3000x2000. I'm playing on a Matebook Pro (with Nvidia GPU) and wouldn't mind lowering the resolution to gain some fps Thank you!
  5. I am running a three monitor setup on my windows 10 PC. Monitor 1 (Primary is a 4k Monitor 2 is 1920x1200 (the monitor Astroneer launches onto) Monitor 3 1920x1080 (seems to be unaffected) I cannot get the game to move over onto Monitor 1 4k without putting the game into windowed mode and then dragging it over. Then the game thinks it is still on monitor 2 1920x1200 so it does not give me the option to run in 4k at all. This is a game breaking bug that NEEDS to be fixed. For now I cannot play Astroneer because the max resolution I can get it up to is 2560x1600 and it does not look good on my 4k. I would be of much help if someone can contact me and help me find a solution or let me know when the bug is patched. Thank You, System Era, for creating such a great game that I enjoyed (for a really long time) before this bug. -Lambo
  6. So I play on an ultrawide monitor and unfortunately Astroneer doesn't officially support 21:9 aspect ratio. But after a few minutes of diggin through the config files I figured out how to get Astroneer to play in ultrawide resolution. Basically what you want to do is: 1. Go to your windows search bar and type %appdata% 2. This will take you to the "Roaming" folder 3. At the top click on "AppData" then go into Local 4. From there you'll want to head into Astro/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/GamerUserSettings.ini 5. In there you'll want to edit a few things, namely: "ResolutionSizeX" & "ResolutionSizeY" to your monitor resolution "LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX" & "LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY" to your monitor resolution "bUseDesktopResolutionForFullscreen" to true and "DesiredScreenWidth" & "DesiredScreenHeight" to your monitor resolution And that's it! Save the file and Astroneer should launch at your desired resolution.
  7. Hi. I play in 4k resolution and the problem you get then is that the dot for where the mouse is is SO tiny its hard to see. Please add a way to change the size of the dot Frode
  9. Minimum resolution allowed is still very high, not all people have a pc that runs the Minimum of this game, minimum resolution was to be 800x480 Pixels. So that it is accessible with more devices, for example I wanted to play a lot, but I can't because my notebook can't run this game with more than 25 FPS, this will make the game can be sold and searched in the future, within the gamer community. Currently the minimum resolution is 1280x720, Very high FOR MY VETERAN WAR NOTEBOOK!!!
  10. Hi, I have problem, I have Ultrawide monitor Samsung CHG90 (49", 3840x1080, 32:9). I can´t change resolution, game will just fill whole monitor, so I can´t see much content and I can´t change resolution. If I start it in window, It says its in window, but it seems like window borderless and resolution is still same, unchangable. I event tried change it by hardcode in steam (-w 1920 -h 1080) nothing. Thanks for answers :)
  11. Summary: The game does not render at the set resolution. Description: Since day one I've noticed the game seemed really blurry, but thought it was a creative thing. It's been bothering me more and more since the game released and the game is definitely not rendering at the setting I have it to (1920x1080). Example: I've noticed this EXACT same thing happen in another Unreal Engine game, Dead by Daylight, but I found a fix for that game. I tried it on Astroneer and it worked, and is now running at proper 1080p without any blurriness to it: Notice the text in the upper right. I believe this is some issue with Windows 10 scaling and the Unreal engine, but I'm not sure. Anyway, the fix is: Go to: "steam/steamapps/common/Astroneer EARLY ACCESS" Right click "Astro" and go to Properties, Compatibility, click "Override high DPI scaling behavior" and leave it to Application. I thought I'd share this issue and fix with the community if anyone else wants to try this out. 13. Summary: - Steam - Resolution wont go past 1920x1200 Description: I haven't played in a while and saw that the game got a new update. I load up the game and the resolution wont go past 1920x1200. I tried the fixes that I could find on google but they're from a while ago and didn't work. Then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't work either. Am I missing something?
