Summary: Very frequently, I encounter random crashes while playing the game on one of my saves. I do not know what is causing it. Description: Whenever I play on one of my saves, I crash randomly while on Desolo. It doesn't matter what I am doing either. I have crashed while exploring, mining resources, driving around on a tractor, moving base options (such as a medium storage), venturing into the moon's core. My game freezes and goes unresponsive and then I crash, absolutely no warning or reasoning given. I do not receive a crash report. Platform: Steam / XBox One / Windows 10 Store Version / Build Number: - 22.214.171.124 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 CPU: Intel i7-8700k GPU: Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 Ti RAM: G.Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4 3200 (32 GB) Drive: Samsung 860 EVO 250GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD
My little guy dies at random! I can be standing right next to the main habitat, like literally touching, and he'll just do his little spin and die. This wasn't so bad when I was still in the general area of the habitat, but I was half way across the planet and this happened and I got sent ALL the way back to the base! Is anyone else having this problem.
THE H0BBlT posted a topic in Suggestions and IdeasI've been waiting for a game of this sort for years, and now it's finally on it's way. I love this game. It has a lot of potential. I just wanted to share a few ideas I had of mine that I feel may widen the game's horizon. More survivability, as in more hazards. Maybe more lethal weather patterns anyone? Tornadoes, lightning, Acid rain (meteor showers would be fun). Build-able Space Station. It would be assembled in space and the parts would be built on the surface via vehicle bay and new means of hauling large objects for the Spaceship, like a cargo hold. The space station would consist of different parts that would need to first be researched. For instance, Space station habitat, space station solar panel, space station thrusters, space station construction pad. Each part would consist of large studs to link them together so many different variations of space stations could be built. Different parts could have more studs to add things like storage, docking, and even the necessities, like the printer, the smelter, the research bay, etc. as for navigating and operation of the space station you would simply float around it via tether. (It would also be cool if the parts of the space station looked reminiscent of the crashed space junk found on planets, like the giant solar). Dome: a very large bubble like object that could be built on a resin pad that would inflate/deflate and could cover your entire base. In the dome the Astroneer could breathe freely, as well as be protected from the elements while hindering the usefulness of wind turbines inside the dome. Airborne surveillance vehicle. A small vehicle that could be flown using hydrazine for rapid transportation of personnel and cargo. And finally the ability to take large objects (printer, fuel condenser, vehicle bay, etc.) off of resin pads to rearrange them as needed (or even better put them on the cargo hold on the spaceship, where it could be taken to the space station and be used via space station). Tell me what you think. This is what I hope SystemEra will do. What do you want to see implemented into astroneer?
°°Random Planetary Events/ET Visitations°° Picture this your Playing astroneer and you hear a loud explosion, you look up to the sky and see a a large fireball streaking across the sky you watch as it impacts the planet. You curiosity gets the best of you and you set out on a adventure to find out what is was that crash landed. You reach the area of impact to find a large creator inside you find... Here are some ideas on what you might find - A large asteroid or meteor possibly filled with rare resources or Something unique maybe even in the form as a unknown that can be carried to the research module - A Human crash landed Aircraft or pod possibly carrying resources, AI robots, or maybe even other Human NPC who may be friendly or hostile. And who may also start to build a base on the planet.(Making the planet feel more alive.) - Crashed or Landed Alien Aircraft with Alien NPC who may be hostile. The Ship's parts can be stripped to be researched or Maybe a small one man UFO can be placed on the research module to unlock extraterrestrial technology. Picture this scenario you reach the area of impact only to see a UFO either crashed or landed safely. You see Aliens wandering either scavenging or disoriented from the crash. The Aliens would then depending on there personality or Race either attack you or be curious of you and from there a realtionship would form for trades etc. Also on that note these events should be random all over the world on any planet and when something enters the atmosphere you should see it burning up as it enters the planet. This would give this exciting feeling of wanting to go investigate the impact site and lead to some interesting adventures as you never know what you may find. Atmosphere Burn ups should include yourself as you travel from planet to planet this effect would make entering planets feel more realistic. °°Weather Effects°° Each planet should have its own weather effects and hazards unique to each. For instance on a Terran planet similar to a earth like planet you may get Thunder Storms, sandstorms, snow storms etc depending on the area of the planet you are on. But let's imagine some new Hazards into the mix such as, Acid rain, Blizzards, Tsunami, Radiation Bursts, Solar Flares, Volcano Eruptions with Lava, Earthquakes, Tornadoes or maybe even as you advance and make your footprint on the universe ET become curious and visit and now your faced with Visitation and possibly abduction to there ship or there planet and you must build and escape.
