    Research Catalog In Players Body

I was playing astroneer with my friend and i looked at him and the Research catalog was the size of his body and he was walking around. Its a bug but looks quite funny. On the picture: On the left is me and on the right is the research catalog inside character.

    Gravity manipulation gear

Several ideas have gone through my head about gravity manipulation in Astroneer. Please comment if you have a better idea for upgrades. One: A player upgrade that allows walking on walls and ceilings at the cost of 1 bar of suit power every ten seconds resulting in 100 seconds of wall/ceiling walking (unless a battery is used) Two: A vehicle upgrade for small and medium rovers only (or maybe just small) that allows wall/ceiling driving at a slightly faster power drain than normal, which is why large rover might not be a suitable vehicle for this upgrade, it already drains one bar in about 4 seconds. Three: This is not really gravity manipulation, but more of an augment that goes on the terrain tool allowing for extended reach for terrain manipulation. Four: Another player upgrade that allows for sucking objects up from a far distance (this would make an official long distance interaction device instead of the terrain tool grab glitch) or have a drone object that fallows you that you can use to target research objects, wreckage, and mined materials on the ground and have it carry that back to base or keep it by the players side.

    Color Customization

Uhm... I know you guys going to make character customization but can you guys add color customization too. Like, when you play solo the color is always blue but i really like the color red. It could be good i guess. Also R.I.P Medium Printer.

    Slider down ramps bug.

Dear Systemera Dev team, While sliding down ramps, so the player does get the slide animation, sometimes this animation won't ever go away unless you 'jump'. This means you get a glitched player animation, which can be pretty frustrating. Amazing game so far! Am enjoying it pleasantly.
  5. I think that players should be able to make mods, just like in other popular games. For instance, maybe a mod like "Liquid Space" that basically adds liquids to the game... idk just a thought. It would publicize and progress the game really quickly. Thank you!

    Equipment for Player?

I just thought it would be cool if you added some kind of way to add special equipment to your astronaut which would give different perks like climbing gear would help you climb up terrain, jetpack would help you jump highter, etc. Would this take away the whole terrain tool purpose or would this be really cool?

    other player?

I found a backpack from an orange astroneer. Is it dropped from another real player who suffocated or is it just randomly generated? 2017-02-20 21-33-38.mp4
  8. Vehicles are pretty much manageable, I don't care if they get changed or not as far as they drive. They'll be doable and can be looked at sometime in beta stage for refining. A good change soon would be to change the side the player exits the vehicle, to well.. the side, not the front as it is currently. This can be problematic especially when using the shuttle/spaceship, as the player can get trapped exiting the front and get stuck between the vehicle and the Vehicle Bay.
  9. Custom music track idea was going around for a bit on this forum. However here's my take on it. How about a custom folder, where I can just place my music tracks I want in the game and they'll randomly pop up along with the original game's soundtrack. That way if I add a lot of ambience tracks, the game will be less stale while exploring. I'll never know what next track will be played. Belive me, doing the same things over and over can be grating. Some variety would be nice to beat up the monotony. However to make it more natural when the music is transitioning, maybe the game will automatically fade in or fade out these tracks. It's a very atospheric game and the best we can do is to make it immersive. This is the simplest solution for custom music. But maybe somebody will want to customize it a little more. For example, assigning certain ambients to certain planet types. I might hear more surreal tracks on Exotic planets and a bit unsettling ones on Radiated planets. If your friends will play on your save, they'll have their own music tracks. Tell me what do you think about that.
  10. Hello, This is my first post. I found astroneer through the steam queue while I was looking to access my reward trading cards for that day. I immediately fell in love with the cutesy/toy playdough in space aspect of it, and the way you can go off plantes. And the "survival" "no oxigen unless you place lifelines" element just made it look better. As it's early access, I understand it's not realy useful to do freature request in terms of gameplay, the vision of the game has still to be truely realized. But I would however want to make a suggestion regarding The most annoying thing (besides of the obvious bugs, multiplayer glitch vehicles), are the way you can lose your death location beacons , other beacons and vehicles in caves (after you die). The beacons don't show through walls and have a limited location of visibility. I do find this compelling, because I understand when you would see them all across the world, you're just homing in to the location and you lose some of the "exploration" narrative. if your truck is visible by waypoint throughout the world on the exact location, you just dig yourself to it and some adventuring is lost. What I do propose in this matter is - and I hope this stays within the philosophy of the game - - give the ability to color beacons. (so their icon will display red or green etc). THis way we can determine important locations by abstraction (color). - allow us to launch satelites in orbit. These satelites will reveal all the beacons in their hemisphere. The limitation is, you can only see colored dots (or vehicle icons) on a horizontal surface. (you stil have to dig and look how deep they exactly are). At least you'll be able to find your lost car again. Perhaps it's even a good idea that you also have to enable your car to be tracked by a GPS item ?
  11. Just started playing yesterday. Brilliant game. Gave me a very similar feeling to what I got when i started playing minecraft in its Alpha. Anyways I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but maybe it would be cool to be able to upgrade/add better functional modules to the player(maybe on the suit or the backpack). Some examples could be something like a jetpack which uses hydrazine fuel from your inventory. Or maybe some sort of a tiny drone which hovers above you when activated and can do things like transfer excess items back to base or something. Maybe it could give us a better backpack to expand inventory space or attachments to your suit to give better mobility and many other useful enhancements. Im not sure how challenging these are to execute. It just sounded neat in my head so I thought I'd share.

  13. There is a bit of a content vacuum occurring, once you have built up the required items for your base the game stagnates very quickly which will cause an issue for a continued playerbase. To prevent this I suggest allowing players to develop their own features and then having the dev team select features to add into the game. The advantage of this is that it lets players develop ideas they want and get a shot at having them implemented , it also reduces the work load of the dev team allowing them to focus on stability rather than features.

  16. Mouse/keyboard? Controller? Mouse/keyboard Steam? Xbox? Steam What were you doing leading up to this bug? digging holes and driving around. The first time, I accidentally drove into one of these holes, the rover flipped over, auto-ejected my player, and rolled on top of him. The player was then forced through the geometry, floated around a bit, and eventually clipped through the wall of a cavern. After clipping back into the level's geometry, the player landed, and sustained falling damage. Any steps that we can take to reproduce the bug on our end is appreciated. Yes, I can reproduce. Just dig a hole, and try to maneuver the rover to automatically eject you (ie. flip it over) and land on top of you. Being in a hole helps this process, and the constricted area forces the rover to land on top of the player. Then the player is pushed through the geometry. After being pushed through the geometry, the player floats about a little bit (seemingly randomly, all directions). Eventually, the player falls through a cavern wall, and typically dies due to the length of fall. Once I did land in a cave directly underneath my player, and only sustained moderate fall damage, but it did not kill the player.
