  1. Summary: I left a multiplayer game my gf hosted while orbiting Vesania in a large shuttle. When I came back in, I respawned back in Sylva and have been unable to retrieve my shuttle since. I first encountered this bug in 1.0.13, but it is still present. Description: I was orbitting Vesania ready to land with a large shuttle, but I didn't have any landing options (a different bug). To try and remedy this, I left the game and rejoined. Unfortunately, I was respawned back in Sylva and had to make another shuttle to get back to Vesania, where my large shuttle was still in orbit, and now unmanned. I tried to make a slope that could go high enough to interact with the shuttle, hoping to just grab it and bring it back, but it doesn't allow me to grab it. My girlfriend and I had a lot of resources in that shuttle, and losing them has kept us from coming back to this game. We encountered this bug a little over a month ago in 1.0.13 just before 1.0.15 was released. However I just tried to retrieve the shuttle in 1.1 and it is still an issue. The Specs below are of the computer my girlfriend (the game host) was using when I played the game, and also the computer I used to test if the issue was still present in 1.1. I don't have the computer I was using at the time of incident nearby, but I can provide its specs if you guys deem it necessary to replicate. Platform: Steam / XBox One / Windows 10 Store Version / Build Number: 1.1 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-Core Processor GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 RAM: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16 GB DDR4-3200 Drive: Samsung - 960 EVO 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive

    Better orbit system

Right now, when orbiting in the game, you go in a fixed direction above the equator of the planet. Now this works fine and allows you to land pretty much anywhere, but it could honestly be a little better. What I propose is adding a way to control the direction you're orbiting, so you can basically turn the rocket. This would allow you to reach some places easier (especially the poles) and you might not have to wait as long to wait for your base to come into view. Another nice thing would be allowing an option to only show landing pad bubbles - that way if you settled near a natural landing bubble you don't need to worry about clicking the wrong bubble and not landing at your base.
  3. I was working on my base, merging resources and storage containers when suddenly I was shot straight up into the sky - basically orbit - of the planet. It was the same view basically you get right before landing. You can see everything around the planet... then I basically crashed landed onto the planet and died. Not a cool bug.
  4. Hello community, I have a little or big suggestion for a "Orbital Station" that you can build on a big shuttle an if you launch it, it uncouple it from the shuttle and it get like a Space Station that you can land on or couple on it (like the space station on the main menu) and you can go into it and make there some warehousing and you can build there a Transport Shuttle (like an big shuttle but you cant place a shuttle seat on it but control it with a controll panel and i would think about it that it hast a "follow mode" that it follow all your steps) what you can place some medium storages and send it to other planets or space stations. Costs: Space Station: 2 Titanium alloy 4 plastic 2 Medium Solar Panels (just to make it something realistic for energy) Transport Shuttle: Little Transport Shuttle(2 double for a big storage): 1 Titanium alloy 2 Plastic + rocket propulsion Medium Transport Shuttle(5 double storages also 2 big storages and 1 extra medium storage have place there) : 2 Titanium alloy 4 Plastic +rocket propulsion Big Transport Shuttle(8 or 10 double storages also 4/5 big storages) 5 Titanium alloy 6 Plastic (rocket propulsion is allready build in) Attention: THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION OR JUST FANTASY IDK Many thanks your Astroneer Fan Rook
  5. When I was exploring, my whole screen flashed blue for a few seconds. When it cleared, I realised that another planet had, in its orbit, collided and passed through the one I was on. The planets having their own orbit is one of the standout features I think, but they'll have to be modified slightly in order to prevent this
  6. Summary: There is no any UI or mouse over planet selection in space. Description: I make small shuttle, get in and liftoff. After second I at orbit with blue region at homeplanet (with help window - RB/ LB launch). I press RB/LB - and go to solar system screen - there is no any UI available to select planet. No any response of any keys. Just fly at orbit and you only can save and exit from game. There is no any available action. I try to get at mouse over any planet, but useless. Just look at screen. Version / Build Number: 0.10.2 Specifications: OS: Windows 7 Pro x64 CPU: Intel i5 2800GHz GPU: GTX 760 RAM: 8Gb Drive: 2 Tb
  7. Hello! I have some small ideas for the game that are really cool. 1. Wind Turbines should be at full capacity during a storm. Seems illogical to me to not have any wind during a storm.. right? 2. Interstellar travel. travel to other stars, discover new types of planets and you will be able to choose your star with.. 3. The Observatory you could build an observatory to observe other solar systems, and gain knowledge about them so how do we use the knowledge about other solar systems??.. 4. The Spaceship (idk find a cool name) When building it, it will be placed in orbit of your current planet, and when you wish to go to another solar system, go on to the spaceship and choose your observed solar system. (much like the shuttle but with the observatory) you can always go back if you wish. 5. Add Types of Sun Add red giants, add white dwarfs, add all the stars you could ever know. 6. Add Space Stations It will be nice to add space stations and observe other planets of the current solar system. and find out diffirent things about that planet! (Hostility, Storms , Minerals , and other stuff such as....) 7. Soil Density this will get annoying on some planets, the soil could be denser, harder to mine, you get more soil, but you mine slower. 8. Space Elevator it could be cool to build a space elevator to space stations. and could be a must for the spaceship. 9. Asteroid Belts and Comets. There should be asteroid belts with asteroids (duuh) with different minerals, colors, and density. Comets could be rare, temporary , with juicy, rare minerals. 10. Add Large Solars and Winds

    Satellites

Anyone think this is a good idea? A satellite launched from a platform, into space, and orbits the current planet, and has a camera that can be accessed from the surface, to make time lapses and stuff. I think it would be a nice touch.

    Time DIlation

I would greatly enjoy a small amount of realism in the form of Time Dilation Phenomena in this game. I would adore it if planet-side time was increased in speed while you are in space, compared to the time you experience in your shuttle or off-world somewhere else. Not only would it be that added bit of nerdy physics, but it would enhance the game too if you had to account for all your bases on different worlds experiencing time at different comparitive speeds. Thank you <3
  10. Playing Astroneer regularly made me realize some glitches that happen quite often: While in multiplayer only the host can easily drive land vehicles, without having the danger of sending it to unwanted locations. When my friends (I am the host) enter the quad, sometimes it moves only one of the sections (the one where the character is seated) and the other(s) stay still. We figured out that the only way for the driver to get out of the car safely is by bringing the sections together, as if the vehicle is not being used, and then pressing TAB. But twice mistakes were made, and the driver tried to exit the car while the section with the seat on it was far from the rest of the vehicle. Now is when the problem comes in... When they did that the car suddenly was put on orbit and the driver dropped from the sky. Here is the image:

Large Rover train stuck in orbit.

I created a 3 rover train on Barren and needed to get some supplies from Terran. So I went back got them and launched back to barren, however I couldn't find my rover train I figured it was a rendering issue and waiting a bit but still couldn't find them. Until I happened to look up. Not sure what to do at this point

    Gravity?

Anyone else have several rovers in orbit?

    Floating Rover

Sometimes when I drive my Rover around, it will start floating out of no where, and currently I am stuck in orbit.

    Seasons?

Since Terran, and I believe all of the planets, spins on its axis perpendicular to its companion star, why then do we have seasons? Without the variability of thermal mixing of disharmonious air currents, due to an off-kilter axis, seasons don't occur. Air currents or jet streams tend to be uniform for their particular latitude with only minor disturbances between bands. But temperature variations shouldn't vary considerably. Jupiter is an extreme example as its atmosphere is very thick without land masses to keep them in check. I'm hoping someone has some astro-meteorological science facts to offer on way or the other.
  15. So I was in my spaceship orbiting Barren when all of a sudden one of the other planets got so close to it the literally merged into each other. Thankfully steam allows me to take photos in-game so here is a picture of the bug in action. This isn't game breaking but I'll report this anyway.
  16. I was on the moon with my friend (he was host). I launched Shuttle to get into orbit. From there I hit the orange button to switch to solar system view but instead the shuttle fired its thrusters burning fuel, moved "somehow" (camera angle changed) and I was in orbit view again. But now I couldn't even pick a landing area because they were not highlighted. All I could do was to hit the "thrust-button" again which led to the same behaviour. Finally I had no more fuel and was stuck in space. Platform: Steam - Multiplayer Version: 119
  17. I'm sure to post more ideas but these are the yuge, bigly, most impressive ideas to improve orbiting that anyone could ever make. 1. If there was a way to speed up time while orbiting. Even just 2x would make transfer to the Exotic planet more bearable. 2. Space station. Intermediary point in the solar system to improve chances of making a one-shot to your desired location. Likewise, easy to reach from everywhere. Perhaps this could serve as a Galactic Economy hub and storage/trading/ship customization? 3. The Orbital Map itself, and the camera in orbit could withstand a rework. The camera always needs to be panned after planetary transfer, instead of automatically focusing on the planet's surface and landing spots. *edit - I play on Xbox, use standard wireless controllers
  18. I launch a spaceship from the starting home planet and eventually landed on the exotic planet, now when I go into orbit, my home planet is missing. I see the beacons around where the planet should be, but I have no option to land on it. I've restarted the game and PC several times and still have the issue. Sometimes I can see the Arid planet but that is all. Hopefully the exotic planet has fuel to get me back! I'm playing the game on a Windows 10 PC through Steam, using mouse and keyboard.

Ability to launch satellites into orbit.

I was thinking it would be a neat idea to be able to launch satellites into orbit, giving you the ability to see your location in some form, be it a map, hud, or even a rudimentary GPS for coordinates.

    Trucks/Rovers in orbit

I left Barron to explore Radiated for the first time in a Spaceship. I just looked around for a while then headed back, never even got out of the ship. When I got back, all of my land-based vehicles were not at my base anymore, and if their beacons are to be trusted, they are now in orbit around Barron. There was a total of four vehicles. There was a tuck an rover linked together, and another truck and rover by themselves.
  21. Hi, i got additional orbitters, a truck including attachments and a rover with a second rover behind. I see them floating in orbit. I even see them from my moon. I learned to not place them at a vehicle bay as if i land with a spaceship and there's something in the way it might fly away or fall through planet. If added power access points and attach all vehicles there which looks like it solves the problem for now. P.S.: Windows 10 + Steam

    Orbiting the CoreBase

I built a base at the core of barren. I think it looks pretty cool.

    Planetary orbits

Looked up for once and discovered odd behaviour of the planets orbiting the one I'm on. For starters I have planets orbiting in different directions, both clockwise and counter-clockwise. Ok, it's a game so I can accept that. The most odd behaviour is planets that rise, get to a certain height in the sky (say 12 o'clock overhead) and then start to move backwards in the direction they first rose.

    Beacon's in Space

I play on gaming PC through steam using keyboard and mouse I've noticed on most of my saves i end up with a cluster of markers hovering in space that i can see as i move between planets, at first i figured it was the station but recently noticed it seems to match up to the markers present on and around my base on planet terran, not sure when they appeared but are there when i first take off from the planet.
  25. An idea for the landing spheres as viewed from orbit: The landing spheres tend to pile up when you have multiple vehicle bays, habitat modules in addition to the original landing area, making it difficult to choose the correct one. Areas that already have a vehicle in the bay or landing area could be colored red indicating they are obstructed and one should not attempt to land or risk a collision. Colors could also be used to distinguish a vehicle bay from a standalone area (green perhaps). If you land on another vehicle, there can be a penalty like a damaged or destroyed truck/spaceship, hydrazine leaks out, etc.
