  1. Hi, I was using a nvidia 740 for about a year and was getting around 15 fps. I now updated my card to Nvidia 1060 6gb and get 27 fps. There is obviously something not right in Denmark. Are you going to be optimizing the game soon? thx. Also every 3 seconds or so the game freezes for a tenth of a second. I guess you can say a lag glitch. This, in my opinion should be a priority for your company to fix. It is quite bothersome. I also noticed that the more platforms and other items are created that the glitch gets worse. So ,something with the rendering (a buffering issue) ?of all the elements gets worse as the created items becomes more in number. I dont know what would cause that.
  2. So hello everyone! My name is Sebastian and I am a Game developer with almost 4 years of experience today. I just bought the Astroneer game and I enjoy it really much. I really like the idea of System era making it possible for the community to come up with suggestion on the game and what to improve. So mostly what I have seen is people wanting to expand the game and keep adding more stuff to it. To that i say No! I am a game developer myself as mentioned above and I do know the feeling of having a game that people enjoy. It makes you want to add more too it etc... But... This game does not need to have more stuff added to it at its current state. IT NEED OPTIMIZATION. As boring as optimization sounds it is one of the prio 1 things to think about making a game. I have seen people saying that they reach a very low FPS etc even if they have a beefy setup. Why? Well, because the game is poorly optimized at its current state. I do know that it is pre Alpha and it is in very early development. But guys! A game that has alot of features but is laggy as hell is not going to work at the end. Starting to work on the optimization part and fixing for example the multiplayer part, crashes, low fps drops etc will be alot easier than it is after adding 100+ more features to the game. I think I got my subject all clear... Please System era, prio the optimization/bugs and then start to add more cool features to this awesome game. Thanks!
  3. I have played this game for 40+ hours solo and have had no complaints. I truly love the game and I encouraged my friends to try it out. Being on Xbox I wasn't expecting much from the game in the multiplayer aspect, but I will say (though it is pre-alpha) if it wants to do well in the future please fix the multiplayer lag. I cannnot stress this enough and would love to see this game do well. Keep up the good work.
  4. I have been playing with friends for a good couple hours now... But when even playing alone the game runs like crap on the xbox one when you get even a 6 mod base in place... Just stating an opinion But optimization on the one is a must
  5. What seems to be dropping my fps is structures and rendering I have been hearing tethers and buildings cause lower fps obviously THEY DO but I believe rendering is the issue . So I walked around the entire planet pretty much and it doesn't remove non-viewable items even if not in render distance causing low fps which is not fixed when restarted or render distance changed. My fps got lower and lower as i explored more. I explored the map with tethers. So I can understand why people might think tethers are causing this. I noticed that structures and animated wind turbines and all types of structures in large amounts lower your fps a good deal as well I did 2 Tests on different worlds but the same planets I placed 50 tethers in a small radius and my frames dropped maybe 3fps did not render chunks I placed a bunch of random buildings and Found they do make fps drop by about 10 I placed 50 maxed tethers going north and my frames dropped significantly it rendered many new chunks I walked the same length as the 50 tethers on a new world and there was no difference in fps from the tether length test Not the most in depth test but I believe its 90% rendering issues and maybe 10% structures.Obviously the game isn't optimized and that would help Specs GTX 1060 6GB MSI GAMING OC to 1705 mhz I5 6600k 4.3 OC Unparked Here are some odd fixes that sometimes Improve FPS Right click astroneer>properties>set launch options -nosound works for like 70% of people in improving framerates but you will play with no sound. Playback devices select your speakers change down to 44100 CD I read somewhere that it helps if it doesn't turn it back up to 48000 etc
