While playing the Steam version of the game with keyboard and mouse, there will be fraction of a second lag-spikes, and if you were pressing any button during this time on mouse or keyboard, it will keep going even after you let go until you click it again. It's a very small glitch, but it's just gotten me killed, so I felt the need to report it. It happens to me most often while I am digging.

This may sound stupid for some people but I come from FPS games and it really feels awkard to move the camera around with the acceleration (the camera does not move instantly with the mouse like it does on a FPS game). I really think this ruins a bit the movement experience. I know this is really easy to fix so it would be awesome if you could provide an extra option to disable this on menu or either removing the acceleration completelly. Related to this is the item acceleration when moving stuff from anywhere to anywhere (i.e. backpack to storage on your base). I know that an inventory system update is planned so I just wanted to suggest that if drag and drop is not going to be changed at least remove the acceleration so the items move instantly with the mouse so you can perform faster and smoother operations. I have been developing some personal projects with Unity for 3 years now, accelerations may seem to be good for smoothing but for some things like user input it just hinders the user experience. As always thank you for your attention

When I launch the game, I can't move camera with the mouse unless I put the game window in the background and get back to it. The cursor was the Windows one and not the Astroneer one. Occured on Steam.

I have a multi-monitor system, that is there are three (3) monitors (#1 2560 w x 1440 h, #2 & #3 1080 w x 1920 h) connected to my Windows system and Windows is set to extended mode so it sees them as one contiguous monitor (4720 w x 1922 h) set in a [2][1][3] arrangement . The problem is that, when playing your game full screen, the mouse IS NOT constrained to the game window that is being displayed full screen on the main/center monitor (#1 2560 w x 1440 h) and can move off of that monitor onto either of the two (2) side monitors. If this happens and a mouse button is clicked, whatever is under the mouse at that time becomes the 'Active Window' or application which jumps me out of your game and/or breaks, disrupts, and/or interferes the current action I'm performing in game (e.g. Terra forming). Sometime s when this happens the Terra forming tool locks into whatever state it is in, even after the mouse button is released, and just keeps on Terra forming. Very irritating! As a Unity3D Indie developer I know that it is possible to lock the mouse cursor within the game window so that this issue does not occur. I also see allot of hits in Google concerning this issue with Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) game development. Though I have no experience with UE4 development it appears that this is something you can and should implement within your game. ThanX - DJ

Input device: Keyboard & Mouse Platform: Steam How i achieve this bug? when i'm connected to my friend and i want to travel to another planet, then my space ship (shuttle) start glitching, for example i see just myself falling to space or just hydrazine fuel. After reaching orbit of planet everythings go fine and i can play normal as before leave my origin planet sometimes when i'm traveling through space to another planet and have this gliching travel, my game just close without any bug report or crash report window. it's littlebit flustrating when you have full large shuttle loaded with large rovers etc and you lost everything. After connecting again, ship is lost, just my inventory stay as before crash.

Using mouse & keyboard on Windows 10 (XBOX app) and the mouse no longer locks to the game window during play. The mouse moves the camera on movement after loading into the save, but can be stopped by just right clicking once. In addition the windows cursor does not hide, and the in game cursors do not show up on backpack/in-game screens. Started playing on Creative update without this issue, which started after winter update. Alt+Enter, window / window-full screen setting does fix issue. Tried re-installing game, re-installing XBOX app. Tried modifying the game settings ini for forcing the full screen settings to 0 instead of 1. Unplugged down to one monitor, reboot, etc also does not fix issue. Confirmed I do not have any controllers connected. Happens on old save and starting new saves as well.

I've tried the PS4 version and OMG the joypad is hard compared to keyboard and mouse. So I tried a keyboard and mouse on the PS4, the keyboard works just fine, but the mouse does nothing. Is there something I need to do to enable it? TIA Daz.

I decided to take my Large Rover(with Large Rover Seat) to a nearby mountain as I needed some malachite. Once I arrived, I hopped out of my rover seat and began searching for the resource. After a few minutes, I turned around to see that the HUD prompt to enter the Large Rover seat was still on my screen. I had right-clicked to begin moving my camera, and I hadn't released it yet, so the game still thought my mouse was on the rover seat. I pressed F without letting go of right-click, and I immediately was sitting in the seat, even though I had been on the other side of the mountain. I have just tested this, and it is easy to replicate. I tested it on a Large Rover Seat, a Rover Seat, a Tractor, and a Large Shuttle; They all worked. I do know that this doesn't work with the Shelter, and I haven't tested the Field Shelter. i have included screenshots below. While this bug can be somewhat useful to players, and it isn't detrimental to gameplay, I am certain that this isn't intended to happen. Happy Bug Fixing!

I’d really like to see keyboard and mouse become a feature in astroneer, is this something system era would be able to incorporate, I know a lot of people would find this useful and considering the type of game it is it would have no impact on other player but greatly increase the amount of enjoyment to be had out of the game

Summary: Mouse cursor not showing up at all in in-game menu and only partially in general. Description: Pretty self explanatory, I cant see what I'm doing in the menus like backpacks and such. When panning around I have a small circle but no dot in the middle. The circle disappears the moment I hover over an object or try to use a menu. This is making it REALLY tedious to play. I have tried connecting a Steam controller and a Playstation 4 controller with no results. I will try to show what it looks like with some attached images but it can be hard to tell because, well.. you can't see it! Platform: Steam Version / Build Number: 1.0.4.0 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 Pro CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700X CPU @ 3.60Ghz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 RAM: 16GB Drive: WD Black 4 Tb

Image has circle around what is currently my mouse cursor. unable to get a good screen shot of planet select as the cursor is nearly impossible to find to start with. I'm on xbox one, i have used 1.0.7, and have re-checked. The keyboard works (although, the controls are unknown to me [no settings list of keys] and i can't walk with wasd or arrows) but the mouse doesn't. Maybe a quick-fix, but most likely not.

I’ve posted this elsewhere but I’d like to know how many other Xbox players would benefit from having keyboard and mouse as an input option. It makes shaping the terrain a lot more controllable and just much easier to do everything. It’s seams astroneer was designed to use said but for obvious reasons it hasn’t been included so far. I know there are other issues concerning the game straight after realease but I for sure would love this to become a feature, thoughts anyone?

I have a multi monitor system and, when playing full screen on the main monitor, the mouse moves off the monitor onto the other monitors and looses focus on the game window when clicked. Please lock/constrain the mouse to the game window only.

On 15th November we got an Xbox update with the Mouse and Keyboard support and Astroneer would be played well better with this support than with an Controller. The controls with an Controller aren't bad but with a Keyboard and Mouse it would be more comfortable. Are you guys working on it to bring it to Astroneer?

By mouse smoothing I mean that the camera does not follow the mouse input directly. Instead, the camera first accelerates and then decelerates to arrive at the angle of the mouse input. This behaviour disengages you from the game, prohibits muscle memory for your mouse movements and causes fatigue because of constant readjustments while the camera is moving. The controls otherwise remind me of World of Warcraft: left-click interacts with stuff and right-click moves the camera, that's great. But the indirect mouse implementation unfortunately makes this game feel less AAA-PC and more like a cheap console port. I tried altering a few AxisMappings in the GameUserSettings.ini but to no avail. There are also two other topics on this forum about this but with no helpful input or response. I really, really want to play and enjoy this game, but inputs like these usually make me refund a game through steam instantly.

I play the game on my own pc. After installing the 0.9.2.0 update; the game screen does not move when I press and hold down the right mouse button to look around inside the game. When this is the case, I can not play the game comfortably and fast. Is there a solution to this error ?

While playing on Desktop PC, I am unable to use mouselook (hold right click to pan view). This makes traveling up or down in vehicle troublesome. I can however use mouselook when I play on Laptop PC. I scoured every configuration setting. Uninstalled, reinstalled. Compared files between both PCs. Made sure necessary software/hardware were updated. All not working. Any ideas?

Hi, I tried out the tutorial. The mouse pointer circle didn't show at all at 1st. I use a dual screen and have to press Win+Shift+Right to get the game on the correct window. I then moved the mouse off game onto the 2nd monitor and clicked once, then back onto the game and it seemed to start working as it should. But the pointer only worked on land surfaces. If I hovered over my back-pack or blueprint menu or any other interface the mouse pointer would stop showing. I had to use Z and X to switch between blueprint types. When I launched the ship at the end of the tutorial I had to use the above method of clicking out of the game, to see where the mouse pointer was so I could click the Lift-off button. I have not tried out the main game yet to see if it also happens there. (I'm going to bed now - got work in the morning)

when you are on the game, you put your mouse over an object and click it, right? But with this bug, you do not get the blue ring like normal and you cannot select things either. Plz fix this devs.
