  1. Hi there! (Warning: Broken English below. So i added images that are self-explanatory... I guess) As you can see here, I already got all probes scanned, already got the skin, so... Can't complete this mission! And in the same save, I unlocked all portals, cores and stuff, but then, when the Mission Compass update came, when I first loaded the game, it auto-completed all related missions to them (except this "Through the Looking Glass", which is a triggered action, I believe) I think the solution for this is: If (when this mission appears): it should check if at least one of the probes was already scanned. then if (at least one of the probes was already scanned) Complete it. Hope this helps!

Before you judge I want to say I love the new update with the compass, missions and large wind turbines and solar panels, but me and my friends think that some of those rewards make the game too easy. I am not saying they should be removed, but let me tell you this: All our playthroughs before the update went something like this: - Land on Sylva, research items, gather resources for a small space shuttle and gather some zinc for batteries later (1 - 2 hours) - Travel to Vesania for titanite and lithium (for medium batteries), make batteries and collect resources for later (1 - 2 hours) - Next Planet is Calidor for wolframite for things like the chemistry lab. Here we usually get the medium Shuttle and travel with more resources (about 1 hour) - Glacio is next because of iron. We usually end up staying here the longest because we mostly have all the resources we need and can work on RTGs (4+ hours) - After all that we travel to every planet and power the structures on there to finish the planets The reason to why we spend so much time on some of those planets is because we mostly have to wait for power or just think about what we should do next. Because of the rewards from most of the missions we ended up spending half or less of the time on one planet than before. I mean on Vesania we got a large wind turbine and large solar panel thrown at us just for gathering lithium and printing a medium battery. From this point on we almost never had to wait for power anymore. I have nothing against the QT-RTGs. Those are pretty neat, but they also kinda just get thrown at you. Same goes for some of the schematics. I rather have to work for something hard to get it than just some "space god" sending me stuff for gathering 3 pieces of lithium. Because when I work for something hard to get it it feels more rewarding than just getting it gifted for something really easy. What I'm trying to say is that most of the missions give you rewards that feel too overpowered. At least for me and my friends. Now what do me and my friends really want? I do understand that those rewards help beginners a lot and make it easier for them to understand the game, but I rather have the option to disable those missions or have like a difficulty setting which then adjusts the rewards of the missions. I could imagine it being like this: Beginner - Rewards are the same as how they are now Normal - Rewards make the game a bit less easier Veteran - Rewards basically only consist of bytes and rarely include small things like QT-RTGs I don't need help - Missions, but no rewards or just rewards consisting of a few bytes (just to have like a guide you can follow) I know what I'm doing - No Missions, No rewards Those difficulty settings don't have to only influence missions and their rewards. They could also cause other stuff to get harder or easier too (more or less sandstorms on some planets for when they get added -wink-) I know we could just not use the mission log, but we still get those missions and it also kind of feels weird to not do something a game gives you. That is why I rather have a setting limiting those rewards to add an extra challenge maybe.
  3. Just what the title says. What are YOU looking for in the story/narrative/missions of Astroneer? I'm thinking the "Go here/Find this" style missions will be there. The "Mine 'x' amount of (mineral/ore)" as well. Those are old standbys. But what could be added that would be something completely different? Maybe tracking down another Astroneer? I know THATS cliche as well but I always liked the chase. So yeah. Spill your brain here! I'm curious about what the community wants.
  4. Hello! An addition that I would like to see is missions/quests. As of now, there is not much of a goal for you to accomplish. Having quests would be nice, because it gives you things to strive for. Some examples of quests could be: Travel to the center of a planet, travel to a different planet, collect 3 coal, etc. These missions could, but do not have to, have rewards. Having rewards would make the user want to do the goals more, however without rewards, it would make the game more challenging, and possibly more fun than with rewards. Thank you for reading!
  5. I know that it is a pre-alpha game but it would be nice if they added some small mission or objective for players who have already developed their base to 100%. A serious example to find a satellite stranded and repair it and throw it into space .
  6. My idea is give the players an objective to work towards and a reason to explore more areas by having missions. These could be weekly, generated from a mission hub that you could build on your base. There could also be locations or other characters in the world that give you missions when you find them. Mission rewards could be something like unique color schemes for vehicles, new character outfits, special items, or upgrades to air or battery capacity. Rewards could also be currency used to buy these items at a store you could build on your base. Harder missons that give better rewards are further away and may be on other planets. Mission examples: Bring X resources to marked location. Target would be at one of the landing locations X distance from players 1st base. At the target location would be a trade platform you would use to send resources. Bring research pods to Bob the mad scientist (a research platform X distance from players base) He may or may not give you something usefull (small chance for rare rewards, you may get nothing). Get a beacon to a certain depth or height. Bring power or parts to fix a stranded astroneers lander or rover.
