  1. Whenever me or my friend enter a vehicle we encounter a very large lag spike, this also happens with the exo habitat and the shuttles. Another source of lag that happens rarely is when me and my friend are far away from each other the game will freeze for a few seconds. Thanks, Barnburner.

  3. I think a way of enabling or disabling if it auto saves when getting into a vehicle. Personally its almost unplayable when playing with friends due to 5 second screen freeze i get every time a friend gets in and out of a vehicle. To have more ways of saving if the feature is disabled could be a timed base autosave the game does and have it be able to be changed to lets say 5, 10, 15 ,30 minutes periods.

  5. Mining or not saving periodically(every 20 minutes) then moving to a save vehicle causes game to crash. When dropping items on a planet ( such as a medium storage) items randomly fall through the surface; sometimes these can be found again, sometimes not. When you have build more than 3 platforms system begins to lag. Also note that storms every couple of minutes get annoying fast. Sometimes theyre so frequent it hampers gameplay.

Summary: 0.10.2.0 – Steam – Sky and Planets extremely lagging Description: Critical Bug After playing many days, building a big base and exploring many caves with a huge tether network on terran the sky and the planets don't almost move. Time seems to freeze. At sunset I took the large rover truck for a scrap tour. In a distance of my base the truck had no energy left (2x medium batteries and 2x medium solars which normaly covers the consumption). Wondering why, I realized it was still night though I was on tour for a while. The sky and the planets moved extremely slow. There was no chance getting back to my base due to the lack of energy. I knew this "sky freeze" before but I thought it was just an optical bug like the broken planet bug. No, time also goes on extremely slow making energy management worse. Though the rest of the game runs at normal speed this is why i call it a critical bug like the vehicle glitch and the tether network lags. Btw: Though having no energy left, the truck still giving energy to my backpack. Really strange. Summary: 0.9.2 - Steam - Tethers do huge lags Description: Being the host of a multiplayer session, after 9 hours on the same planet, every single time one of my colleagues put a tether in the ground, my computer freezes for a second. Platform: Steam / XBox One / Windows 10 Store Version / Build Number: 0.9.2 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 CPU: Intel i7 GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 RAM: Corsair 2x16GB DDR3 Drive: HDD 4To ----------------------------------------------------------------------- So, as descripted above, every time a tether is put in the ground to continue the exploration, my computer's fps drop to 0-1. The problem is that the more we explore, the worst the problem becomes. Now it is totally unplayable for me in multi. It may be due to the fact that the game recalculate the whole oxygen network, as well as the whole lightning. I've read that the problem is the same for many users. My config is good for that king of game, I should stay around 100 fps. So it is not a material problem. This just has to be optimized. I have no advice on how to do that. You guys know better than me your job. Anyway, no hard feelings, we are aware it is an alpha. It is just a remark to keep in mind for future updates. Apart from that, we want you to know that it is a great game with a great concept. Except this frustration, we already had a lot of fun and I recommend this game to my friends. Keep going and stay positive !
  10. I Play Astroneer on my laptop and it's within the system specs limit as described on Steam. For some reason, my game is still very framey/laggy, but playable (i am using the dedicated AMD graphics instead of onboard Intel stuff). Specifically, On Exotic, the game lags so much that it's unplayable and i'm practically stuck there forever. What I feel (very very strongly), is that you need to give us an IMPROVED & DETAILED GRAPHICS SETTINGS option in the Game Settings menu such that we are able to tune each and every aspect of the Graphics Settings (just like every other game out there). This would be very much appreciated and I'm damn sure there are countless players who could benefit from this. P.S.: Without this feature, I would be finally regretting my purchase of astroneer ???
  11. Title pretty much says it. While in a cave, wind noise (assumed from a storm because it's the same wind noise associated with a surface storm) causes the game to lag substantially. Including frame rate drop, input lag, and terrain tool response.
  12. Hello all, Just wanted to point and see if anyone else is having the same issue. After playing for a couple weeks now, I have developed a sizable network of tethers leading to and from my home base. Ive noticed the more tethers I place the longer it takes for the game to catch up. The entire game freezes, and then after a 3 second pause the game catches up. At which point I have ran far enough away from the last tether, that I need to place another and the loop goes on from there. Any support or comments? Thanks, xXMotherGooseXx

Hi, just wondering what could be wrong...Three days ago bought astroneer on my Xbox 1, played it an awful lot in three days and now whenever I place a connected teather it freezes my game for about 5/10 seconds..? I’ve heared there’s been teather lag problems before, would be a shame if I’d have to start a new world.

    Tethers Causing FPS Drop

    Gaming Information : 1. Mouse / Keyboard 2. Steam Client 3. Placing tethers throughout the world Bug Description : After placing multiple tethers throughout the world the frame rate of the game will drop upon moving the tethers or placing new ones. This makes the game run absolutely horrible once you have build a decently sized base and have explored caves. I would pick up the tethers, but that also causes major lag and drops of frame rate to the point it's no use.   15. I have been using the Cross play with an xbox one and my Windows laptop. I have found that reducing the quality on my laptop helps the game run smoother (due to laptop limitations). The xbox one version also has a great deal of gameplay lag even when running the game from a connected SSD. Is there any way that options within the settings on the xbox one version of the game could be introduced to ruduce gameplay quality and help lose some of the lag?
  16. I am playing astroneer for a long time now, and i wait update after update that the lag get's fixed. I really like playing the game on my xbox, but i can't play with friends because of the lag. Maybe it's an idea you guys invest in a worldwide server for the current players. And when te 1.0 version launches in december , get more servers...
  17. I started playing astroneer with my friend and we both relised very quickly that the host will lag so much that it starts to not be playable with friends! Playing alone is fine. But I think I know the problem I think that all the chunks being loaded all go to the host. so 2+ people are loading chunks and all that chunk processing go to the host instead of the joined client. The joined player does not lag unless their are more than 3 people in the game playing 2 people the host lags bad but the joined person does not at all
  18. Has anyone else playing on Xbox One noticed that, besides Terran, this game has lag issues after a while? Also, Radiated was horrible from the beginning and I would get stuck on nothing just walking around.

  20. Astroneer is a stable game frame rate wise but when a friend joins you the server lags and the frame rate drops. If this could be fixed by the end of Q1 2018 that would be great.

    Me and some of of my friends play on our own server that I host and when my friend gets a certain distance away from me and begins to mine, my frame rate drops dramaticly and I begin to lag.
  22. Hello all, first of all, sorry for the book... Really good new base-building update, the potential for this game skyrocketed(no pun intended). I don't wanna be a downer here, but I don't know if it was the new base building update or a different one. Now I experience jitters most likely caused by poor rendering optimization in the game and unneeded clutter? I do realize the game is in alpha stages, but all the other updates I have played from the very beginning when the game first came out, I didn't have this issue(btw I haven't changed my pc throughout the years of playing astroneer)... With vsync off I get around 100 fps +(fps jumps around a lot which causes jitters.) I have also tried editing the engine settings in the astro folder, (that gets me around 200 to 300 fps +, sure, this is really good, but I still experience jitters when my fps *jumps around*) with vsync on I get obviously 60, but it jumps down to 58 randomly or even lower(possibly when it renders clutter) when it goes to 58 and immediately back to 60 or 61, I get a really quick lag spike, its annoying the heck outta me considering it happens almost every time it renders something. It's ruining the update for me :(, anybody know a fix? I got a gtx 1070 with an i5 core processor. it seems this is out of my control. possibly just gonna have to wait for a new bug fix for it? unless someone knows how to stabilize the fps in-game... Things Ive tried: - changing all graphics settings to low - turning off sound - tinkering in the game folder - running on windowed mode - running on fullscreen - creating a new save - deleting all my saves - reinstalling the game on steam - updating my drivers - adding Astroneer on the Nvidia control panel - resetting settings in-game - closing all unneeded applications - turning off steam fps counter - defraging my hard drive - verifying intregrity of game files... After doing all these things, I think its safe to say this is a game optimization issue, hope it is fixed soon... <3
  23. Hello there here's the bug me and my friend found: 1) The central Base generates quite infinite oxygen lines and after a bit, the amount becomes so insane that makes you lag. A LOT. (see screenshot) NB Possible solution while this gets fixed: replace the module that has the oxygen lines, at least this work for us. 2)My friend (he's the host because he has fiber) apparently after a random time, can interact with anything, basically constricting us to start a new world. first with the open seat, then basically with anything from his inventory to the resources on the modules, while I can interact perfectly with everything. 3) last but not least, plants don't blow up nor get down by gravity after a dynamite has blown up

    Xbox Co-Op Lag

    Me and a friend are playing co-op on the Xbox one not x or s When mining and after a 2-3 hours of game play together the frames will drop to 10 and below which makes the game almost unplayable i totally understand that we are behind in the fact that we don't have the latest console and the game is in game preview and i understand there will be lag until the game is optimized however is there a way maybe to fix this such as turning of captures or changing the world?
