  1. I would like to suggest some changes to the way vehicles handle in the game. I think a core issue with the vehicles is that they are too light and has almost no suspension. I find myself bouncing and getting stuck on the smallest of obstacles all the time, messing up the road i'm making or requires me to get off the vehicle and dig it out. I think it would be possible to fix this by making the vehicles overall heavier and and adding a suspension to it. In addition to this i think we also need more clearance from the ground to the vehicle. It may be easiest to make the hitbox on the underbelly of the vehicle smaller. And it would be nice to have a compass while driving 😄 What do you guys think about how the vehicles handle?

Ok, here's the issue: After the excavation update, the game is nice and all, but the driving, OMG, it's bad, it changes direction based on camera, and sometimes this leads to annoying driving issues, like the rover going to the oposite direciton I want, or trying to go to a hole or simply spinning out of control. Not only this, but the rover, even the larger one feels like driving a balloon, imprecise and very floaty(ish), even more when you attach another one on the back, it's very annoying, the game is very fun, until you have to deal with driving... what is a shame, because before this (let's call) tier, it's very fun, but using ANY rover is annoying. I think by using normal fixed direction on control, W= forward, S= Backwards, and so on should fix one of the issues, the other should be a little more wheigth and stability. (I'm sorry for the typing mistakes -.-')

    Small improvements

    Hello First time excuse for my bad English, but English is not my mother language. Therefore, I will also write "tabular", which is my issue. This is mainly user friendliness, comfort functions and from my point of view inconsistencies where I also like to contribute the same solution proposals with. Compass: I think it would be very helpful to have a compass when using a vehicle. For always getting off to find out in which direction one goes, is nevertheless quite annoying. (Maybe as a band at the top of the screen, as with so many other games.) Compass extension: It would be very helpful for orientation if the compass show POIs as a colored dot, so you know in which direction you must go. Because the previous markings can be seen very quickly simply no longer and then proceeds very easily. Since you can probably have very many POIs, it would probably be very useful if there could be a window where you can set which POIs you want to display in the compass. Tether: When you collect tethers back into the backpack, they always go to the first position, no matter whether there is a stack that is not full yet, or not. a new stack is always created. These can not be combined by hand unfortunately. Here it would be advisable to check the contents of the backpack, if there is not already a tether stack and fill this! Items in hand: I think it would be great if you could rotate objects you have in your hand. So I take the store here. If I have this in my hand, I do not see what on the backside. Besides, I'd also like to put the store up somewhere in other rotation. The same can be said of many other objects. Vehicles in the storm: Vehicles are very vulnerable in the storm and are happy to move. (Preferably in holes / crater) Here I would like to have a way to anchoring the vehicle. For example, claws extending into the ground. Drilling, or props like a truck crane Different bases: Sometimes you have several outposts, sometimes not so far apart, because one part is above ground, another is under ground, but has a new habitat. Now, however, one would not always want to build a new energy supply, if it would bring anything at all. Therefore it would be nice to have a possibility to have two bases in the power supply together. So connect the electricity networks. Unsupported / defective items: It would be very nice if there was a way to destroy Itmes. There are always items that you do not need anymore, or which are simply broken, as the energie items. So that they do not have to bury somewhere and they are still there, It would be great to dispose of such items. Research - Bubbels (Research Item): If one collects bubbels, it can be just under the earth a huge annoying action, To bring them to the surface for exploration. Also the ways underground are mostly not really short. For this I would like a kind of conveyor belt, which are built similar to the Tethers, Then connect and on which the bubbles are then docked and transported to the other end. That would be an immense relief, precisely because some tunnels are not really big or are built large. Refill - Bomb: This is the counterpart to the TNT. Just want to fill this bomb and not destroy it. This bomb is to be placed, for example, in holes and when you light them, Then a certain amount of ground is to be released in liquid form, which is physically correctly distributed as a liquid and then becomes solid. In this way one could close holes evenly and "straight" without using the deform tool. (In addition, one could make straight, even ground.) Thanks and regards Strike
  4. Why is this game still a complete fail after months? The team has had literal months to work on things and it feels like the game has regressed. Rover Handling I still cannot drive a rover without having it fly into the atmosphere and the time that I do get with the rover on the troposphere is spent trying to flip the rover over because its handling was implemented by a four year old. Crafting & Research Why can I no longer craft a tank or small battery on my backpack? Why was there no on screen notification saying that the way small batteries and tanks can be crafted has been changed? Does System Era know anything about game design? I can understand a lack of tutorials for pre alpha games but the communication of the games mechanics to the player is nonexistent. There at a minimum should be a visual menu that accompanies the tiers of research and what has and has not been researched in each tier. I have researched countless parts/rocks/plants and still cannot build a small tank or small battery. There was even a time on my current save (7/10/2017) that I could build small batteries and the ability has since been removed. The research system is disgustingly broken. The fact that I can get anything from a single compound to the research behind a habitat from research components is just flat out terrible game design. Spending half an hour excavating and bringing back a research part only for it to yield compound is nothing short of insulting. How come when I scroll through the vehicle bay options sometimes a large rover will show up even though I have not researched it? What can I do to actually get the large rover researched so it will show up in the vehicle bay every time and not just when the game bugs in my favor? Still cannot build a large rover/truck after hours of researching. Co-op How come when I join another host I can only see structures built on Terran? Structures built on literally every other terrestrial object (moons and other planets) can only be seen by the host. The cooperative tag should be removed from this game on the steam store because co-op in this game is disgraceful and simply cannot work if what is being built is invisible to me…how lame Review Maybe this game is a huge mess of physics and making changes is harder than I could ever imagine so not fixing things like the rover handling or seems in the map can be understood but structure visibility is another story. I do not know what could be so complex about making all structures visible for all players across the whole solar system. Is this something as simple as changing a visibility Boolean? What complex unsolvable algorithms could be behind something as simple as making a skin/texture visible to all the players? I know people are working on the game and it looks like System Era is a growing company but this game feels unchanged from its December release? Are the people working on the game too busy to finish it? What a pathetic display for game development industry as a hole. I apologize for my terrible attitude but my friends and I feel like we wasted our money on a half-baked game that will not see completion within any relevant time frame.

    Driving

    Hey everyone, I have played the game for about 5 hours now, what I have to say what a game, just fantastic so let's get to business. One of the things that most annoyed me was the driving system, maybe it wasn´t just me anyway I would like to see a normal driving system were doesn´t matter where your camera is pointing, if you press W your car willgo foward facing the direction of his own. I think I was clear enough if you have questions just ask Thanks for making this game see you soon.

Hey, guys, I just wanted to throw in a little comment about something of which I'm sure you're well aware, and that's that handling for the rovers could be better. If you haven't yet, I very warmly recommend playing around in the excellent Spintires for a picture of a game that implements heavy vehicle handling in offroad situations superbly well. Speaking for myself, my experience with Spintires has enormously improved how I build and configure rovers in Kerbal Space Program, so I think it might also help you guys out in designing a fun, enjoyable, and responsive driving experience. For example, rigid trailer connections and powered trailer wheels. And the way the wheels are configured. Yes, all wheel drive, but the back wheels should be fixed, with only the front wheels steering. And when you add trailers into the mix, trailer-specific behaviour (assuming powered trailer wheels) would be all wheels fixed forward.

    XBOX One controller handling

    first: the manual of the buttons is missing, after pushing "controller" in option menu I get the PC explanation. second: When pushing X-Button for mining-tool the fps decrease, and the controlling of the tool is very slow and complex. I saw the mining-tool working on PC version, here the the tool works exzellent. third: Where is the button for speed-running? I have only normal speed for running. On PC you can run very fast.
