Summary: 1.6.61.0 - Windows 10 Store - Wrecked stations multiplied Description: On Sylvas, as I approached a surface node in a rover, it seems that several wrecked space stations near the node spawned several times, overlaying on top of themselves. This created a massive FPS drop, using 106% of my graphics performance (per Windows game bar). Looking away restored FPS once a fair distance away. Unsure of possible solutions. I was using Mouse and Keyboard.     hi guy, in the new update i have fps drop. before the 1.0.4 update it was good but after it i have very bad fps drop.

    Tethers Causing FPS Drop

    Gaming Information : 1. Mouse / Keyboard 2. Steam Client 3. Placing tethers throughout the world Bug Description : After placing multiple tethers throughout the world the frame rate of the game will drop upon moving the tethers or placing new ones. This makes the game run absolutely horrible once you have build a decently sized base and have explored caves. I would pick up the tethers, but that also causes major lag and drops of frame rate to the point it's no use.   4. My existing game that we've been playing for 3 days, and have been to 3 planets, is now running very slow after this last update. We are on the planet exotic, and I think it is an fps drop. We started a new game and it's running fine. Is there any way to fix this issue?

  6. Hello everyone, I'm new here and quick read through the forum rules and even through the post i should have read before starting a new "Bug" topic. I searched about this "bug", but found it only on different platforms or other explanation... not sure but i saw that you have got merged topics so please merge this one if you know where it belongs to. I'm very excited to play this game and it makes a lot of fun. That is the reason why i'm here, because other games i would never touch again after such performance issues but this one i already felt in love with.... It's a pitty but very fast described: Xbox One extreme performance issue occurs in respect to the distance ( player to base distance) and size of the base (in my opinion). My Base is about 10 connections and 5 modules big so it should be possible to build even bigger bases!? But i cannot even walk around... extrem fps drop in my opinion and in this case unfortunately unplayable. I'm aware of, that it is not a finished product yet, and also that it's great work to get it even run on the xbox one. I saw the requirements for pc and wondered how it even works for the xbox so the performance issues are understandable. maybe you could deactivate some of the shiny animations running in the background. For example, that all nodes have "possible connections" attached and they're moving all the time in respect with your position. That's a nixe gimmick but could it be that if 10 connection nodes move in respect to your position, this causes the performance issues? (or only the drop in the ocean) This one could be deactivated, and only the focused node could print such a connection in respect to your position.... only ideas because i like the game style and concept.     Fps Issue

    Hello everyone. My system is: Rx 480 4gb i5 4440 16 gb ram Mostly I got 60 fps but at night I got like 45. And I think after building more buildings or after explasions that ll be much much lower. I know they are working on optimization but I'm saying is this optimazition issue must have priority. Thnaks.
  8. Hi there! I am having quite a bad FPS drop in Astroneer after the newest patch. Last patch it felt like the game was perfectly executed for me, with literally zero fps lag no matter what I have done. This last patch seems to have reverted closer to launch status with how hiccupp-y the game is, and how choppy it gets in waves. I notice that the game is forced to "catch up" to where I am after a great lag, and causes bad issues. When running, the terrain lags with loading of the "plants" and decor objects, and sometimes locks up...this has caused me to miss upcoming terrain (because my chartacter is actually still moving even though it is not rendered for me) and launch head first into a giant crater, plummeting to my doom. I have also noticed severe lag spikes when mining a large area quickly with the terrain brush. I create large craters using large swipes back and forth. This seems to cause quite a bit of lag when I free lots of resources at once. The game then catches up and is able to mine flawlessly without any FPS drop whatsoever. I run a quite beefy Oct core gaming 64 bit Windows 7 machine and here is my dxdiag output file. DxDiag.txt

These were all on terran unless stated. patch 0.2.111.0 When hooking up a train of rovers (in this case 3 with cabins on the ends and 1 big solar panel and 1 big windvane on the outer cars), performance gets .5 second hickups every 3 seconds I felt a clear performance drop from around 60 to 20 when at the same time I saw either the tundra planet very close, or a quarter slice of terran itself maybe (known bug) When you put a thether in the backpack by clicking on the dude, it dissapears Vehicals cannot drive on the moon (barren) bcs low grav.. Maybe intentional. But truck just bounces and saltos. Crane can be built without a vehical present. It then just sits there. You cant pick it up but you can bump it with terrain or a vehical. When smelter doesn't have enough free slots (max 5), it destroys your thing. I managed to 'lock' the trade platform. I had it filled up with 'natural'. I think I logged out while it was in the air. Result is I couldn't click the things in it and launch button was missing. You can see the tooltips for things on other planets flying in the sky of the planet you are on. Planets don't seem to orbit the sun, but sortof float around randomly instead. Maybe intentional. With a lot of changes to a planet and/or a lot of tethers, things just freak out. I made a 'stairway to heaven' of about 50 tethers long with a habitat on top. Saved it. Came back: floating habitat with a long string of tethers but none of the changes I made were visible. Also couldn't exit habitat with TAB rendering this savegame useless. (which is fine, my new base is better) I'm currently in a 'seed' where I seem to have twice as much resources as in the previous one, but hardly any copper and no lithium. I did found a cave the size of a small country filled with compound though. PS : thanks for this awesome game!
  10. When I connect multiple of my vehicles (like 3). In general when your vehicles connect it makes it laggy. The more connections the more lag. I have a high powered pc, 1080gtx 6700k cpu. I shouldnt be getting frame drop. If I unconnect the vehicles it stops lagging/frame drop. The farther I advance in the game the more lag I recieve. Although I only lag around my base were theres many things. But its game breaking lag.
  11. Hello to the Astroneer Developers First of all I'd like to say thank you for the amazingness of the game. I think it is much better than another well known open world game with cubes in it and it deserves to shine. But I'm not here to tell all the aspects why I love your game. I'm here to tell you a very bad reason of why I'm probably going to refund your game soon. So I started playing it yesterday and I loved it at first. I had some troubles understanding all things but after some 1 hour I was ready to explore the whole world. I started putting tethers one by one in order to go further in my exploration. But after about 1 hour of exploring, I realized my FPS had dropped significantly. I then closed all of my programs that were opened and tried restarting the game. But after all the effort, it did not change anything... I think my computer is like 2 years old so I understand technology evolves fast but still I find it very weird. I then connected to this forum and saw that I was not the only one experiencing this. So I just ask you today if we can get a real answer about this, if you saw our threads and if you are looking for a fix. Thanks for reading my words and have a nice day or night.

    6 Train Lag

    Playing on PC using keyboard and mouse I made a truck with 5 rovers as carriages, was fine setting off from the base but as i got into the mine i was exploiting the screen would lock up for a second every several seconds. Detaching the last carriage drastically reduced the issues (brief freezes with major scene changes like a cave loading with a lot of debris within)
  13. I played a couple of hours today (latest steam beta) and everything was fine. After a break i reloaded my save and had bad fps drops near my base down to 1 - 5 fps, afterwards the game crashed. Before i made the break i had constant 59/60 fps (v sync enabled). After the massive fps drop i was just building a train of 3 transporters (crane, 2 battery, 2 seats, storage, solar module, windfarm) and the game crashed. i submitted the report when the game crashed. On one connection of one of my trucks is suddenly a tiny bit of an organic stack (two bits) which i can not pick up or remove.     XB1 Rover FPS Drop

    Playing Astroneer on the Xbox One, finally got a rover, they're fun as heck(immediately got lost for eternity lol). However on Xbox One, whenever driving the Rover at least in my personal experience the FPS dropped plenty, and while still playable, it just looked terrible, and I'm sure this is not the intention, so I'm here!

    Issues On Tundra

    Hey! I recently Landed on tundra and it's my favorite planet yet. I noticed some Fps issues immediately after landing for the first time. I'm not sure what exactly the cause was. There seemed to be a lot of particles in the air, like during a mild storm, but all the time. I assume the particles were on purpose but they turn solid black somewhat often (video attached). The last issue was a loud sound error when I connect to tethers but I believe that had to do with the five batteries on my base charging me and not the planet. -Xbox1 20161221_230455.mp4
