    Won't install on pc

Hey My friend plays the game a ton and I wanted to play with him. He has an Xbox so I went through the Microsoft store, so I could play with him. I recently bought it and tried to download it but it doesn't want to work. I have updated my version of windows ten to the latest version. Any help would be great.
  2. Summary: Xbox live - PC guest playing with Xbox host. PC Guest is kicked when entering deep cavern Description: PC player joins Xbox game via xbox live. PC player enters deep cavern. Upon reaching the exact same (deep) point in the cavern, the PC session is disconnected from the game. This issue is reproducible at will. 3. So, the new patch supposedly allows xbox one and Windows 10 store cross-platform play, but there's absolutely no details on how to go about doing that. Is there a guide or something? Many thanks
  4. Hosting on Windows 10 and inviting an Xbox One player works reliably only on brand new saves. Once we play, build structures, alter terrain, etc, it becomes increasingly difficult to successfully connect. Currently hosting on a Windows 10 machine. Same home network. No firewall on the router. Any suggestions on what we could do to improve our chances of connecting?
  5. As the title suggests, I'm unable to play multiplayer cross platform with a windows 10 copy and an xbox one copy of astroneer. 2 separate accounts, 2 separate purchases of the game. Just gives a "Failed to join could not find session" error. I've tried inviting from the pc, inviting from the xbox, joining the xbox from the pc, joining the pc from the xbox. None of it seems to matter. I've tried doing all of those things while at the main menu of the game, while in game standing still, while in game running around, nothing seemed to make a difference. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    Multiplayer works only once

I already did a post about the cross platform not working and after waiting for some patch it finally worked for a few days but we stopped to play because of the vehicules glitching trough the ground, after waiting for a few patches again we wanted to create a new world and it worked fine but only once... i tried to create a new world again, it worked then i left the game loaded it again and my brother was unable to connect again (it says "Failed to connect to host), the multiplayer works only once for each worlds. I am the host and i play on the windows 10 version and my brother is on xbox one S. We are playing on the same internet connection. We both have a ethernet (cable) connection and the last version of the game (0.3.10199.0) Tell me if you need any information. Edit: For the first world we created the multiplayer worked once then it wasn't working and i fixed it simply that with a reboot of my computer but the game was always crashing on my brother's xbox so we stopped to play, since that the multiplayer works only once per world even if i reboot my computer.
  7. To all, My question is hoping someone has figured out a way to get the cross platform working in the newest releases. I've done some searching in the forums but find mostly PC to PC or Xbox to Xbox complaints. My friends and I use a Windows 10 PC to host a game, then as we can we join that game from Xbox One when we have time. It worked well pre 196, save the random disconnects and other minor issues. Our previous process was just: Windows 10 - Start Xbox app > Start game Then from an Xbox one - Select friend from list and join on game Since the patch we have tried to put the Host in DMZ, reinstalled the game, reinstalled the PC with a fresh load of windows 10, tried pre windows 10 updates / post windows 10 updates. We've done port sniffing to see about opening ports (pre DMZ) on the routers to allow access. We have tried on other computers and laptops. We have tried on other networks. We are just unable to connect anymore from an Xbox to a windows 10 pc. Has anyone else had the issue and found a resolution? I see in the patch notes that 197 was supposed to help cross platform play. I am hoping someone else has found the silver bullet to the issue at hand. Thank you.
  8. I wan't to play Astroneer with my brother, I have one instance on Windows 10(Not Steam), and one instance on Xbox One. I start a game on Windows, because I don't know how to join Xbox from Windows. Then I invite my brother who is on the Xbox. He is in the Main Menu, and presses join. It does the loading screen for about 2 minutes, and then it loads the normal menu. It also shows his saves. He launches his capsule, and it just starts a new game. We have tried this many times, and there are no actual tutorials on how to do this. Did anyone actually have success doing this, and how. Thanks for any support.
  9. Liked the trial tho not as long as id like as its very confusing starting off and how the game works. But w.e Bought the game on microsoft store. Started playing. I know its coop as well as play anywhere capable with windows 10. So i installed it on my pc and tried to join..but it keeps kicking me back to the menu. On my pc it says someone is already playing and if i want to sign out on the console or change accounts. My xbox one is set up as my home xbox. If she can play on her own on my xbox...why cant i be signed in to my pc and play coop with her as its crossplatform...i fear this is strictly a licensing issue where you try using 2 of the same cdkey for internet play and authentication gets messed up. I was excited to hear crossplatform was starting to emerge...but not if im having to buy seperate licenses..im trying to find a game my gf will like and this is one of them...just...we dont have 2 xboxes..and only my account is xbl gold. Not sure if this could ever change...but that really ? my mood after buying this game just to find this out the hard way.
  10. Description: When entering a hosted game the habitat lands inside the ground and the client player falls through the world and dies. 11. Verion patch [119] The issue is that when the XB1 player was near the WIN10 player the WIN10 players terrain tools did not make terrain changes. The power level would decrease for the WIN10 player, but no modifications would appear to the game world. When the XB1 player was outside of render distance the terrain tool would make changes to the game world. However, the terrain tool would then NOT gather resources. Resources gathered by the WIN10 player would just disappear after being collected. Game hosted by XBOX ONE with 2.4 Mbps Download speed. Multiplayer client on WIN10 64 bit, Intel Core i7 6700K, 16 GB RAM, Video R7 260X 1GB. with 100Mbps Download speed / 5.1 Mbps upload speed.
