  1. In my multiplayer server with my friends I grinded to get a crane, once I got it and put it on my large rover it didn't dig with the tier 1 drill. The host of the world tried it, and it worked for him but for everyone else it didn't. A bummer, a crane is pretty cool Please fix this! The crane doesn't work in multiplayer when you're not the host!
  2. As the crane has 2 Tier 1 attachment slots, they feel pretty useless since I've tested Augments and they don't seem to work... are those tier 1 slots intented to be used for boosters? Is this under development, or? How about making another 3rd slot on top of the 2 Tier ones so you can use 3 boosters like the terrain tool has?
  3. What if we could use the current terrain tool mods to improve the crane drill? Like the wide mod, boost mod, narrow mod, etc.!
  4. When I use the drill stage 3 on a crane, the canisters on the 4th Rover on the attached large/medium storages are no longer filled.   5. I have played Astroneer quite a bit for now and while it is great fun to play i noticed that there are several factors that make long term playing feel rather grindy and repetative. I could go the easy way and say it's just the lack of content to spend that much time on the game but i realized that there is actually enough stuff in the game already but it simply is balaced badly - as a consequence a lot of items become obsolete. Mining: The crane: a great feature but ultimately makes no sense to ever build. it gives no advantage to drilling speed of hard rocks over the terrain tool -
  6. For the first time since release I made a drill, Strength 3, placed it on the crane, and went drilling on Glacio. This did not trigger the achievement. When I placed the same drill on the front of my Large Rover and as soon as I started tunneling with that, the achievement triggered. So I do not know if it's crane-specific or drill 3 specific, as I cannot try this again, obviously.
  7. Controller: Keyboard/Mouse System: Steam, Windows 10 What happened: I wanted to expand my mining rover's capacity with the large storage silo. I placed 2 of them on my rover train with medium storages on them with canisters. When I used the crane, it ignored anything placed on the large storage silos and would not place items on empty storage slots on the large storage silos and instead dump them on the ground. The crane still works with the large storage. To repeat: Place large storage silo on large rover with a crane. Place a soil canister on the silo. The crane will not fill
  8. So, first I want to say that I love what you've done for the crane! It works awesome! However, I noticed that the rover thinks that I'm in the cockpit while in the crane. I was thinking, what about putting outriggers on the rover when the crane is attached? Or, just have outriggers anyway so that you could "Park" the rover when you need to get out.
  9. I would really like to be able to use a drill and crane to break down all the detritus around my area to use as scrap. As you use more and more resources, they become more scarce and I rely mostly on my trading platform when things become frustrating to find. The idea of having a trading platform is really amazing but finding scrap for it is really scarce. I really like the idea of attaching a crane, drill, some medium batteries, starage, and a large shredder on some rovers to go around the cleaning up and picking up scrap.
  10. We tried many configurations of Large Rover + Crane + Drill + Soil Canisters, but couldn't get it to fill the soil canister.
  11. easy to reproduce, and its just a little bit annoying. was messing around with the battery glitch on the large schredder, then notice something with the crane attachment. i wanted to change the drill, then i notice, when removing anything on crane head attachment, ( objects need to use the 2 dots for bug), then just drop it or put it somewhere, you cannot run or jump anymore, until you carry or move an other object. little video https://1drv.ms/u/s!AtZ4qkJdZXO1lTyYCbp9Gdq7Fqn8 DxDiag.txt
  12. Hi: Right now the crane is less useful than the terrain tool because the player can't illuminate the work, and doesn't get the icon tooltip to tell them when they're near a resource. I think the crane would be a lot of fun with those additions. Thanks!
  13. i managed to get around to smithing a Crane and a drill piece for a large rover, just found out that the canisters dont fill up when digging with the crane attachment like it use to. please fix this one
  14. I feel like there is currently a problem with the implementation of the crane in the game - it is *not* a driver seat and there fore can not be used to drive the vehicle around... But once you're inside it, the vehicle physics behaves as if you are in a driver seat of that vehicle, e.g. the wheels begin spinning freely and sliding more, unlocking. Therefore, I propose that crane is either changed to be a driver seat, allowing players to drive the vehicle from it and alter their position; Or that it is changed to not be treated as a driver seat at all, keeping the vehicle wheels locked as
  15. I used my vehicle bay to build a small shuttle. Without moving it, I started building a crane for one of my rovers. Yeah, I had no idea that you needed to park your vehicle under the Vehicle Bay printer arm, I thought it just worked like all the other printers/fabricators. I also had no idea it would become PERMANENTLY attached to my shuttle, ruining both the crane and the shuttle. The question is... why even allow a crane to be placed on a shuttle? It's not like I can go mining in outer space, right? And if you do allow it why not allow cranes to be removed, just like virtually anything el

I cannot fabricate a crane on radiated but i'm not sure if this bug only occurs in certain planets How to make bug : I don't really know actually i already have the recources but it just wont print i wish i had a screenshot but the save is already gone. I hope you (SESDEV) fix it. I bought the game on steam.
  17. Xbox One Alpha 8.0, unable to build crane on large rover due to height. Difficult to adjust terrain to compensate. When large rover is level with vehicle bay, the build option is unavailable due to interference.
  18. Hi, I am enjoying this game so much and would like to see future where you could drive and collect resources staying in one seat. Now every time there is a storm I have to jump into the driver seat and make sure that I am not blown into the hole I dug. Or you have driver seat to drive and "remote" (press of the button if you have a crane attach to your rover) you could quickly switch to crane mode. And also would be nice to see some kind of road module with you could attach to a front of the Large rover as it is slow and if you ad more of them it is almost undrivable on steep
  19. Adding the abillity for large rovers to put out of the down side of its platform some pillars that will raise the large rover not allowing it to move. This will be the most effective during sandstorms and while drilling. This will also add a nice feature, special only for the large rover, making it more interesting.
  20. adding a few more options to a crane would be useful. my ideas currrently are a lift, and a claw (which have been suggested in walker - the heavy duty vehicle) a claw would be of course able to lift things, you would need to press Q long to activate it or deactivate it. the lift is a little more complicated. it will have a rope (such as tethers but stronger and better looking), and at the lowest piece of it, it will have a connector. the connector would have the abillity to create 4 more rops, one to each corner of the storages, and will be able to lift it up. you
  21. What if there was a type of massive drill you could put on the front of a large rover that could dig tunnels that it could get through? The crane is hard to use and I think a drill module could make life easier for the average astroneer.
  22. On radiated planet I found it near impossible to enter my crane. It took 30 mins. the verb was not working. It appeared but the circle didnt fill when i pressed "E" no matter how near or far i was. or where i was in proximity to the crane.

  24. Getting more than a little sick of parking my Large Rover nicely by a resource deposit, only for it to roll into the pit while im mining because once i get in the crane, the brakes release and the rover starts rolling. This is a problem that drives me to punch my keyboard until it dies.
