    Desolo Gateways Broken

    Hello, I just been working on the Desolo gateways, powering up them in different ways. The first gateway I powered up using my base which was right next to it. I connected it up using extenders and ended up being fairly far away from it when connecting it and it finishing receiving power. When it received full power however the gateway didn't light up and the globe didn't appear. I can still connect power lines to it and the triangle will rise up, but it will not accept any more power going in to it. I also did the same on the other gateway on the other side of the planet and received the same problem. We also checked the core of the planet and it's locked off to us despite powering up both gateways. So kind of stuck here without being able to progress in the game despite having played on this save for 20+ hours, I don't really fancy starting again. This was done on a multiplayer save, however when I powered it up the first time on Desolo it was in solo play, there was no other client connected to the game at the time. Also while I'm here, please give the option to turn auto-save off when entering vehicles, as this can cause high frame rate issues and even potentially make the game crash multiple times while in multiplayer.     Change in Co-Op programming

    Question to SES, Has it been considered to allow clients joining a hosted game, to download that hosts generated seed. So that each client will process their own game data and thus reduce the amount of Host Lag. And reduce the meta data transfer between the clients and the host. Then that seed would be wiped when they quit as they arent the originator of that seed.

Terrain Sync issues Steam Version: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Back in EA, my friend joined my world and wandered why I sunk into the ground, I was just going into a cave but for him, all he could see no cave entrance. I saw this reported similarly back in EA but the same friend joined again and in version couldn't see a cave I was going into. Here is an attached photo of his view and a video of what I see. At this time the FPS dropped significantly and physics were glitching all over the place with the research ball.

    Several Coop Problems

    Me and my friend play coop via steam, and we're both using the newest version. We have encountered several problems(most of them in conjunction with interplanetary travel) when playing. I am hosting the sessions and my friend is joining through Steam. -Most of the time when my friend tries to exit a shuttle after travelling to another planet, he can't and has to rejoin to get out of the shuttle. -One time he tried to start the shuttle and get into orbit from sylva and after he was in orbit his camera jumped back to the place he launched from and he couldn't do anithing other than rejoin. After hed did rejoin, he was forced to start a new character and lost the items. Later we saw that the shuttle he started with was still in orbit and we couldn't get to it. -It also sometimes crashed when he mounts a tractor. -Sometimes items dissappear from my friends terrain tool -One shuttle couldn't start because it needed fuel even though we had the basic thruster, which normally doesn't require additional fuel(correct me if i'm wrong) Most of these things happen at random and we don't really know how to reproduce them. But most of them happened after we travelled to another planet the first time. We tried getting crash reports, but in the "Logs" folder were none. Also, is there any way to get the items back?   6. if I put a single-seater into a small shuttle (bigger ones might work too, but not tested), it is possible to take a friend with me to another planet. However, once arrived, the map is desynced: The model of the planet and the collision are seperately generated and have nothing in common. This bug is GAMEBREAKING. Summary: - Steam - Cave system terrain varies between host and client Description: I went to explore a cave system with my brother when he suddenly tells me I am walking through a wall and he can not follow me because very time he tries to edit the wall the soil just returns.   8. Hello dear Astroneer team, My friend and i have played your game in early access and loved it. Not that the 1.0 is released we were thrilled to play the for now finished game again. Sadly we cannot add each other ingame to our coop. We are both using steam but we are not listed as friends ingame. Did we do something wrong or is this a bug.   9. so first off so far love the update,. 1. when i at random times try to pull tractor it disconnects my trailers, i cant nail down if there is a trigger that causes it but its annoying. seems to happen when i get out and then get back in sometimes it dc's

    Small shuttle landing bugged

    Hello System Era Team! I was playing Astroneer here the other day with a friend. We spent like 6 hours on the same world and quickly discovered a bug with the Small Shuttle when we wanted to go space traveling. The problem occurs when you land a Small Shuttle. The thing is, when you first have printed a Small Shuttle you cannot move it. Then you launch it. When you then land on the home planet again it lands near the place you created it. In our case it landed on the side of our vehicle bay. This means it's blocking it. Well, not physically but optically blocking. We cannot move it so it stays there. All we can do is launch again and hope for a better landing spot next time. Of course we have gotten further and no longer need our Small Shuttles and therefore they're just there, floating mid-air, making our base look messy. Neither can it be removed nor moved. I have attached a photo in which the bug is displayed on the right side. Additionally: We had two and they land at the exact same place. This does not really do anything as they still work and we can still access both just fine, it's just a suggestion; maybe you should change that. It makes that part of the game look clumsy. Thank you for great game, can't wait till release.

I bought Astroneer yesterday together with my girlfriend and we wanted to play via LAN (On the same Router) but neitherless if she or me starts the game, we can not see each other playing in the steam overlay. There is an option where i can invite her to my world but if i click the Invite to Game button there is no invite going out. Is it maybe that the LAN uses the same connections (ports etc.) and eats the other clients connectivity? So i am curious, will LAN play be developed or will it not be possible to play together on the same network? Was it maybe just a steam service error cause there is this summer sale atm? Will there also be a Dedicated Server and when can we expect it to come? And what about a UI for "Create" or "Join a Game" option in the mainmenu, is there something on the way? Allthough i have to say i like your game i lost myself a couple of hours just running around on my own, digging up stuff. But i have to admit that it was the funkill after we tried to connect to eachother and failed a couple of times. I garantuee that we will return to Astroneer as soon as this fix is done but till then we have no other choice to wait, hope and see what the future brings.... Thank you for your answer in advance!   14. When joining someone (personally it was via Steam for myself) it would not show me the materials needed to craft an item in the backpack. Anytime I needed something I had to ask him because it wouldn't display
  15. Hello people! Me and my friend have some trouble to play togheter.. Simply we can’t join our worlds, the load screen says every time “Failed to connect... “. We have tried every possible solutions like joining the party while we are on the main screen, restart the console, restart the router, nothing have worked.. we can’t play togheter. how can I solve this problem? We have bought the game principally for the co-op, now we’re so disappointed for this..
  16. Me and my friend can't see malechite and laterite while the other one is hosting as seen on screenshot included. We both can mine. We both got Steam and version 0.6.5 and we both play on keyboard and mouse. Anyway this game is awesome and im looking forward to playing the finnished game. Good luck
  17. Can't seem to join my friend when they're in a game. I have tried both clicking join game and being invited by them. All it does is take me to a loading screen and then to the home screen, where if I click join I just start a new single player world. Any help would be appreciated.
  18. Will they eventually allow cross-play between Steam and Xbox One? Rocket league is cross-platform between Steam and Xbox One. So just wondering if they would eventually do the same thing here?
  19. Hi !! After the excavation update, i join a friend in his game, and after joined the game, me and my friend have lot of lag. The next day i join my friend for second time in his game and lot of mineral flying in the air & when we enter in shuttle we don't pop in seat. Look the screen Best regard

    Hi astronauts, my buddy newb tripped from his home planet to the moon in his shine new shuttle without enough fuel and no resources. So he's stuck.     random shutdown

    Summary: basicly my computer shuts down, did not have the problem yesterday Description: So i played yesterday again with a friend of mmine (big update wuuuu) and today i wanted to play again with him but just after he joined my computer shuts down, no crash, no bluescreen, just shutted down twice.   24. Hello, I found a bug when I join in a game with a friend who hosts the session. This is what happen. It happened twice in a row since the new update (patch 196). Here's the video.

So we loaded up the spacecraft and set off for a distant planet (radiated i believe, but not important) Step by step: -Client flew the host (3-seat) -Host couldn't see orbit because it doesn't update (i knew this already from previous experience, but might be related) -Client landed on the new planet around the equator (to make finding the base back easy when someone gets lost) -Client set down the habitat and locked it to the ground -Client expanded the ports, could see the ghost images and fill them up but couldn't see the finished node\2 slot platform -interlude -client flies host back to terran since he knows clients only spawn on terran -client quits to desktop game crashes -client rejoins the game -client flies host to planet again -host lands on home marker since client can't see it -bug still appears and now the habitat is 'also' not visible -interlude -host restarts game -host flies ship back to terran (this time and for the first time sees the orbit interaction) -client spawns crashpod it flies up higher and lands in the center of terran -client flies host to planet -host lands on home marker since client can't see it -interlude -client tries restart again since he didn't when the host restarted, guessing residue from the last session bugging it out -client spawns crashpod it flies up higher and lands in the center of terran -same results -interlude -we call it quits and try going to another planet with the resources we still have left ! IMPORTANT -HOST flies the ship to the other planet (Tundra i believe high mountain area) this time on it's own with client being passenger in the 3seat -Client builds base attached to spaceship -this time everything worked * strikethrough abc is probably unrelated to bug Now to conclude everything: I think it's related to the host not seeing orbit and the client causing a desync somehow joining a game again after a restart will not cause the client to get a fresh copy from the host instead (<- something is off here) Related threads Picture 3 of this thread is related, how the client saw the lifelines to the ship etc:
