Hi Team, Bugs: Structure Chem Lab fails to auto build. Structure Soil Centrifuge fails to work. Bugs started recently so are new. Not a common bug. This particular game save is an old, large save with multiple factories on 2 planets auto building things. Is is possible there is just too much going on that the game is starting to bug out? Save file too large? (I think its about 50mb). There are visual issue with these bugs. The Soil Centrifuge loses its lines where it shows how much soil it needs (its screen goes blank, see picture). The Chem Lab shows a missing mineral component (see picture). Both structures wont draw materials automatically if available. Where you can still manually use the Chem Lab, the Soil Centrifuge will be completely broken. New soil will not allow it to work at all or changing its settings. A work around was to use the packager on a structure then un-package and try again. This seems to work for the Soil Centrifuge but not the Chem Lab however the bug does return reloading game. Built a new Chem Lab, same issue. A new Soil Centrifuge, this works however the bug does return reloading game. Specs: OS: Win10 GPU: Radeon RX 580 CPU: AMD Rysen 5 2600X 16GB RAM Game runs on an SSD. Anyway it is what it is. Cheers team. Love the updates.

Seed Stand -requires carbon & other resources to make a small list of plants and trees I have noticed my planet is so bare because I have torn up all the plants for use in small generators. I think it be beautiful to plant things Around my metal and machine heavy base. Outside of the choices of seeds we already have. I don’t feel inspired by the alien plants we have in Astroneer especially the exploding ones. I would love some exotic green and beautiful things to plant. thanks guys!!!!! jamison on a mission

So I was doing some storage in my base with the extra large platform B and it goes like this. Then I find out that you can easily fill the hole it make by puting ground on the top of the platform first, like this. So if you put ground in any platform without mooving the ground on the feet of the platform that fix it completly. (not prevented to be grab by the player by the way.) I submit that here because I think it's an actual good mechanic that could be greatly exploited. Here a few ideas about how: Platform feet could be adjustable so you can easily place the patform where you want to fix it. Then you can take the useless feet off. Some platform could have an extention to be more easily fixed in ground like a door with a small border meant to go in a wall. So is that mechanic intended ? What do you think about it, good or bad ? Are we going to exploit it ? Thx for reading

Since Aligning Platforms is kind of hard in Astroneer, I propose, that if you want to place a platform next to another one, the one your holding can snap to the same angle and relative position as the already placed one. Also there could be a rotation display of some sort, that shows you the angle of the terrain tool. tool For Example: A platform is placed on the ground and you wan to place an few in a row. You could now grab another platform and hold it near the already placed one and if close enough, it would align itself to the other one, so they can be placed in a row.

Hi. I found a ploblem with my new car, when I building it near with my base. She stuck in earth, but how did she can do this, I don't know. I did: Started car creating. After creating, I change object in middle printer, add resoureses and look on my car. She in earth... In undestroyable earth. I can't do nothing with this. Except to tell you about it.

so my idea is: you can make a new building called a Fabricator (or a sewing place) how you use it is you can get trees from a forest and put it in the fabricator and make paper or cloth (idk what the paper can be used for but ik what cloth can be used for) you can use the cloth to upgrade your suit to be resistant to radiation (which i also want to be added) and you can make a geiger counter to put on your character like on the terrain tool. also the radiation slowly depletes your health.

Simple request, Give as a "true flat" mod for Terrain Tool so we can easily make mega structures as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLU0YEDvRKY This tool should be in constrast from the "alighnment mod" which only flatens relative to the core and not relative to a true flat plane

I have built a tunnel that goes through various caves where I want to bring up a commodity with a vehicle. Unfortunately, this is not correct, since in the tunnel occasionally spur small pieces of rock and thus the vehicle hangs fast. Also, if I sometimes mine rock for the tunnel, it'll just come back on the road. But only I see it then, no other player. In the added picture are some small pieces of red mackiert and behind the vehicle which I can not get through And the last one. When I walk through the tunnel, I've had it a few times before, the stone disappears around me and everything is empty. When I empty up in front of me and I go on, I fly through the mountain and when I land I am usually in some cave where I land immediately.

I really wish their is a way to deconstruct base structures, because they take up so much room and sometimes aren't always fully used. When a player would deconstruct a structure the player should receive 50% back of what he put used to build that structure with. I hope you guys will add this feature to the game!!

On xbox, lack of mouse support makes it nearly impossible to create flat structures. A solution to this could be printable architecture! At first I was just focused on flat walls and floors that snap together easily, but there is potential to make unlockable shapes and styles like crown mouldings, stairs, railings, columns, windows, doors, roofs, etc. If these are crafted with colored terrain analyzers the colors could be applied as well! Having many different size and style options would provide more options for decorating and building. All options should be bought with bytes to give more items to unlock. Rather than just crafting from soil, perhaps trees could be 'shredded' and wood grain styles/textures could be implemented. Other building materials could be useful as well like steel, aluminum, etc. Another option could be conductive surfaces: giving players walls that could distribute power without needing to connect modules at a slight loss of power. (Think wireless charger) Just to reiterate, the main point here is to give Xbox players an option for aestheticly pleasing bases. I've built bases on Xbox but I can't even come close to replicating the deatil you can get with kb+m. Anything to add? Sorry if this has been suggested, I didn't see it anywhere when I checked.

Summary: Issues regarding planet exploration and building (0.10.2.0) Steam Description: These issues only happen when I leave my starter planet then stop once I return. flattening terrain in near impossible. When trying, my cursor will seem to get stuck soon after I start dragging and then will jump to a near by location. Placing buildings such as platforms share the same properties as the previous issue Travailing by foot is difficult. After every step or two I seem to get stuck on the terrain despite little to no deviations. The only way I can avoid this is to continuously keep jumping. The crafting menu holograms on my backpack keep shacking. I am referring to where you would craft tethers. This seems to only have visual effects. Specifactions: OS: Windows 10 Education Version 1803 Build 17134.345 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz AMD Radeon (TM) R9 380 Series) 16 DDR4 Raid Ram 1TB Segate HDD Things I have tried: Restarting the game Restarting my computer Creating a new world I will also like to say that I do love this game a lot. I got it a few months after if first came out and loved every update that came to it. I highly appreciate your time looking into this issue! The problems I normally have are similar to everyone else so I never raised mush concern because I know your dev team is working hard to fix the issues. But I wasn't able to find someone else with this issue so I am starting to have some concerns. Any help is highly appreciated! If there is anything you would like for me to try please reply! Thanks again!

When I am playing I usually set up a main base in a planet (or moon) so usually the bases i have in other planets become useless and if i need to get materials from other planet i preffer to use the trade platform if posible because of the pain and the times it takes having to move with you and your ship the materials between panets. That is why i suggest implementing the Railgun and the Railgun target to send materials between bases. The railgun consumes electricity and once charged shoots the material in its main inventory hole, then it starts recharging and moves anything in connected inventories towards itself. The railgun target is where the shoots of the railgun will fall. It conects to the railgun using spooky magic (or as i like to call it electromagnetic waves) to send its position and you can select within the railgun between all the the posible targets to launch the materials. I send a picture to ilustrate better this idea: Railgun.bmp

I am trying to create a extra large platform and extra large storage and am not sure if I’m doing the right thing.I can’t see it in the fabricators and vehicle bay and I have researched it .

This thread is expanding on an idea I previously mentioned in response to another topic. TL;DR: Add stack-able structure bricks, made from compressed soil. ⇩ Summary As it turns out, this isn’t an entirely original idea. Bricks/blocks made from compressed regolith is a real strategy, and has been seriously considered for colonizing Mars, and beyond. The entire idea is reminiscent of when settlers made houses from the very sod they walked upon. The more things change, the more they stay the same, and otherworldly habitats may very well come in the form of compacted dirt. Still, you might wonder, why make bricks from soil? This is an important question; especially in a game where the surface can be remolded at will. Well, here are some reasons: ⚒ Durability Terrain that’s accidentally swiped using the Terrain Tool - without an Inhibitor Mod - will be torn up by mistake. Compressed terrain in the form of building blocks stops this. Making interior spaces would be very easy; bricks could be placed in a large mass, then removed after terrain is molded around them like a casting, creating nicely uniform interiors. An inner wall of bricks could be left to prevent damaging outer terrain by mistaken digging. ⚐ Signs of Life Nature will always take back what belongs to it, and terriformed soil is no exception. Over time, molded terrain reforms to the natural environment; becoming dirtied with debris and coloration. This is often deadly. A storm shelter that was dug to protect Astroneers fleeing poor weather becomes camouflaged against its surroundings. Beacons might be a solution to finding hidden bunkers, but this clutters the UI, and can actually impede getting to safety at distance. Teathers can highlight routes to safe zones, but over large distances this is not always feasible. Bricks would be dense (as material only mineable with drill heads). Hardened blocks would not be sullied by flora regrowth, coloration shift, or debris deposit. Small stacks of bricks could even be used like road signs to mark pre-explored routes; allowing Astroneers to traverse with rovers more easily along paths they know are easy. ⚖ Standardized Unit Terrain does not expand uniformly. Being able to lay down a uniform block of compressed terrain opens up new worlds for building systems. The game already has modules, but they act more like internal components of nonexistent buildings. A brick system allows forming structures around bases, and help stabilize modules. ☄ Future Considerations Future updates may create more demand for durable, modular construction. Meteorite bombardments, liquids, and hostile fauna additions could be held at bay with walls, moats, and bunkers formed from compacted soil bricks. So, tell me what you think?

When you try to build, especially when trying to make flat surfaces, the reticle snaps to strange angles. *Note* re-logging does not change this and it is not a lag issue video link: https://youtu.be/walJPSSeDE4

Right now you are confined to the five planets(and moon) except for the shuttles. Shuttles can be made and fueled easily and have great range. Instead the small shuttle can only go to Barren and back and the large shuttle can go to Arid and Tundra(I believe they are next closest two planets. There should be the ability to build a space station this sould take a lot of resources and a long time. Also the space station would be the next leg in exploration. To build the station you could wear a jetpack (IMU) or a crane. Once the space station is large enough a spaceship and eventually a starship. This is how we would get to the other planets including new ones. This could also be a new use for hemitite and coal, they could be combined to make steel. The space station could also be used for zero gee crafting. Also each of the planets should have a unique resource or resources.

The creation aspect is fun but is to 'wonky' to get anything done with precision. So let's add Panels Different sized and preferably Triangle, square, rod/pole, windows even. Then make it so that the edges of the panels can be snapped together in 15 degree intervals to allow for various shapes. Being able to change panel colors would be an added bonus and will really get people to want to build cities! The new Scrap metal feature can help greatly in the creation of the items, maybe even give the scrap a higher value when being turned into panels. All panels should be in a deploy-able format that allows the user to carry them from creation to location with greater ease! the panels should be able to be printed in both the back pack and medium printer, size pending. If you're gonna add panels you might as well have Transit Tubes. Various sizes with person and vehicles heights in mind. -Small tubes can fit 2 people -medium tubes can fit medium rovers -large tubes can be either massive or just big enough for 2 medium rovers to drive through Make sure all tubes are omnidirectional in power and can be also used as shelter. A side note is the addition of a Monorail system that allows the player to either create different track pieces that snap together or track pieces that can be placed much like the tether extenders where the track forms between the placements. I'd prefer the second method.

I... love the update... a little too much. This is my main little hideout. It connects to the mine (not shown in this tour), the Intercommunal Railroad, and the Wind Farm. I'm in the process of building extractors for every resource I deem useful (in other words, screw ammonium, coal, and organic). I didn't get many details of the wind farm, since it's mostly still "indev", but I wanted to show it to prefice just how much of a building nerd I am. I spent way more time than I'd like to admit on my connector between the main base and the Quarry. Thankfully, I had the Quarry up and running, so grinding all the materials wasn't... as bad as one would think. At least I got some pretty mountain views out of it. Also: SYSTEM ERA, PLEASE, FOR SOL'S SAKE, GIVE US LONG-RANGE CONNECTORS. And lastly, we have my humble little Quarry base. Fun Fact, I actually ended up stranding myself here because I took a large platform with me and forgot about tethers. Je ne suis pas tres intelligent. Bonus Picture: To aid in construction time, I built a station near the road. I can confirm that you can actually fabricate items on a ceiling.

(sry if I made some spelling mistakes but I did my best hope you guys like it Hey Explorers! I was sitting in my shelter for the storm and I tought that there was only one event the storm itself nothing else, and I ran into the idea of a comet event. The comet canbe visited for a short amount of time and can be only seen from a the planets who it passes true (not the beginner planet) the comet itself is like a tiny mine with a resource that can be only found on te comet itself nowhere else. My second event is a meteor rain when a planet or a part of a planets surface has no resources left there (maybe) a meteor rain that hit the surface of the planet it can be seen from space where the meteors hit so you can land there also it can be a event where a meteor hits your base and blows a part of your base to pieces. The thirt event is a earthquake destroying bases and flattens the ground fun for some action and also more dum I think the damage still shout be light because losing you hole base is very very anouying when youre trying to explore a planet. (plus I think its not very fun to lose your base in this way its way cooler if a meteor hits your base and then BOOOM!!!! EVERYTHING IS GONE this way is a lot more fun to see and happen) Material Waste such as from making copper or any metal that there is material waste that is dangerous. This makes getting materials harder and more of a challenge (I think its a little weird to just mine and have resources by instand)With this idea I want to make a place to dumb my waste underground to another planet or just next to my base gives me a little my toxic in game it can be also damaging your health when your just dumping it in the open and plants will die (not something that realy is astroneer like but still very cool and stil fits ingame) A builting system just like subnautica [game on steam = http://store.steampowered.com/app/264710/Subnautica/ ] make it that you can built above ground and under and use this last added base building system as a scout base ez to pack up and move (like a mongolian yurt) I like the base system now its just and idea this is just a lot of work to add and the base buildings system has been updated not long ago soo I dont exspect much Some random toughts A knockout time before you die to oxigen soo that your friend can save you when youre exploring in a cave (needs oxigen tank to save a friend) better rendered planet on the horizon metal detector to find metal true the ground better rocket landing on planets lighting when storming able to rappel mountens/or with picaxes

Summary: 0.6.8 - Steam - Vehicle Entry Bug. Description: I have been playing Astroneer for a while and Played all the way to the end of a game in 0.6.5 (updated to 0.6.8) I noticed that there is a bug with the entry of vehicles. But I only seem to get it when holding certain items in my backpack. The most common item that has caused problems with vehicle entry and building entry is the Canister. Once I hold 1 or more in my backpack the mining tool opens instead of the interaction with buildings to enter. Platform: Steam Version / Build Number: 0.6.8 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 V. 1709 Build 16299.309 CPU: Intell Core i5-3570K @3.4Ghz GPU: GTX 1050Ti 4Gb RAM: 16Gb (2x8GB DDR3 2400hz) Drive: 2TB Western Digital 5400rpm

I have very much enjoyed being able to create structures and build rudimentary buildings with the soil from the containers. I would love the ability to builds with various colours, however, the building colour is set. I was thinking that a cool aspect would be that the colour of the soil inside the container is a mix of the colours of soil extracted from the terrain. This way building colour would change depending on where it was extracted. Furthermore, a module could be researched and built that filters the soil inside a container into the different base colours so that one could build with them. This would allow you to hold different colours of soil in different containers. This idea could lead nicely into the idea that particular soil colours have particular properties, and the terrain gun can then be used to build and manipulate those properties. an example would be that you could grow particular vegetation on a particular soil, one would then be able to farm something. Although this is just a thought of what could happen as an extension.

This is a bit of a strange concept, but what if there was a building system involving placing objects to be static, as well as a system or a tool that let you research natural objects (such as those big yellow pillars) and print them as a base material?

Hello, First, I am a huge fan of these sandbox type games. I LOVE to explore, mine, farm, and build. I didn't know much about this game, but a friend showed me and now I'm simply addicted. It really is a great game base, with a very relaxing environment. Second, I want to touch on the base building. Now, while I have not touched the later game content (so this may exist), I find it somewhat disappointing that I cannot build my own station (walls, floors, et.). I feel this could be vastly improved upon so that players feel a sense of customizability, unique to their play through, and safety. Players could store supplies inside (I like to have storage for EACH resource), have beds, and more. I really can't state that I have any hard ideas on this subject as I don't know anything about the system used to run it, or what you guys use to make you models for the structures, but I feel that this sense of customizability will greatly increase the player base, as people like to be unique. Its all just thoughts on my part. I'm not sure if you guys are going to implement any survival requirements, but please don't. The world needs less harsh survival online pvp games. I moss my single player and co-op, and this is perfect so far in indulging that need. Thanks Devs!
