Summary: 7.0 - Steam - Medium Printer won't work Description: The medium printer, when fabricated and placed upon a medium or larger platform, often fails to expand to its full size or become usable. I was able to fabricate one that worked at one time (the one shown) but upon loading in the next time it wouldn't allow me to interact with it and start the printing process, even when connected to power and with sufficient resources. Platform: Steam Version: 7.0 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 Home CPU: Intel i7-7700HQ 2.8Ghz GPU:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 RAM:16384 RAM Drive: NVMe SAMSUNG MZVLW512 (Picture shown shows me standing next to the printer, which won't allow me to interact with it even if I hover my cursor over it. I usually play with my Lenovo laptop hooked up through a cable to my TV and with a wired X-box controller)

I was sitting in my shelter for the storm and I tought that there was only one event the storm itself nothing else, and I ran into the idea of a comet event. The comet canbe visited for a short amount of time and can be only seen from a the planets who it passes true (not the beginner planet) the comet itself is like a tiny mine with a resource that can be only found on te comet itself nowhere else. My second event is a meteor rain when a planet or a part of a planets surface has no resources left there (maybe) a meteor rain that hit the surface of the planet it can be seen from space where the meteors hit so you can land there also it can be a event where a meteor hits your base and blows a part of your base to pieces. The thirt event is a earthquake destroying bases and flattens the ground fun for some action and also more dum I think the damage still shout be light because losing you hole base is very very anouying when youre trying to explore a planet. (plus I think its not very fun to lose your base in this way its way cooler if a meteor hits your base and then BOOOM!!!! EVERYTHING IS GONE this way is a lot more fun to see and happen) Material Waste such as from making copper or any metal that there is material waste that is dangerous. This makes getting materials harder and more of a challenge (I think its a little weird to just mine and have resources by instand)With this idea I want to make a place to dumb my waste underground to another planet or just next to my base gives me a little my toxic in game it can be also damaging your health when your just dumping it in the open and plants will die (not something that realy is astroneer like but still very cool and stil fits ingame) A builting system just like subnautica [game on steam = http://store.steampowered.com/app/264710/Subnautica/ ] make it that you can built above ground and under and use this last added base building system as a scout base ez to pack up and move (like a mongolian yurt) I like the base system now its just and idea this is just a lot of work to add and the base buildings system has been updated not long ago soo I dont exspect much Some random toughts A knockout time before you die to oxigen soo that your friend can save you when youre exploring in a cave (needs oxigen tank to save a friend) better rendered planet on the horizon metal detector to find metal true the ground better rocket landing on planets lighting when storming able to rappel mountens/or with picaxes

I´m unlocking modules, and this and that but i´m not sure the use of some of them and i don´t know wich ones are more essential than others. Can you tell me please wich is the "proper" way to expand and grow? Wich are the essential builds please? Thanks.
  7. I would really like to see road building as a thing. Maybe have a researched attachment in front of the vehicle, that flattens terrain. Being able to create a network of smooth roads would open up exploration hugely, as well being a lot of fun in itself.

    My Personal Vision For Astroneer

    I have been thinking about what would be nice to have in this game... Of course, since its still pre-alpha, there are a lot of things, ignoring confirmed/not confirmed that havn't been implemented YET. So, I decided to compile my own view on what Astroneer should be. Commenting on the document is enabled and encouraged!! Check the document for updates, too. THIS WILL CONTAIN FEATURES ALREADY ADDED OR CONFIRMED TO BE ADDED. I AM FULLY AWARE, JUST COVERING BASES.   9. I built several buildings & think there is one called a printer that I can't make with my current base config, It would be nice to be able to break down / destroy a building. Or to be able to move them around if you are in the central starting / saving pod.

    Which build is my save

    I know people have suggested that you always should start a new game with a new build to get the best/latest features and fixes. However I bet some don't as they've invested time in a current save. It could therefore be a couple of builds before a new game is started. Suggest that the detail of which build a save was started against is made available. That way, if I'm a few behind I may then choose to catch up especially if there has been enough new content delivered.

    Windows 10 64bit Steam Mouse/Keyboard Singleplayer Patch 196 Whenever I try to build a platform onto my base, it either: Appears as normal, then in the middle of construction, veers off to my left or right (most commonly right) The blue construction guide thing veers off to my left or right instead of straight in front of me, then after feeding it a stack of resin, it continues off in that direction

So guys, i get started to play Astroneer with friends, and i find very usefoul build roads due to the "un-driveability" of rover but especially trucks (come on man, it seems that the wheels are on ice ) BUT i can't get a clean and flat ramp and road (i know that isn't very much a problem but man, i'm a perfectionist), ALSO the real problem are the rocks, BIG ROCKS, that magically apperas or fall down from the sky and sit on the beautifoul and clean road that i've just made (that's make me sick)... any tips do deal with those please?

    Can't build a printer

    Can't build a printer. Can only build a smelter and a research module on a platform. Unlocked already a lot of printable objects, but i can't print these without printer. Same issue in a new game. Version Q3.10153

    Lost save

    Lost maybe 10 hours of work on a save. Yes I entered the pod to save before exiting, and many times entered the rover which supposedly saves as well. I was on the second planet (possibly moon) when I lost it and am back on first one where my rover is half built. Xbox one

    New planet build problem

    Platform: Steam Mouse/keyboard Started a new game and played normally building on my "home" planet. Went to a new planet to find other resources, put down a beacon then explored. Could not find building materials so I went back to my "home" planet to get some. Returned to the beacon on the new planet and I am unable to build/extend from my spacecraft at any of the landing areas on the new planet to begin building a new base. Repeated the process on a new save game and the same thing happened.
  16. MOST OF THIS IS ALSO POSTED ON THE ASTRONEER FACEBOOK PAGE: My friend and I are currently unable to build on any of the other planets! We love this game but its a substantially gamebreaking glitch. Any time we relocate, whoever is not the host is unable to see anything, once we extend the building lines with resin everything just disappears, and the tether lines bug out, looking perforated or like an upside down arc. I saw a few posts on the forums but no response yet so I figured I'd try on here! Thanks, and keep up the amazing work! EDIT: The first glitched video is ACTUALLY what he saw once we rigged him into the ship. Once he got into the parked ship, all he saw were tethers, the base that he COULD'NT see before he got on the ship, and the researchables / hazards in the area. I will upload his actual footage that is simultaneous with what my host PC saw so you can compare the two. HOST VIDEO (Working as intended, this is us landing on radiated at the base i built) : CLIENT TWO VIDEO (unplayable glitch, can't see base on other planets. Footage is of us landing at the same base as shown in the above video, however he can't see ANY of the base.) : CLIENT TWO once we glitched him into the spaceship footage (ship was still on the ground, but now he could see the base and other random things. Remember that before we glitched him into the ship, he couldn't even see the ship or the base at all): Hopefully this helps!!! We played this game shortly after it was available for purchase and this was NOT a problem back then, so something else triggered this, though I have no idea what!
  17. Hello, i was more or less done with my first base on the startingplanet. Then i decided to take the shuttle and take a liftoff to another location on the first planet. When i landed there, i started to build the first "building" next to the shuttle. This was connected to my shuttle, and i thought it would be good to build the "trade-center". After i put in the 2 resins in, the trade center was missing 2 resources.. so i decided to take off to my starting area and get more resources.. collected them, refilled my shuttle and take off.. ok.. up in space i was not able to land on that spot where i was about to finalize the "trade-center".. i saw the symbol on the planet.. but the bubble to click was no longer there and i could not land there.. so i decided to land on a different spot.. and now .. here it comes.. I can not build anything on my shuttle again.. even if i have enough resources... i was wondering if it just this spot.. which is was not.. i tried 2 other locations.. but with the same result.. Now i am on the ground.. and do not have enough fuel to get up in space again.. i have enough resins to create something but it just dont let me... Maybe its a bug or am i doing anything wrong? even reloading the savegame does not let me build anything..
  18. Me and my friends were playing online, 3 total including me. We came to Tundra, where me and the host previously started establishing a base. But once we all got there the second time, we couldn't see the base, but the host could. Sometimes if you teraform in a certain area where there was change to the physical planet, it'll go back to how it was previously, but the planet, as a whole, was in the original setting. If that could be fixed, that would be great. A side note that I would love to see is that you could choose what planet you land on, if a base has been established there. That is the the people joining in on the hosts game. Maybe make it so the host has the approve of it if that's an issue? It's just so annoying because if you try to leave the game to reset the land to how it should be, you're sent back to Terran and you gotta fly back, which often doesn't help anything because it resets the planet back to being basic. Please fix this, I hate it so much.

    6 Build Ideas

    Just thought I would contribute a few ideas I had for the game. Will add more as they come to me and edit this post accordingly~
  20. In the latest build (0.2117.0) You cannot select the Tether (T on a PC) hot key while pressing the Move (W), sprint (shift-W) or babystep (Crtl-W) hot keys, before you could. Example: You're walking/sprinting and placing tethers while moving, before this build you could continue moving uninterruped, hit the hot key, continue moving and set down a tether. This aids in quick movement and laying down a line of tethers unimpeded. Now you have to stop moving altogether, select T and then continue moving. If you hit T while moving, it plays a "flat" sound, indicating you've done something wrong. Why it matters: Being able to place a tether while continuing to move is an efficiency issue and significantly slows down gameplay if you have to stop to select it. Besides using a keyboard, like many people, I use a multi-button programmable mouse. Whether on the keyboard or mouse button the Tether hot key no longer works unless you deselect the move hot key, stopping Astroneer. Although there are times when it's appropriate for one hot key to prevent/interrupt another, this isn't one of them. Request: Please change it back so that the Tether hot key can be selected while Move hot keys (incl. combinations) are depressed.
  21. Here is a video I made to make a Power Generator. Its pretty simple, but VERY helpful, all it takes is a rover or truck and some solar panels or wind vanes.
  22. [To desolate in advance of my vocabulary in English] Hello,Game creator and Player I introduce myself kiralefaucheur and I would like to propose to you an idea that trots me in the head! For me the game Astroneer this situates in a future close to the genre 2030 maximum (with the March mission that prepares it, if you have not heard speak) So I would like this game to evolve to the maximum being a games sandbox and survival open world in space. I would like to propose an idea to be able to build his house,But not just copy the building creation system like Rust or the ARK game. But more on a biodome system, like Strategy, Management and Survival, I'm talking about PlaneteBase! Obviously for all that is creation of vehicle, solar panels, wind and all the exterior type construction would not be in a biodome. On the other hand the Biodomes could have the different size according to the materials, and that the energy conducts when each biome and connect! And why not also created compared to that an oxigene generator for a little more survival (I speak that if have created biodome) And even later power creates thermal energy for a more stable consumption but can be less profitable to avoid ease, has to see again! Roughly my idea, I'm still full, and especially for more details do not hesitate to ask me. I hope that my project pleases you and that the developer of the game, can integrate it! Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and be interested in this project and my idea even if little else had it before me!

    items blown away!

    So, I was thinking, these storms are pretty annoying, but I can manage against them, but like why not make the storms also blow away your stuff on the ground? Like, you have Titanium on the floor instead of building a storage to hold more things, then it should be blown away when a storm comes, lol. I think that would make the game a little more fun and careful, and more grateful when you get lithium or titanium.

    Terrain tool mods UI

    Wuddup folks. Sittin here not sleeping imagining a clever ui system for the terrain tool and future modifiers. Basically, the terrain tool becomes accessible via a hotkey, call it e. Press E, and the terrain tool flies into focus much like the backpack. From here, the tool contains a single 1snap mount that can be used to modify its actions. Perhaps also some basic parameters are available with simple mouse clicks here like brush size etc. Want the only "lazor" in the game? Better find that holy grail 1snap tool mod in the deepest alien research module on exotic... brush pattern, energy saver, "spraypaint" mode that builds and destructs in swiss cheese flavor, etc.... What gets interesting here is 2 things. 1. Maybe these snaps are a different size and are kept in a "toolbox" that attaches to your backpack or something so that these mods have only one purpose and other 1snaps are not going to fit on your astrovac (no bonus carrying capacity like a compound in your build slot) 2. OR perhaps other regular 1snaps ALSO act as modifiers.... this can be as simple as color eg; slap in some compound and you build in white. Or even further down the list of possibilities, it could get crazy. A lump of power in your gun creates terrain with luminescence. Hydrazine makes terrain with higher friction for efficient roadways. Organic spawns plants. Aluminum creates smooth terrain with blended voxels for very appealing "walls" and other structures. Maybe resin is clippable, becoming a physicsless "water"... Oh yea unrelated, but also cool would be a terrain tool mod that creates "permanent" structures. Probably does not add or subtract material, but simply floats over existing matter and glues it into uneditableness. Hopefully also with some voxel smoothing for ultimate in appealing structures.... Anyway, Obviously im getting way out into dreamland. The main point of my post is to offer a possible simple solution to what might otherwise be some challenging or time consuming code to further the "creative" agenda with the press e, insert different terrain tool idea...   25. I flew to another planet and built off of my shuttle. I then noticed that I messed up and couldn't build anymore. I flew back home then to another planet and couldn't build off of my shuttle. Why?
