  1. As you all know, there are only two reasons to go to Atrox: getting Helium to make Nanocarbon Alloy (and from there RTGs and other endgame items) and of course There's literally no reason to explore it, as it doesn't even have specific resources like all the other planets do. It feels like a missed opportunity for the hardest planet in the game to be the least rewarding to traverse and explore & encourages players to just set up a base and never move from there. I think Atrox really needs some work put into it, so it's not just a case of "go there, set up an atmospheric condenser with an RTG and call it a day". Given you HAVE to go there if you want an RTG, it only seems logical to make players want to explore it and face all the hazards that SES has put effort and time into making. So, here are some things I think could make it interesting: The easy solution: add some normal resource (ie not gas, but a mine-able one) that spawns as primary, so in the cave layers. Given the planet's radiated nature, the logical choice would be Uranium. Possibly make it rare-ish, so you'd really need to explore caves facing all those beloved rocket-launcher plants to find it. This resource could be used to craft some endgame items. Also you could possibly need to make some radiation protection armour to prevent getting irradiated to death from uranium clusters. Make its research-able samples have a very high byte count (ie 10k or more bytes) higher than that of Glacio's samples. That way the challenging exploration + hauling of the samples needed to research them would be paired with a good reward. This would probably require rebalancing Glacio's samples as they simply break the research system. This ties into #1: add a system whereby you can find something like ancient technology scattered around the planets (not the usual debris, something else entirely) which you can then use to build some real endgame machines. I'm thinking a helicopter or some other sort of flying machine with which you can take off and land anywhere. Add some sort of fauna that has evolved to withstand the radioactive environment; you could potentially tame this animal and it would help you out while scouting caves etc, killing harmful plants and such and it'd be a companion similar to the cuddlefish in Subnautica. Post your ideas below!
  2. Hi, apologies if this has been posted elsewhere (I did search, honest), or not a bug,but on Atrox it appears the Paver is not working once you get down to the "Rock" levels (see picture). I've tried restarting the game several times, and tried it in several locations including some newly dug tunnels, but it seems that once you get past the soil type substrata the paver just won't work (or might work very intermittently). This includes it stopping abruptly laying road as you reach that depth, as well as it not starting laying a surface if you are already at depth.. I have found a few areas where it seems to work, sort of, but stops again almost immediately (rather than paving it's just creating speed bumps). I've tried different areas on Atrox, different vehicles (medium rover with the soil canister on the same chasis, and tractor with the soil canister on a trailer). I've not tried it on other planets yet. This is on the current PC/Steam version under Windows 10 (I7 4770k, 32gb ram, GTX 1070 8gb). As I say, I'm not sure if this is a bug, or working as intended as I can't find much about the paver other than the basics online. I do love the paver and the drill UI improvement, as it's made life much simpler and if it works underground it will save me a great deal of time next time I fall into a cavern whilst drilling, or simply as I dig down (no getting out with my shovel and billy can to lay the road by hand).. .

    New Power Source

Geyser Power Generator. I've seen them on Desoro, Glacio and to a lesser degree Atrox. It would be a module that would have to be installed on top of a geyser or fume elimination point, then you would have to run the power to where ever your station is. In the case for Desoro and Glacio, the actual pressure from it would allow for the power, while Atrox you would actually harness the fumes passing through the surface. This is just another alternative power source, especially in the case of Atrox where it's extremely limited from the get go. If we ever seen running water in the game, it could then be converted to utilize that as energy as well.
  4. OMG I`m getting so frustrated with this game. On the final planet trying to activate. Just trying to find the last node on the surface but the damn game crashes almost every freakin time I enter my Tractor. Like seriously over 20 times in the past 2 days. Seriously still need to do some major stability fixes damn!
  5. So, me and the guys were preparing to move to Atrox to build a new base, we were pretty much endgame at that point, we lost a couple hours making a new base to explorer Atrox, (because we just got there to capture gases, a nut and go relationship). In my Shuttle was only me, Chem. Lab, Shelter, Soil R. , 9 RTG, a Truck with trailers and power to go straight to the core if needed, 4 Silos filled with stuff to build anything we might need in there. The objetive was clear, explore Atrox core and its environment, simple right? The thing was, after i was moving to Atrox orbit the game crashes... My character gone, nowhere to be seen and i needed to spawn in the Burrito Satellite again. Everything that was in my Backpack was there once i came back, but the Shuttle was gone, we made some incursions to Atrox and near planets to search for the missing Ship, eventually we saw something that resemble a rocket, floating in space near Atrox, yes, our shuttle was there floating in the space with a couple hours work inside it and no chance to retrieve it back. Im writing this because i want to be mistaken, i want that ship back so we can do our thing but i have no idea what i should do to accomplish this. Tips, lore and F's are welcome. By this time we are build everything to move to Atrox from the scratch again, we are not quitting to explore that hostile planet yet. In anex we have Chernobyl - Circa 1985 (Colorized) Chernobyl Colorized.jfif
  6. Please try not to spoil if you can help it, but I've been playing since Early access (~200 hours) and pretty well versed in how this game works, but I can't get to the chambers in Atrox. They are just floating in the sky. NO other planet is doing this. I know Atrox is hard difficulty, but I've tried using dual thrusters to get to the chambers, I've tried using a space shuttle and ramps but these guys are super super high and I'm beginning to think they are bugged. Which really sucks because I don't want to start a new world. See picture attachment and without spoiling it let me know if this is bugged and the world is glitched or not. Every chamber is like this
