    Missing suit?

Hi. Wasn't there some additional suit or color or something if you bought the game early? There was sonething in the patchnotes about it? I got it at launch on game preview but I have the same 4 suits as my friend who started to play yesterday. 🤔
  2. What happened to these graphical features making it into the game? I’m talking about how the ice looks in the ground as you mine it, how it’s embedded and looks shinier and has a different color than the surrounding soil. I thought these looked awesome and you should add them back once the game is fully stable And bug-free
  3. 1.0 is not a Full release in technical analysis. Still love the update though. (Amazing additions, and I understand the "Bug/Code" business, don't get me wrong.) Let us begin with Coder/Developer technical definitions, so none are misled by this common label language: Beta: Beta phase generally begins when the software is feature complete but likely to contain a number of known or unknown bugs.[4] Software in the beta phase will generally have many more bugs in it than completed software, speed or performance issues, and may still cause crashes or data loss. The focus of beta testing is reducing impacts to users, often incorporating usability testing. The process of delivering a beta version to the users is called beta release and this is typically the first time that the software is available outside of the organization that developed it. Beta version software is often useful for demonstrations and previews within an organization and to prospective customers. Some developers refer to this stage as a preview, preview release, prototype, technical preview / technology preview (TP),[5] or early access. Astroneer in my opinion, is still deep in Beta zone. On the Edge of Escaping the Dark Forest, but not quite there~ WHY? What do I base this on? - Functionality to a "Regular Gamer" - Universal definitions used by developers, coders AND gamers (See Beta Definition ABOVE.) - vehicles still phase through the ground - Objects still phase through ground or vanish - Multiplayer is impossible on lag - Solo game lags hard once the terrain has been altered - Objects and tools will clip through terrain - (New issue) Double visioned object ghosts. Seeing duplicates of objects or their name labels, floating in mirror image away from the tagged object. Losing interactions. - The new "Hold Item" has no release or place function. - Still have not fixed BEACON visibility from distances - This in my opinion is the last bag of fixes for this game to be complete. So to a degree, this is pretty darned complete for any game ramping up. But I have to say these have to be fixed so the common player does not encounter these issues, and thus give Astroneer a bad running name as garbage, when it deserves more! We want new NON Alpha-Beta players to not get the wrong idea, seeing Astroneer tagged a complete game, when it is on the back end of Beta-- so it does not get a bad label and name in the judging gamer community as trash. Save Astroneers good game & Name! UPDATE! This post is not a BUG report, it is a REQUEST to TAG the game as BETA- so NON BETA players do not come in, and bad mouth the Project. Plain and simple. (cc: Official Forums, Astroneer Wiki, Message Blog) Please Obi-wan, you're our only Hope! I hope someone actually reads this and takes it to heart. You are not the Size company that can handle a ton of negative publicity in the game community. "Normal Gamers" are judgemental, opinionated & fickle, about the wrong things. Be warned. Your inviting them to spend their money.
  4. This is a simple suggestion. Add a button (or hotkey) that hard-resets the open module. Essentially delete all items on the module, delete the module, and re-create the module, as if it was freshly placed. The benefits of this is it would allow us to reset batteries, shredders, chemistry stations, or any other module manually when it dicks over. The latter two are particularly prone to jamming.
  5. I found a tether in a cave. When moving it back closer to my own tethers to use it, it connected at a high, close to vertical angle, through the cave wall. When I dropped the tether it showed no oxygen hose, but did provide me with oxygen. It was close to other tethers I'd dropped, but I couldn't see it being connected to them, and didn't think the ones in the cave above were close enough to connect. I've posted a video with this bug name to my profile. https://account.xbox.com/en-au/Profile?GamerTag=WizardSleeve555
  6. I accidentally printed something with (A) button, and then quickly tried to stop it again with (A) button. This worked, in a sense. I got my Compound back in full and nothing it being printed. But the printing sound is still on and the 2 bars of energy I lost aren't regenerating. I then tried printing something else. It printed, the printing sound stopped, but now my backpack energy isn't regenerating at all. Videos here: https://account.xbox.com/en-au/Profile?GamerTag=WizardSleeve555
  7. If I try to collect a a resource when my backpack is full by picking it up with RT then pressing X to drop it into my backpack, it says the backpack is full, but then the resource is just left on the map, on its side, and uncollectable. It is then stuck in this positing and does not have a selection ring around it. I have seen this happen 3 times from memory I think you can see them in my profile. I've Shared them with the bug name: https://account.xbox.com/en-AU/Profile?xr=mebarnav The screenshot shows exactly what I mean, with the Compound stuck on its side above a platform slot. I can still add other items to that same slot. Actually I just went to try again after saving last night, turning the game off, then starting a game again today and now I CAN collect the Compound. I'm sure I couldn't last night but didn't capture a video unfortunately. You can also see a similar example with a small solar panel in the video on my profile above. Note that I thought to go and check if I can collect it now, but it no longer seems to exist anywhere. If I see it again I'll provide more evidence.

    Odd rover behaviour

After playing for a few hours the rover started to display odd behaviour. First the small solar I had attached to the front of my rover decided that it wanted to be in my back pack when astroneer was sat in the rover. The animation would cycle around the solar being attached to the rover node and moving to my backpack. When I jumped out of the rover the solar would become detached. You can see it mid-flight in the image below. A few minutes later, stranger behaviour again. The rover started to buck when I exited, something I've seen before but not for some time. Then, when entering the rover the front-end embedded itself in the floor. Don't know whether this helps, but I was attempting to circumnavigate the planet.
  11. I really don't like the new patch, waiting for bytes? Come on i want to play not to wait hours exploring while my base farm bytes to unlock new things... Am i the only one or someone else dislike this?

    Alpha Build Discount

I am enjoying the Pre Alpha build of the game. I really hope when the full retail version is released those that paid for the pre alpha build at least get a discount when buying the final version. Even 5-$10 off would be a great way to show you appreciated the support of those that bought the Alpha builds. I know I would be more likely to buy it. -Thanks
  13. Item number one: There are some areas of the map where I just fall into the ground and float around for like 30 seconds. Though it does reset my position, still happens quite frequently. Item number two: Not a whole lot of guidance as far as how to play. Not sure if that is by design or not but it is a bit confusing when you first start playing on the console version.

    Terrain Textures bug.

After my first venture beyond my original Hab. I returned to half of it covered by what looked like land. I could walk through I but I couldn't see my base components or supplies. Attempts to extend the base started tunneling the platforms deeper and deeper into the ground. After leaving further than the computer could render and returning again the issue was fixed. About 50% change this happens every time it re-generates the terrain.
