  1. I Have been Playing on the xbox one for a few hours now. (5-6 give or take) Well this is and amazing game that has lots potential. With the play time that I have I thought I would Post some feedback. BUGS - some of my items glitch through the ground resulting in me digging down to get them. Not that bad but a bug none the less. - Frame rate issues but thats to be expected -Sandstorm rocks going through the ground hurting me Things I Think That Could Improve the Game - Fewer Sandstorms. Not sure if its the planet im on or just the game but it seems every 5-10 minutes there is one I feel as if it should be pushed to 20-30 minutes. - Easier way to delete worlds on Xbox One Maybe PC not sure - Pausing Actually freezes the game I know this is an online mode so perhaps a Single player and Multiplayer modes sorta how Minecraft does it - Hostile and Passive monsters to give the world more lively - Better Controller support. as of right now the controls feel very clunky. I dont know how to fix this because I cant quite explain it but anyone whos played the Xbox version knows what im talking about. - A way to destroy the huge plants I think there tree. I destroyed the ground and the tree fell and I have to way to move it so its in my way. These are my thoughts on the game overall like said great game. Im not sure maybe some if these features actually exist and if they do im sorry just haven't found them yet. - oYeti

    Bugs on Xbox One

    Hello, Devs. First off I'd like to say that I love your game! I have been playing since it came out on my Xbox and I truly love it. While playing I wrote down a whole page full of bugs so hopefully you guys see this since I spent a lot of time looking for them. FPS is bad. At this point on the end of day two of playing the game, it's almost unplayable with how bad the FPS drops get. I'd like to note that I have great internet and have the new Xbox One Slim so that's not the issue. Rendering time when discovering new land or worlds. Floating blocks of ore that can be hard to mine or you can't mine. Difficult to run and move the screen when walking/running with picked up objects, such as unknown research blocks. Vehicles glitch out and become almost inoperable after loading the game. Wish there was a way to flip the vehicle whenever it does this. So far I've had this problem with the shuttle and spaceship. I had a fully stocked truck and used it once. When I returned it back to the base I hooked it up to the charging station. I saved and came back later that day and my truck was gone, nowhere to be seen. Used a lot of resources on this truck, oh well. Recently I made a spaceship and flew to all the worlds. While I flew from the arid planet to the moon the charging cord from the base on the arid planet traveled with me. There was no way to disconnect it when I arrived at the moon. So now I have a cable going from the arid planet to wherever my spaceship goes. (this is funny but it also may be an FPS problem) Last but not least, the crane controls suck. I controlled the crane while on the top of my spaceship and gosh, I couldn't control it. Maybe make it a little bit easier or have a hint saying on how to operate it. So out of these two days of playing this game on Xbox One, I loved it, but as you can see I came along many bugs, some almost game breaking. I still love this game, just posting this so hopefully you can fix it. Thank you so much devs, you're awesome!!

  5. So, me and my dad were playing this game on Xbox one. We are on the same network. He invites me to his game and I click join. The game boots up, goes through the planet loading screen, but when it goes to the note from the team, and then it freezes while making weird noises (like "ererererrrrrererrrerrrr") and exits. I have tried hard rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  6. • starting having bad frame rate issues when I got to about 6 facilities in my base and the issues would persist in general area around base • if you build or add ground directly below you, you will fall through the ground and start an endless fall animation • having 20 to 25 resource bundles near player will cause frame rate issues • attaching a truck to another vehicle will cause major frame rate drops • getting out of a moving vehicle will lock you inside the vehicle model making you unable to move until you get in and out again •getting out vehicle on previously dug up ground causes frame rate drops or you fall through the ground •areas where you have dug up or added ground will cause frame rate drops when it is done on a larger scale • tethers will randomly disappear on the surface and underground •putting resources on backpack will cause the resource to rapidly attach and unattach making you unable to store item until it is dropped then picked up again •building shuttle with 2 seats makes it unusable with no way to take off a seat or be able to add a habitat module •grass will continue to grow on ground level from spot that had been previously dug out •large boulders in caves will freeze in mid air when dug around them •small crevices where ground was dug up then re added will cause you to fall through the floor if caught in the small open space All items previously listed happened on a tundra planet with an Xbox controller on Xbox one • major frame rate drops occurred when leaving and getting into orbit and rotating the screen while in orbit via shuttle •low frame rates while on tropical planet from the moment you land the game seems to slow down a lot and the grass will pop in and out

    Xbox Bugs I've found

    1. FPS drop when using truck near teathers (1-2fps). 2. When using building tool if you get stuck under rocks you can fall through the planet. 3. Multi-player: if the host sets down teathers the 2nd player can't touch them or else they get disconnected.

    Congratulations on launching!

    I wanted to post and congratulate the System ERA team on a successful launch for Astroneer! Myself and a few friends have been waiting for release day, and we've really been enjoying the game. I see a strong future for this game, and being a software developer myself, I know getting to production is no easy task. Congratulations, and happy holidays!

    Xbox One - Bugs Found

    Morning all, So bugs on the Xbox I have found so far: * Tethers slow the game significantly - sometimes causing crashes * Vehicles slow the game significantly - sometimes causing crashes * When SpaceShip has been built from and you go back into orbit and land on another planet, you cannot seem to build on the spaceship again so exploration becomes difficult. * Framerate drops when a lot of foliage is on screen. Game is very good considering Pre Alpha! really enjoying it! Ten
  11. 1. Getting Stuck in second stage platform while I'm too close( temp fix don't be near it) 2. When player crashes joining a multiplayer game and he/she crashes before the ship lands the habitat pod stays and will stack if multiple chrash happen consequtive. 3. Unminable ground with ores in it found this on Xbox and Pc can mine around it and it makes a big square 4. hooking a trailer to buggy traler gets caught and sling shots you around, to the point i was launch into space( which was pretty funny) 5. landing a shuttle on a ship because my friend built a ship base while i was away cause them to spas out( eventully fixing themselfs 6.   12. Controller Xbox What were you doing leading up to this bug: When I place my tethers down, my party members (non-host players) are unable to connect his/her tether with mine. I can pick theirs up and connect with mine. Basically, they cant connect with my tether (hosts tether) 4. Any steps that we can take to reproduce the bug on our end is appreciated. Have host place tether down, and see if non-host player can connect their personal tether to the host's P.S. Willing to upload a brief video of the bug.

    Various issues/bugs

    Game is a blast, so thanks for the work that has been done so far on it. All of these bugs have been encountered on Xbox One. I played for a few hours when it launched and then I reloaded into my save today. Frame rate is a major issue that I've ran into thus far. The game remains playable to a certain extent. I'm not sure what is causing the issue as it just kinda happens and never really goes away. I haven't tried to reset the xbox or anything to see if that makes the issue go away for a period of time. Might try that later. The ROVER...oh boy lol. This thing is buggy beyond belief. As soon as I get in the Rover(one seat attached) the game drops to a very very low frame rate. Almost completely frozen at times. I managed to get it running smoothly once with a storage rack attached(square 8 one). Attaching things to the Rover really seems to mess things up. The storage rack doesn't let you take individual things off the rack while its on the rover. You have to take the rack off and then take the stuff off...put the rack back on the rover...you get it. Today I researched the crane attachment. I had no idea there was a truck, by the way. I built the crane attachment and stuck it on the rover. Bad idea. The crane cannot be taken off the rover now. I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm also not sure exactly how you control the crane as it just kinda spins around with no input from the controller. The rover also flies around while attached to the vehicle bay arm. I've seen this on multiple occasions while walking back to the base. Tethers separate themselves all the time. They still light up too like they are still attached. You can really tell this game was designed for KB/M. The control scheme on the controller is fine don't get me wrong. The analog inputs need some fine tuning. I'm not sure if this goes along with the constant frame rate issues or not. The mining vaccum tool is very clunky to use. The camera sometimes keeps turning after you've stopped touching the analog stick. Got stuck in a small hole. My character started to make a motion like he was floating and then I fell through the map and died who knows where lol It would be nice to be able to shift the pods(printer, smelter, etc..) around. I built a second Vehicle bay since I can't use the one that has my broken rover crane. Then I built a battery and attached it to a 2 hole base. It is now stuck in the vehicle bay. The battery and the vehicle bay still work it just looks really stupid. I built a second habitat. After a failed attempt at driving it somewhere with the rover, I set it on the ground back at my base and hit the button to deploy it(didn't know that's what that button did). Now I have 2 habitats sittings kinda stuck together. Wish I could move the second one out of the way. The pods kinda build at whatever depth they feel like. I'm having a blast. Hope there is a frame rate issue patch coming soon as it's really the only major issue.....minus the Rover....please fix the Rover lol
  15. I noticed that the "report a bug" page is being filled with a bunch of issues from both platforms of the game. I think there should be two different areas for Xbox and PC. It would make reading through bugs are trying to help that much easier for Administrators and for Users. Thoughts?
  16. The main menu looks great, but is surprisingly very difficult to use. It's difficult to see which menu item is highlighted, often leading to a mis-launch of a new player Difficult to disambiguate between saved player slots (no character model is shown inside the capsule) Navigation past left/right does not spin the craft. The game requires me to actually press a left/right button, seems very counter-intuitive. The white glyph is hard to see on light green Platform: Xbox One, 10.0.14393.2152

I find myself spending a lot of time rotating and mashing buttons when using the backpack, either because it's not clear how to close it (naturally want to hit B) or it's in the way of some important 2D UI element. Something as fundamental as the backpack really needs to be easy to get in and out of. I don't think we're quite there yet! Platform: Xbox One, 10.0.14393.2152

    Some Bugs I found so far

    So, first off, great Game! secondly, i bought this game for coop, and this is when the bugs i found occur. When youre the host, then your cursor disappears the moment your client joins the game, which makes the inventory management harder. Then, after a few structures have been built (like about half an hour play time), the hosts fps are dropping like crazy, going so far that you don´t have any moving pictures for a few seconds. then, lastly, a little bug that only happens as a client, you can´t correctly place any tethers, meaning you can put them down, but they won´t get a connection to other tethers or your home base. If you can fix these bugs, than it´s an awesome game, great work devs!

    Foliage hides 2D UI elements

  21. When your backpack is facing the sun, all the items get washed out. It's realistic, sure, but at the slight expense of usability of the backpack UI. Platform: Xbox One, 10.0.14393.2152
  22. I extended from my original point, walked away, and came back to this geometry created at the extension point, making interaction with that node difficult. Restart of the game resolved it. Platform: Xbox One, 10.0.14393.2152

    Sudden framerate drops

    I was playing the trail just to make sure I really am in love with this game (and i am) but sometimes for no reason at all the framerate drops to an estimated 10 fps. also the graphics get a bit hazy at this time. The first time it happened it was for more than 10 seconds, but the second time it was only for about 5.

    Frame rate issue

    After playing this game for a good few hours I can say that the devs have made an outstanding game, the feel of exploring planets and shaping them in anyway is great. One of the biggest issues for me is the frame rate, after playing the game for a while and having a large base, the frames do defiantly slow down it mainly happens when either going to a place with a lot of resources or when simply just going into my base so if the frame rate issue is sorted it would be great. I do know that the game is in Pre-Alpha so they are certainly going to fix bugs and issues im sure and it being on xbox I know there is only so much it can take.
