    Multiplayer XBOX ONE bugs

    When loading multiplayer the game constantly crashes. I lost sound and there were several graphical glitches. Multiplayer is practically unplayable.
  2. I keep having this problem, where my tethers keep disconnecting themselves. And it won't be near me, but usually next to my home base.
  3. As the title states, everytime me or a buddy joins eachother on the Xbox one, the hosts cursor disappears completely.
  4. While attempting to play multiple Co-Op games with a friend on Xbox One, after loading into the game the host would only be able to craft one item and then after returning to the backpack- would no longer be able to use the cursor to select anything in the backpack. Note the player can also see the cursor is behind/detached from the backpack. At this point the host can only pick up tethers and place them, while the client can do everything except place tethers that connect(host has to pick them up and place them again for them to connect). The issue occurred every time we successfully joined a game and occurred with both players as a host in multiple new games. My first guess would be my better internet was not playing nice with his. I did not see anything about this issue when searching the forum. If this hasn't been addressed or if you need more info i will gladly attempt a repro and get a screenshot/video with steps to reproduce asap. Oh and another note, I have not tried coop with anyone else yet. Thanks! Jake

I been playing this game for a couple hours and its great but found some bugs that sometimes makes the game unplayable. 1- Frame-Rate is awful, sometimes it makes the game completely unplayable. 2- Inventory items hanging in the air 3-Game crashes when loading certain save (i had to start a new game for this reason) 4- after coming from the moon my vehicles and inventory left on the planet disappeared (later found them glitching inside a cave) 5-game crashes when building a crane The most important for me that need to be fix is the frame rate it is really annoying.

    I've got the XBOX ONE S and have discovered these bugs so far: Had a few crashes camera issues causing me to die, especially when filling in environments items remaining suspended in the air backpack items floating at a slight distance behind on one occasion tethers not connecting properly tether appearing disconnected when it's not cant rebuild base instructions are basic cant delete saves

    Hello my self and a friend attempted to play astronomer with a 40/60 success rate (joining game/game crashing) the only way it would work is if a player stats a new game and invites the other player at start any thing after about 5 minuets of play time it will just crash hosts game when it dose work the host will have no interaction cursor when in backpack but only if in multiplayer single is fine. This can be bypassed by holding the LT button before entering backpack. I have only tested with 2 players i will conduct more tests with 4 at a later date.
  8. I put a wind turbine on top of the habitat. As it turns out, it doesn't go there, but Xbox lag made it seem like there was a slot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Then I couldn't select it to move it to a usable location. You can see how ashamed my Astroneer felt about this whole mess. At some point, I hopped in the habitat and realized the wind turbine was selected! And I was then able to grab it and take it down.
  9. Controller Xbox I was attempting to rotate the connector end to a reasonable place for extension/build. With lag + wonky xbox controls, I was having trouble but thought I got it where I wanted, so I clicked the right trigger. It built the pad partway on another pad instead. Not sure yet what would happen if I added resin to all the slots to make the modules with it like that (was too laggy to continue playing).
  10. Basically the stuff that was surrounding my landing site started appearing on my printer, etc. Maybe this is supposed to happen, but I don't know of a way to remove it. Controller Xbox Went exploring and came back to... this.
  11. When looking at a poison plant (either aggressive or neutral) without your terrain gun out, you are able to move your cursor below the plant and grab and extract the research item from the ground without destroying any of the surrounding terrain or flora. Very repeatable.

In addition to the FPS reduction while entering/exiting the vehicle (something that persisted after I left it) I also noticed that the modules held in my backpack were now floating slightly behind the astronaut. See screens below: I let the game sit while taking and uploading this shot - eventually it froze up entirely and crashed.
  13. We have been trying for a couple days to start a multiplayer game on Xbox one. We both have the game, and are friends on Xbox. We have tried while in a party and without a party. Invite is sent and accepted, and the game starts to load. On the "this is a pre-alpha version" screen it will continue to load for several minutes, then the music and spinning circle will stop for a minute or two, then resume. After another minute or so it will allow pressing A to continue. Then it just loads the menu to start a new game as if no invitation was used. Inviting player is in the game when sending the invite. Receiving player has tried being in or out of the game, and has tried just joining off the friend's list as well.
  14. My game freezes/lag spikes every time I enter a rover. Please fix this, I can only walk to places making the game play so slow

    Xbox bug list

    Firstly, let me say I got the game yesterday and haven't enjoyed anything this much in a long time. Good work so far! I played the game for several hours in both single and multiplayer on the Xbox with both parties using the controller. A few issues that we came across: In multiplayer only the host can place working tethers. The second player can place them but they will not connect to base or existing tethers. Limits co-op play considerably. There are a lot of texture joining issues on the planet surface which allow in some cases the player to drop through or get stuck. Tether lines tend to break randomly after extending for a distance. The host has cursor control issues when in multiplayer trying to access inventory. (Fixed by holding LT to zoom/target initially before accessing backpack) Building terrain underneath your character often causes you to fall through it, especially if you collide with something above as you rise. Attempting to build a storage unit in the vehicle bay crashes the game. Loading a save game places your inventory items floating behind your backpack. Pickup and replace fixes. Massive FPS spikes seem to be caused by the camera trying to pan through terrain if you turn with the camera in a confined space. There is no way of deleting individual save games on the Xbox, and it's too easy to create a new launch by accident if you are scrolling through the pods. (Once the option of left disappears the focus automatically switches to launch so one extra button press...) When you die sometimes you respawn below the planet surface. Adding terrain beneath or near to your collected items will also cause them to drop through the surface. I know some of these issues are reported elsewhere but I thought I'd list all of the initial finds I came across in one post for convenience. Looking forward to the updates and to see what direction this game goes in! Ri99erz.
  17. Snap function: The snap function is really bugged on xbox, sometimes it works, sometimes not. It can suddenly stop working. Sometimes reloading game works. Need some major work on. Adding save/load would make life easier not only when playing but when trying to figure out functions in the game, and trying to recreate bugs to see how it works to give you better feedback. Snap function: When building a base, if you want to build another base from it, you need to aim and hook it up, be cause the snap function is still working but back at the original platform/shuttle. Teethers: Will connect and show line on main platform, but will not show line on the extended bases and platforms, and will only connect at certain angles. (look at next sentence for angle) Teethers: Internal tethers on bases and platforms do not work properly. can't stand in front on platforms, only works from the back and about midways on the sides. Teethers: Major lag/fps drop when driving a rover connected to the teethers. Teethers: Removing a teether from a line, not being the last teether in the line will create lag. Teethers: Watched you're streams, and if you picked up the teethers and dropped on yourself, you get said teether back. Now it gets deleted. Do not know if this is a new function or bug. Base: If you want to upgrade it put 2 resins on it, if you put any other items on it like a research item, compunds, the visual representation off resins on it will disappear and no longer show if you remove said items. Visuall backpack: Loading games creates a strange visual bug with the items on the backpack. They are not connected to the backpack instead they are floating in the air like 30cm behind you. Rover deleted: Was standing with me back to the rover harvesting compound. Turned around only to find me rover missing. Could see the marker for it on me way back to camp. but it disappeared once I got close and the rover was still no where to be found. Kinda looked like at one point that the marked showed the rover to be underground. but no cave entrances close by. Improvements: Zoom/aim: When aiming you can't look past certain angles, looking in trees or high boulders for research items would be a lot easier if you did not have a limit on where you could aim/look. Now I need to go close to trees and boulders and hope the snap function works and finds it for me. Snap function: Resin snaps in place on platform/base, but only when hovering close to it with the resin, and makes you´re toon look in an downwards angle. I have read here on the forum that the angle you look at when placing the resin on the base decide what level the base builds out on? Think I confirmed that with adding some "dirt" infront off where the base is extending so it does not go to much down. Adding a better snaping function more like the "normal" snap function in game for bases would help out a lot, or when it first snap at place like it does now it will be stuck until you press the "back" button, so you can change the angle you look at without it unsnapping. Maybe adding a option where you can either a: chose where to place it yourself, like you did on one of you're streams.. b: Having an option to choose 1 of 3 options. 0, +45, -45 angle. Platform: If a base is upgraded to a platform you can no longer extend from it. Makes sense not being able to extend it on the sides. but being able to extend from the front should work. or being able to delete platforms, get 50% items back. can't build the base how you want to now. you need to plan it out before you start building. or make a new shuttle somewhere if you mess up and upgrade all bases. Will continue to write in this post If I encounter more bugs
  18. Played a multiplayer game tonight with 2 other players, and when they joined my game they could use my tethers for air, but if they placed tethers of their own they wouldn't connect and supply oxygen. If I picked up the tethers they placed and put them back down again the line would connect.
  19. When other people join my game on Xbox one I can't interact with my backpack correctly. Pressing Y opens the backpack and I can view the contents, but there is no aiming reticle to let me pick or place things in the backpack, or create items. To get the pack to work correctly I instead have to use Left Trigger to target myself, and then click Right Trigger. The pack will open and work as expected.
  20. Trucks glitch out and create a random link from its trailer spot. When I saved and exited to try and restart the game, it crashed upon trying to reload it. The world save still shows up, but the game now crashes every time I try to reload the world. This is on Xbox and has happened on two different worlds now.
  21. I Have been Playing on the xbox one for a few hours now. (5-6 give or take) Well this is and amazing game that has lots potential. With the play time that I have I thought I would Post some feedback. BUGS - some of my items glitch through the ground resulting in me digging down to get them. Not that bad but a bug none the less. - Frame rate issues but thats to be expected -Sandstorm rocks going through the ground hurting me Things I Think That Could Improve the Game - Fewer Sandstorms. Not sure if its the planet im on or just the game but it seems every 5-10 minutes there is one I feel as if it should be pushed to 20-30 minutes. - Easier way to delete worlds on Xbox One Maybe PC not sure - Pausing Actually freezes the game I know this is an online mode so perhaps a Single player and Multiplayer modes sorta how Minecraft does it - Hostile and Passive monsters to give the world more lively - Better Controller support. as of right now the controls feel very clunky. I dont know how to fix this because I cant quite explain it but anyone whos played the Xbox version knows what im talking about. - A way to destroy the huge plants I think there tree. I destroyed the ground and the tree fell and I have to way to move it so its in my way. These are my thoughts on the game overall like said great game. Im not sure maybe some if these features actually exist and if they do im sorry just haven't found them yet. - oYeti

    Bugs on Xbox One

    Hello, Devs. First off I'd like to say that I love your game! I have been playing since it came out on my Xbox and I truly love it. While playing I wrote down a whole page full of bugs so hopefully you guys see this since I spent a lot of time looking for them. FPS is bad. At this point on the end of day two of playing the game, it's almost unplayable with how bad the FPS drops get. I'd like to note that I have great internet and have the new Xbox One Slim so that's not the issue. Rendering time when discovering new land or worlds. Floating blocks of ore that can be hard to mine or you can't mine. Difficult to run and move the screen when walking/running with picked up objects, such as unknown research blocks. Vehicles glitch out and become almost inoperable after loading the game. Wish there was a way to flip the vehicle whenever it does this. So far I've had this problem with the shuttle and spaceship. I had a fully stocked truck and used it once. When I returned it back to the base I hooked it up to the charging station. I saved and came back later that day and my truck was gone, nowhere to be seen. Used a lot of resources on this truck, oh well. Recently I made a spaceship and flew to all the worlds. While I flew from the arid planet to the moon the charging cord from the base on the arid planet traveled with me. There was no way to disconnect it when I arrived at the moon. So now I have a cable going from the arid planet to wherever my spaceship goes. (this is funny but it also may be an FPS problem) Last but not least, the crane controls suck. I controlled the crane while on the top of my spaceship and gosh, I couldn't control it. Maybe make it a little bit easier or have a hint saying on how to operate it. So out of these two days of playing this game on Xbox One, I loved it, but as you can see I came along many bugs, some almost game breaking. I still love this game, just posting this so hopefully you can fix it. Thank you so much devs, you're awesome!!

  25. So, me and my dad were playing this game on Xbox one. We are on the same network. He invites me to his game and I click join. The game boots up, goes through the planet loading screen, but when it goes to the note from the team, and then it freezes while making weird noises (like "ererererrrrrererrrerrrr") and exits. I have tried hard rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks!
