  1. While Driving my rover on the Xbox One edition, I hit a bump and my rover decided to just not fall back down to the surface. Then I hopped out of the rover and took no damage as I hit the surface. My rover had just one open seat and me on it at the time. I have Windows Astroneer as well, but I haven't noticed this bug on the windows version.

    Cross-play issue

    Hello, I have an issue with multiplayer crossplay, from pc using win10 version (NOT steam) to Xbox One friends. After the tiny patch finxing "no sound" on Xbox, I can't play from my PC with my friends on Xbox. Thanks for your help !
  3. I was playing on my completely fresh world on Xbox one. I was driving with my rover and if I drove onto a hill or over a rock, the rover would start rolling around while ascending. After a couple of seconds, it would stop and just hover in the air at the approximate height of a mountain peak. If I jumped out, it would stay in position but I still died from the fall, but if I got close to it later on, it would suddenly update and fall to the ground.
  4. Hey there! Been playing this game for a while and I'm absolutely loving it by the way. I currently play on Xbox One and I encountered a bug. I had just loaded the game, and jumped in my rover to visit my favorite cave and I hit a bump and instead of gravity doing its thing, I just kept ascending. The video attached shows the beginning of the bug. The rover is now stuck in the atmosphere and will not come down. I was able to jump out (thinking I would die on impact) and somehow did not suffer any damage from the fall. Not exactly sure how you could replicate it, but it did start to happen to my second rover but I was able to jump out from the very beginning of the rover going out of control and it fell back to the ground with me.     Astroneer's Pre-Alpha Early Access version has just been updated to 0.3.10182.0 (Patch "182"). Steam 'Early Access' users will receive this update immediately. Xbox 'Play Anywhere' players can expect this patch to hit their consoles or Windows 10 machines in the next 48 hours. This patch primarily focuses on a number of user-reported bugs and issues for Astroneer's pre-alpha. The team would like to thank everyone who is supporting Astroneer this early on and especially to those sharing bugs, crashes, ideas, and stories with us and the rest of the community. Next week Veronica will share and discuss updates coming to the road map of Astroneer's development. Our team has nearly doubled in size since we launched on early access back in December '16. Since our team has grown so much we wanted to ensure the Road Map best reflected our teams goals and we can't wait to share that with you. UPDATES You can find these updates in 182, the current build of the game. [AS-1018] - Steam now automatically uploads crash logs. [AS-1078] - Backpack visual design has been updated and new animations applied. [AS-1080] - Item names have been updated to better reflect their size. (e.g. Medium Rover, Large Rover, etc.). Fix an issue where player color differentiation did not persist after loading a saved game. Gas bags in caves now despawn after being destroyed.

    vehicle lost in space

    logged in and played for an hour or so after the most recent update patch 0.3.10182.0 first thing I did was try to drive to a distant mining site. I hit one bump and I was launched into orbit. I waited to see if I may land back on the surface after about 10 minutes of steadily increasing height I decided to push "X" and exit the vehicle. I feel and thought for certain I would die...but ... I fell through the world and continued to fall passing rare minerals until I eventually died and restarted at home base. only noticeable glitch since patch. I did not rebuild another ground vehicle due to lack of compound.

Well, I like the game so here is my feedback for you. Before I tell you how I felt during my 10 hours (11 if you count the demo) in the beautiful world of Astroneer, let me introduce myself. Expect there is a way to save game files on console. If so, please let me know. I might have done a few typos. If you find any, keep it.     Astroneer's Pre-Alpha Early Access version has just been updated to 0.3.10158.0 (Patch "158"). Steam 'Early Access' users will receive this update immediately. Xbox 'Play Anywhere' players please allow up to 48 hours for the patch to hit your console or Windows 10 machine. This patch introduces a number of fixes for existing bugs in the game, including some priority fixes for the games recently updated Research Curve. Additionally, Astroneer now supports Turkish language, Hydrazine canisters are now explosive, and a few other minor updates. UPDATES The follow updates have been applied to the game. [AS-939] - Hydrazine can explode! [AS-1011] - Gas hazards now despawn after being uncovered from terrain. [AS-1041] - Improved research curve. Chests of the same type can now be re-researched. (This resolves an issue where some players might never see certain unlocks) [AS-1042] - Add Turkish language to the build. [AS-1063] - Add Early Accesss/Pre-alpha + Build # to on-screen overlay. FIXES The following bugs are now fixed. [AS-450] - Fixed an issue causing the occurrence of visible seams in terrain in MP or after save load. [AS-935] - Improve rover stability in MP so they no longer unrecoverably fly apart. [AS-979] - Most rocks now despawn after being dug up.   10. Summary: 155 - Xbox - Energy sometimes doesn't work at all Description: When I collect enough energy to create a (package?) item of energy (not sure how it's called), it goes into my inventory. Sometimes they work, provide power to my base, rover or my character. Other times, like now, they just don't work at all. Now I have 2 energy packages in my inventory, they must be at around 80%, they are not working at all, so I have to throw them away. My character has no energy, I attach the energy items to him but still nothing changes. Platform: Steam / XBox One / Windows 10 Store Version / Build Number: 155 / 0.3.10155.0 Specifications: N/A (Xbox One)
  11. Currently the game handles multiple profiles being signed into the same console very strangely. Instead of verifying which profile to use or using the profile already assigned to the controller, it counts each group of profiles as if it were a separate profile. For example: I am playing the game and my son is watching. We are both signed in. The game saves files under both profiles and requires both to be signed in to access them, so if I want to play that save and my son is not around it will look like it has vanished. (until we are both signed in again). If my other son is watching instead that is a whole different set of save games. Today I found out it gets better: Say I am playing and the game crashes. While I was mid-session my son sat down to watch. Once we are back at the dashboard the Kinect signs him in (for probably related reasons Astroneer blocks Kinect sign-ins while it is running). I load the game again... and my controller doesn't work because it was assigned to me (alone) but now my signed-in "profile" is me + the kid. I know this issue can't be affecting too many people (or is it? I see a lot of "disappearing/reappearing save files" post), but it is a super-annoying basic functionality issue.

    Held items falling through world

    On my current save I have had a couple issues with items being held with the cursor falling into the world and becoming irretrievable. They have been small items (metal resources, a terrain analyzer full of hard to reach color) and large items (a research pod, my only 1-seat while far from base on a rover). To the best of my understanding, I had not actually released any of these items intentionally.
  13. So I had the unfortunate experience of losing internet access for numerous days. Figured I'd pass the time by working through 158 and the new updates! All going well, saving operations were seemingly normal. However, none of my saves would appear in the menu. The saves were definitely showing in my Windows profile & AppData as expected with new timestamps. Turns out, I wasn't signed into the Xbox app as normally happens, as I was without internet. The root problem is, that unlike the Xbox, Windows won't let you sign in whilst offline. That causes problems if your choice of game (i.e. Astroneer) requires an active Xbox Live account for save syncing... I didn't get any prompt upon Astroneer start-up to sign in, as normally happens, so I didn't realise what was going on until I separately opened the Xbox app where I realised the problem. Is it possible to have saved games still accessible without being signed in? I.E. can Astroneer pull a UserProfile string independent of the Xbox Live service, and from Windows instead? Obviously, the save itself is still present and accessible on the current Windows account. I dunno what the equivalent process is for an offline Xbox. If the fault lies with the Xbox app's inability to sign in whilst offline, I have no problem with that as the outcome, but the devs have my full support in flagging this with Microsoft for fixing! P.S. I'm aware this is not a high priority bug, for a game that basically mandates a connection for regular updates and multiplayer aspects. But being an edge case, I figured it should be highlighted to the devs to be aware of.

    Double-Dying in 158

    Playing on Xbox this morning and taking a couple risks that lead my astroneer to death. When I respawned at my base, I immediately died again. The first time I had died due to storm damage and I thought maybe I had just been really unlucky and taken a cube to the head as I reappeared (dirty spawn campers). The second death was from fall damage and once I respawned it played the whole death animation again.
  15. have noticed after update (0.3.10158.0 on XBONE) that the terrain is slow to load in game causing vehicle (rover and truck) to get dead stop once obstacle loads in front of vehicle. have had this issue actually crash game at times. was able to duplicate problem on new game, uninstalled and reinstalled game completely, again on previous save, and on new game again. also issue with solar panels not charging when loading save. have to detach and reattach to get charging again. other than that, keep up the good work guys! love this game and enjoy being a part of its evolution.

    build: 0.2.10131.0 xbox one game saves disappear haven't played astroneer for a few days, so today all my game saves were gone. as reported here before this is an on going thing. temporary solution: uninstall astroneer. complete shut down of xbox (may not be needed). install astroneer. game saves are now present hope this is helpful
  17. Patch "155 - Hotfix" is now live on Steam. Xbox 'Play Anywhere' players should expect this patch late this week. This update addresses a priority bug that caused previously unlocked item blueprints to be unavailable for Printing. Users playing from Save Games should now expect to see all previously unlocked item blueprints available for Printing where applicable (Backpack Printer, Medium Printer, Vehicle Bay). FIXES Bug: Fix previously unlocked item blueprints not being Printable. Bug: Power Cells not appearing in the Backpack Printer after being unlocked from Researching an item.
  18. I am a big believer in practical learning, to work out how things work by doing. But being new to Astroneer and have to say, the lack of item/gadget/mod description is frustrating. It has probably been suggested already, but being new to the game and these forums, I wanted to put this out there. Even if items crafted could have a description to explain their use such as Terrain Tool Mods, this would go a long way into making the game more immersive rather than having to leave the game to Google what a newly research item is and how to use it. Hi, first off I only started playing/streaming Astroneer yesterday but already and sadly to report, have a list of issues I have encountered since then. 1) Crashes - After just 1hr of play the game will hard crash to X1 Dashboard. Normally the symptoms just before this happens is the draw distance and world generation becomes slow to being mere ft infront of me, worse if in a vehicle. 2) Tether Lines causing frame rate/game slow down - Starts just fine, instantly placing a tether but nearing 2hr mark or large amount of lines setup and the game will struggle to place new ones, even taken two seconds to plant one with the game stuttering or freezing during that time 3) Buggy Use - I have often fallen straight through the floor if flipped out of a buggy during a crash. 4) Spare Energy Block on Buggy Not Working - Have found shoud my Astroneer respawn or continuing from a save game, any spare energy block on the buggy will not work once back in the buggy. 5) Crashes; Once they start they wont stop - Streamed the game on my Twitch channel on BH Monday for nearly two hours before game starting to crash, 4 times in third hour. Even after ending the stream that game save would suffer frequent crashes forcing me to restart again, leading to steps 1 + 2. I really see the potential in this game, but by the issues it has right now on Xbox One, given its "preview so not finished game" status is frustrating. Will be looking over other threads to see but unable to recommend this to friends due to the instability and crash frequency which just break game and experience. Thank you for reading.

  21. Summary: 155 - Xbox - Huge portions of terrain missing (?) underground, or just invisible Description: I've encountered this problem before, underground, huge portions of terrain missing. However, I just noticed something new today, maybe it's not missing, it's there, it is invisible to the player. Easier to understand watching my video, see that happens at 25 seconds (00:25). There is a very thin wall, I expected to destroy it quickly, but no, by digging I exposed there is actually terrain there, but it was invisible.   22. Hello Are there any plans to integrate a Steam purcahsed version of the game with Xbox players. Or perhaps a better question: are there any plans to allow Steam users to move over to Windows 10 Store version to solve the problem? Having purchased the game before MP was even available it's a little annoying, and arguably unfair, that the feature isn't available for Steam users. Thanks, Chris

    How to Equip Inhibitor

    I unlocked the inhibitor but have no clue how to equip it. I know it's supposed to go on the terrain tool but how do you hold it and pull out the tool? On Xbox One
  25. Patch 153+154 Platform Xbox One I traded 6 copper for 1 lithium. When the rocket returned I got the lithium but 2 copper came back. I have not had an opportunity to test other items. Trade platform bug.mp4
