    Multiplayer major lagging issues

    Multiplayer on xbox one lags so bad its frustrating playing with friends and sadly makes this game un enjoyable to play, its a awesome game but please do something about the lagging. I want to play with friends!!! Fix the multiplayer šŸ™ we've had to start our saved games completely over 4 times now šŸ˜¢šŸ˜¢šŸ˜¢
  2. I bought the game in July 2019 and my wife and I have played consistently since. I've completed researching most items, opened gates on all but Glacio. We started noticing this on Glacio when going to the center. Getting in and out of the Medium Rover caused a crash and we lost progress from last save. This initially happened only a couple times in several days playing. Now, as we have progressed in the game, its happening more frequently. I'm lucky to get to save once in four attempts. I assumed this was either save file size or save file file corruption. I have since reinstalled the game, renamed my save files (hoping files were rewritten), hard rebooted the console, cleaned out old games to make sure we have at least 30G space. Nothing so far has helped. In fact, right after reinstall, I couldn't initial load the game (crashed).

When leaving a co-op partner on planet while i goto another planet causes really bad lag & the person on the planet is left with a dodgy terrain tool & to sort it out so i can land he has to leave (Due to severity of the lag) Anyone else have the same issue? Prior to update game force closes itself rather alot when shuttle is launching/landing

    Please Help!

    Hey all me and my friend have started a save on Xbox One, some parts are really smooth, the fps/lag is really bad when the world is loading up, example: when one of us is driving and the other is at base or elsewhere another planet or heading off its really unplayable, we have put too many hours in to start a new game, we first went abit mental with tethers absoloutely everywhere we are picking them all up to see if this may be the problem & also when we try go to a new/different planet sometimes the game force closes one of us and out Shuttle has stayed in Space orbiting around we can see the marker now and again & it still has our stuff inside it! is there any way to retrieve this? Any help or information would be appriciated, are the developers fixing this for Xbox one or is it going to remain like this... NOTE: connections are fine every game is fine apart from this, it has so much potential but these issues are enough for Xbox player to play it once and never again

So I've been playing this game on an Xbox one X and I've noticed that there's much more Lag when running at 4k and the game crashes almost every time I enter a vehicle or the hab, running it in HD helps but game still crashes around 25% of the time I enter a vehicle I've tried to be a responsible astroneer and not leave to much junk lying around and I've deleted all my tethers. Lag is tolerable in HD (which is a great improvement from previous versions) but 4K is close to miserable. Any chance of getting an in-game toggle for 4k to HD? Or even better a frame-rate prioritizer for Xbox? Having to switch my video output from system settings is kinda a pain
  6. Summary: 1.5.8.0 - Windows 10 Store, Xbox One - Reappearing material after terraforming Description: Hello all, A friend and I have had an issue with the game for quite some time now. Being the laid back (lazy) person that I am, I figured that I would wait for a fix to come without my intervention, because surely, more motivated people must have reported this issue by now. We've run into a syncing issue between PC and Xbox. I'm hosting the game on PC, and a friend is joining through Xbox. While digging down through any planet, eventually, a place will come that I can terraform (remove) material, but the material reappears for the person on the Xbox. I experimented by opening a save that I created on the PC, with the issue, on an Xbox, and I found that the areas with the issue were now full of material. I removed the material on the Xbox, saved, and reopened on my pc, and the areas that I "fixed" on the Xbox were full of material. I'm not sure what the issue is, but it appears to have something to do with how the Xbox and PC version of the game interpret data. If this issue has already been reported, forgive me, It's late, and this has been on the to-do list for a while.     Lag issues on Xbox one

    Is it just xbox one players that are having this issue because since 1.0 I've experienced a tremendous amount of lag during my solo gamely anyone else having this problem
  8. While manipulating terrain, I've experienced storage bins and vehicles with multiple trailers just falling through the map and disappearing! Only one save file, so loading a previous save is unavailable.

OK, so I lost it last night after spending an additional four hours on an existing game, closing the game after entering a habitat, only to come back a few minutes later and find my last dated save was four hours earlier... Now I've discovered why. It's a nasty bug occurring on the Windows 10 Store release; I have the game on Steam as a native purchase (last December) and have not been able to replicate it on that platform. Here's how to reproduce on W10 Store release... 1) Start a game 2) Invest many hours into a game. Many. This is only to expand your game's data file using nuggets, terraforming data etc 3) When your savegame reaches a filesize of 16MB (found under %localappdata%\Packages\SystemEraSoftworks_***\SystemAppData\wgs\***GUID***\***GUID***\) it will no longer commit to disk, and after initialising a save ingame (by entering a Hab or seat) a new save with the current date and time should appear in the directory with a new GUID, replacing the old one. This seeming hardcoded limit is absolute. I had a hunch it was a magical number and started doing incremental saves to approach the point of issue... 16,777,216 bytes. --- I'm not sure if my LiveID is tied to the savegame file but I've attached it peradventure it assists with resolution. Whether this is a Microsoft platform limitation for cloud saves remains to be seen but it has certainly driven my current game into a wall. This one attached is just shy of the limit and will save correctly if all you do is re-enter the hab.   10. I have Astroneer on Xbox and I have a keyboard and mouse connected to it. The problem is that the game is showing the controller tooltips AND I can only use the keyboard, the mouse does not work for the game. I have tested to make sure the mouse works in general and it does. I would really like this to be fixed.

    1.1.3 - XBOX ONE - LAG

    Hi there. So at first, I only got lag on my Xbox One X, when someone would join my world, and then would stay laggy, even when they left, until I would save & quit. However, my Solo World has started to lag severely, making it really tedious to do really anything. Has anybody else experienced this? Does anyone know what could reduce and/or get rid of said lag? Thanks.
  12. I am pretty fed up at this point. For the second time this week, hours upon hours of progress have been completely blown away by some sort of cloud syncing issue. Steps: I play the game for hours (which I am no longer going to do until this is fixed) I enter a vehicle, multiple times during play, ensuring that the "saving game" prompt is on screen each time I decide to go to bed at 2 am after playing waaay to long, and making lots of progress I enter a vehicle before I quit, and again ensure the "saving game" prompt is on screen I load the game the next day and am greeted with an older save and all my progress is gone! This is the only Xbox I am using.

  14. Hey Everybody, Version: 1.1.2.0 Xbox One. Has occured on previous versions. I have been running into an issue that at first didn't seem to cause to much overall trouble. While playing on Xbox One, the controller will disconnect due to low battery or wireless connectivity issues, the character will continue its current action while the controller is disconnect. Whether that is drilling, driving, walking, or running. I am currently on the planet of Calidor, when my controller disconnected, the character kept drilling while the camera was spinning around. The backpack is now stuck next to some flora that I can not drill out due to the rough terrain and no drill mod. Thankfully that can be fixed easily on my end. My hope is that if the controller disconnects, the character will stop any actions it is currently doing to prevent anyone from falling or getting killed from this bug. Thanks.

    Keyboard and mouse support

    Iā€™d really like to see keyboard and mouse become a feature in astroneer, is this something system era would be able to incorporate, I know a lot of people would find this useful and considering the type of game it is it would have no impact on other player but greatly increase the amount of enjoyment to be had out of the game
  16. I can't join my friends game it always says failed to join session and yes I accepted his invite while in the main menu.I tried multiple times I even tried a few other ways severel times as well and yet it always said "failed to join session".

  18. The following has been reported 1000 times before by 1000 other players. And if none of the developers solve the problem, there will always be more and more unhappy astroneers. The game is just unplayable in its current state. Since release with 1.0 a technical catastrophe. With increasing progress, the performance gets worse and worse and saving takes longer. Random crashes are every few minutes. Crashes when saving make it unplayable towards the end. When you reach the end of the story, the animation crashes too. Video of my 2nd Savegame started after Patch 1.0.6. Endgame, Glacio Chambers ready, on the way back from starship landing site to fetch rover. Here Iā€™m stucked at this Savegame (2 of 4 meanwhile). You see the performance and when I enter the rover it crashed to dashboard. (Not recorded by Xbox)
  19. I first encountered this bug while making hydrazine in the chemistry station, I could not retrieve my hydrazine. The game only allowed to reload the chemistry station with new ingredients and run off another batch. When I did this, the chemistry station essentially got stuck and couldn't continue. I wound up building a second chemistry station, this one had the same problem with graphene as the first did with hydrazine. I've reloaded the game 3 times and downloaded one patch since the problem originated yesterday. The first chemistry station eventually cleared out and is empty as normal, the second one still has the graphene in it. I should add, when I cursor over the stuck resource, it gives the normal prompt to pick up the resource. However when I press the prompted button I wind up picking up the entire chemistry station and am unable to get the resource out. There also seems to be a weird partial resource stack, the first one was hydrazine and i actually was able to retrieve it, the second one is graphene and seems to want to float there in air and not allow me to interact with it (however the graphene chemistry station is still bugging out)

When I started playing 1.0, I was under the impression that any new saves I would make going forward would be completely compatible with future updates & would not need to be deleted, per what was said on the live stream covering the Astroneer Roadmap. This is not the case. If anything, the saves I made at 1.0 & 1.0.3 have only gotten progressively worse with each update released after their creation. The fps has not improved on either, and I can't make further saves on them without the game crashing. Thus, I have deleted them, because what's the point of keeping them if they are going to remain unplayable. I hope this issue is resolved soon. I don't want to be forced from playing older saves because future updates ruin them.
  21. Dear Devs, why are there no answers to the problems and technical condition of Astroneer? For many players, the game has become unplayable and many will follow if nothing changes. Your game is awesome and just perfect for calming down. The mechanics and the implementation are terrific. All no question. But the technical condition is worse than in most betas. Why is that all? Why was it released anyway? You know I am not alone and many would like to hear an information or statement and answer our questions. Even if the problem is unknown and it still lasts, this info would be sufficient and better than to mention. Many want to know how the stand is and why they can not continue playing. I personally have been releasing over 200 hours of play in 3 savegames together. I started a new game after almost every patch because I wanted to avoid mistakes in the savegame by prepatch files. You know of all the problems, please respond to this and do not bring up the trouble. Even if there are problems and these are still going on, this info is gold value. With more transparency, we would know what's going on and then experience when we can really play again and not always be disappointed. Follow every little patch in hope there is the cure is annoying. Whether you do it in your own form or we put our own questions together. Of which we choose the X most important. Nothing about features or gameplay, only "serious" issues that make the game unplayable. Please communicate with us and give honest information. Greetings.
  22. Whenever my friends join me, they get a message saying something like "Failed to connect to host" or "Could not find session." I can join their games just fine, but they cannot join me. I am on the Windows 10 store version, and my friends are on Xbox One.

    me and my friend love playing Astroneer;unfortunately on Xbox when hosting the game it becomes horribly unstable and the hosts frame rate is rendered to almost unplayable your game is awesome but please fix the performance when hosting on Xbox
  24. Iā€™m having an issue, if a teather line is particularly long, and at this point I have them all over the starting world. As I dig down to the core placing a teather causes the game to lock up for a good few seconds and sometimes if I place one or knock one over mid line on my journey up and down the whole game crashes to the home screen. last night I lost 2-3 hours of progress. the game crashed 4 times last night. Under the same conditions. playing on and Xbox One x on a 4K tv ver 1.0.8 (I believe)
  25. I play on xbox and i was going to save and quit but trying to get there in the game options tabing over to do so. When it went to load my friends list the game crashed and dashboarded me. I also have over 400 people on my friends list not my call but i think if it just loaded the friends playing the game currently it wouldnt overload the processer. Dont know how hard that would be but just a thought. 5 hours of play gone as i just biult my first shelter and was on Novus. Was very upset but i understand that the game is just out of full release and you are still trying to iron everything out. Also small sound bug when going between plants the thruster sound dont play sometimes. Love the game though amazing job guys and gals would love to to see extra content new solar systems fabricatables ect.
