    Save on vehicle seat

    This function is practical for those who forget to save the game but, honestly, I think it's a bad idea. According the game is explored and there is more data to save, it becomes annoying! Especially in multiplayer for the host which is overloaded with save game request whenever a friend uses a vehicle the host is harmed with frequent lags. You need to deactivate this or, via menu option to deactivate this function, as in skyrim you can deactivate save when traveling. I know this will be resolved with the dedicated server but until then it would be interesting to disable save on vehicle seat. I talked to some friends about this and I add that everyone agreed that this is a big problem in multiplayer game. Therefore, I am here representing the opinion and request of many players from my country (Brazil). Sorry for my bad english!

Hi I have noted an issue where the vehicle sinks into the ground as noted in issue1.2.10 - Xbox - Terrain issues using drill on vehicle The issues are the same, except I am only finding this problem happening when another player joins. The drill works properly until another player joins, then causes the vehicle's wheels to fall through the world when in multiplayer mode for the host player. Hope this helps with debugging.

    Medium rover bug

    So i started playing astroneer 2 days ago AND ALREADY had to make 2 madium rovers. I found out that when you flat the floor around the rover the rover will go into the ground and will disapear with all of your stuff now i have nothing and im disgusted to try getting the resources again
  5. As a client connecting to a host. If you are in a vehicle and you disconnect from the game, either through the menu or because you lose connection, your character will not be saved and actually deleted. When reconnecting you have to start from fresh.
  6. Description: I was playing a multiplayer game with a friend hosting and my tractor with 3 attached trailers was sucked into the ground while I was digging away from it. I couldn't find it in the floor while digging so I lost all of them. It looks like the bug was caused by digging out an object close to the vehicles.   8. So we all use the standard forward/back to control the speed, however, I've found this to be a bit troublesome. I made a decent tunnel to a cave system, problem was that it was too steep to properly control, even the tractor. It picked up too much speed. While the slopes are great for long slides to the center of a planet or moon, they are nearly impossible for a vehicle descent without losing control. My thought would be to have a gear setting of sorts, maybe utilizing the +/- keys for instance. This way, I can put the tractor into what would be 1st or 2nd gear for a more controlled descent, or maybe using the number keys for whatever gear, while still having the option for standard W/S movement. This would also help greatly when using the vehicle to drill; giving more control. This would also need to affect any trailers so they don't get away from the drive vehicle.
  9. Tractors and rovers should be able to right themselves by turning while staying in the driver seat.. Grand Theft Auto has done this for ages when vehicles inevitably flip upside down. It'd be way better if we didn't have to exit and violently clip through terrain to the core just to try and flip a toppled rover in a tunnel. Thanks!
  10. Every once in a while, the large rover will come across a spot in the ground where it will get stuck--almost like it high-centers, but it's on a flat spot. No amount of maneuvering will free it. I haven't had this happen on any rover but the large one.

    when you drill anywhere near your rover, the rover sinks into the ground. Once the rover is partially sunk, it is stuck.
  12. Hey there. I played Astroneer a few hours with a friend. He was the "Host" and i joined his game. Later, i summery all the Bugs that i have mention it right now to post here. (We have both - high-end PC with new graphic-drivers installed, and internet is very good (no laggs or something)) - so the only problem is that game itself. Synchronisation: The "bugs" or "issues" going up more, if "players" and the "Host" go far away. It only need to be out of sight, like walking underground, in one direction or travel to other planet. Mostly of this Issues are: His Miner is a big large combined ressource pack (organic material, alluminium, harz, quarz, all colours of that). If he start to dig some, its going even bigger and the "avatar" is underneath(see Picture: host player with ressource). (this bug is no gameissue on performance in itself and its funny to look, but pls fix this) - Some Buildings that i want to start, like the Chemical-station or Earth centrifuge (with ressources that i have in backpack or on the Platform), cant start, cause the "green start button, is black, and cant press. "the connection are full of energy", so no "no energy icon is displayed".... i have to pick up the station and put it on that platform again, to synchro it with the Base or with me again, and then i can press the "green icon" to start to produce. - The "host" player have a bugs too, that if he enter the Habitat and press his button to leave, he is outside with avatar, but his camera view is still in the Habitat and he cant see his avatar(cause he still see that he is in the habitat), but i see, that he can walk around, and do things. the only fix that u can do is to lead him to open space, that he can die on oxygen(but his backpack is then still in habibat and cant pick up)[not even the reload from him or gamerestart fix that, only if he is dead, and respawned) Shuttle: (bugs going more, if only the Player travel to other planet, not the "host")(if both travel, "host" has no problems, or little, but still other players) Travel to other planet only "the player"(not Host), going issues, like i cant see landing zone on planets few times(and if i join again to that game, while i in the shuttle, i have to start new in mainbase(without anything) and the shuttle is still in space and cant land or something) Ressources or Equipment, that are in the backpack are gone, after i can land on another planet or home sometimes. Sometimes, its a loading issue on thrust nozzle, if the shuttle break that, cause its break, i see 20 thrust nozzle breaks in 1 seconds in close succession. (so maybe synchro issues or something?) Vehicle: Trucks or Rover have some bugs on starting to drive with trailers behind them. "Host" have only little issue in 2-3 hours, but always the player, who play with him. Explain: The other player(not host) entry the "rover-seat on a rover" or Truck and want to start drive. One Issues is, that the Main-car drive, ---- but the trailers 1-3 behind him stand still. If he drive more, the connection breaks(like that the trailers are a platform or something). The only way to solve that is to drive back, connection the trailers to the Main-Car again, one by one, and u can drive, until u go out for digging or some else and entry the Truck or Rover 5-10 minutes later, the same bug.... The second issues is sometimes, that i entry the Truck or Rover(with or without trailers), the build in front are a middle size store with battery´s, or solarpanels, or what ever, that if u drive, all of the installed equiped items on the Truck or Rover are still in the air, where that vehicle stand, but u can drive with the power(cause its connected on that vehicle, but u see the Equip in the Air 20 meters behind stand still), only a "reload" of me(the player) to the "host"-game can solve the issue. The Third: And another problem is, u entry the Truck or vehicle, want to drive, u sit in the "air" and u drive the car around, where u want. But the "avatar" is still in the same position u start off (see picture: vehicle third bug) MFG (i report more issues here or new topics that i see)
  13. Summary: 1. Game refuses to go into windowed mode, restarting the game (in windowed mode, through steam; and in windowed mode through the game itself) does not help anything. I'm trying to move it from the main monitor (monitor 1) to the secondary monitor (monitor2) but without a windowed mode to grab, it's stuck in an unfortunate place in my setup. 2. Vehicle bay is missing (tried in multiple new game files, but it does not appear in the possible items to build. Doesn't appear in either printers, and does not appear in the TAB screen. I can unlock vehicles, but not the vehicle bay. Hello i found a bug on the version 1.0.13.0 and the ones before that had the drills for vehicles , when i'm alone on a game and i use my vehicle with the drill at the front and i activates it , it works perfectly but when a friend joins the game that i'm in and i use the vehicle with the drill , i activate the drill to mine down or up and the vehicle starts to go in the ground ( i never went fully in the ground so i don't know what happends if it does ) so if i helped you guys to find a bug i will be glad that you find the cause of this bug and fix it , besides that have a good day .   15. Summary: Steam - Tractor and Self launched into space from core. Description: Multiplayer. Host was attempting to flip our tractor snake. I got off to help while he was trying to flip it, and it launched me up through the ground and into space instantly. He said the tractor vanished too and then he suffocated. I'll end up suffocating too. Tractor MIA. This wasn't caused by pressing enter twice when getting on. It was caused by exiting the vehicle while my co-op host was trying to flip it.   16. Version 1.0.13. Any time terrain is "flattened" or modified, my vehicles and any unattached platforms will begin to sink into the ground. Vehicles are then very difficult to dig out as any terrain modification done around them makes them sink further into the ground. I have to dig way below them and make a sort of landing platform and than dig around the vehicle itself for it to sink onto.

    Rover Sinks Into The Ground

    Steps to reproduce: 1 create a rover or a tractor 2 use the terrain tool to dig somewhere near (within a few yards of) the vehicle. You don't have to dig beneath it. I've even reproduced this problem digging on walls or ceilings above or near the rover. The rover sinks into the ground. Sometimes it remains barely peaking over the surface, but if you try to dig it out, it sinks beyond reach, and no amount of digging reveals where it went. This is a post-1.0 bug. I use the Steam version of the game on a Windows box, using mouse and keyboard. I have consistently reproduced the bug (I believe) five times with different vehicles: tractor, buggy, large rover.
  18. Hello! My poor rover got stuck inside the terrain near the very center of the planet of Sylva, in the gateway engine. It's stuck at the end of one of those purple pesudopods that don't quite reach the spherical center. I was driving the rover around in an attempt to get it inside the sphere, and it stopped underneath the pesudopod "upside-down", that is, when standing on the sphere it was also lying on the sphere underneath the pseudopod with its bottom facing it. When I tried to flip the rover by pressing "F", the rover kind of bounced upwards but didn't flip. I tried to flip it several times, and that's how it got stuck. It seemed kind of pulled between the gravity "fields", being tugged both towards the sphere and the purple pseudopod, and eventually ending up wedged in the pseudopod itself. I tried to see if there were ways to get it unstuck. I took pieces off of the rover (including the seat), put them on in different places, turned the drill on, saved and quit the game, etc. The rover did wiggle a bit when I got on or off, or when I used the drill, but apparently not enough to get it un-stuck. RIP Rovey the Rover! Thanks!

  20. Playing with Mouse/Keyboard. Steam. I was playing as a Client. I was driving a tractor with 2 trailers attached, a worklight and a small generator attached to the front of the tractor, and a medium storage on the 1st trailer. When I got in and drove off, a my 2nd trailer detached automatically (a well known and common bug when playing as a Client). I turned around to go back to get it. I drove near it, and hopped out of the vehicle. The vehicle had not come to a complete stop. It looked like the nose and/or the front wheel or two of the tractor dipped below the ground plane slightly. As it was partially going through the ground plane, it began jerking around. The wheels begin shooting around in various directions. After a few seconds, it suddenly jerked into the air about 30 or 40 feet, and seemed to be stuck in the air (with the physics forces stuck in a feedback loop or going beyond normal limits). The host commented that he could tell something was happening that was slowing his PC down a little bit. Maybe within 5 or 10 more seconds, the vehicle was gone. I assume it was launched into space or some other inaccessible place... This kind of bug doesn't happen as often as it used to, but it's a very old bug... Similar feedback loops would happen at the very start of early access. Is it not possible to put constraints on the physics, or detect when it's in such a state in order to reset it or something?
  21. So, I'll do my best to explain this. As a train (tested with 4 large rovers) transitions from a steeper incline to a more shallow incline, whether the difference is large or small in angle, the train loses power once the first rover has made the transition. This results in being unable to exit a ramp. I've spent 10 minutes now trying to get onto the surface, the more I try and smooth out the transition the less I am able to get up, regardless of initial momentum/speed

    Possibly due to nearby terrain deformation, vehicle sinks and clips through the ground, ending up in the cavern below it.

    tractor hijacks and destroys my save

    SAVE_2$2019.02.22-20.10.08.savegame i made the tractor jumped on it (standing still) and I could no longer go back to an old save (it still loaded) but its like it wrote over all of them , a and i cant drive it or jump of it or interact with stuff like cable or item but i can still look around

  25. Astroneer is a great game. I was around way before the 1.0 update and loved the game. The 1.0 update was bettet than i imagined. The terrain, planets, and even the machines looked EPIC But, There are 3 things i think would make the game way better. ROBOTS A little bot could make the game a whole lot cooler. Im not asking for the dev team to make a gigantic terminator planet dissasembler powered by the might of zeus. A little bot (the size of the player) that could recieve commands given by the player (Mine, create a tether line etc...) would make the game really feel like it is generations beyond our current space travel is. The robot could have teirs. The robot could be a vehicle mod (like the mods for the terrain tool) that makes the vehicle do things. to make this not too overpowered the first tier could be 1 zinc and 1 ammonium for the Mod version of it. The mod version of the robot would require a storage (like a medium storage on a small rover). The modification could be given Astronium from sylva and become its own thing (Once astromium is given it consumes the vehicle and astronium and becomes a better bot). I know that a major update has just come out but maybe by the end of the year this could be added. Vehicles Astroneer has a couple vehicles but i think a couple more would be good. A Mod (like the terrain tool ones) that can be added to a vehicle and give it abilities would be pretty nice. By abilities i mean like faster speed, Ability to hold platforms that are not packaged etc. If the dev team does create oceans for planets, a submarine or a boat that can be grounds for a base in the ocean would be AWESOME. These vehicles can be crafted at a Vehicle Bay. Better Drills. the second i learned that the planets core had a gateway chaimber i crafted a drill, attached it to my rover and nose dived into the ground. The drills in the game as of current are pretty useful. The drills make resource gathering more fun when you can just plow through anything like butter. I only have 2 problems with the drills. 1. You cant change the angle that the drill is drilling unless you manuver yourself in that certain way. 2. The drill makes holes that you can walk through by foot but does NOT place concrete (the thing that you can place with the canister and terrain tool). If the drill can change its angle and, the drill can place concrete under it when it in inevitably drills throgh the toof of a cave. The drill should have a Mod slot that can take modifications. For example a Builder Mod that digs holes and places concrete when it drills into a hole/cave.
