    Multiplayer Lag Glitch

    I was in my friend's server (he was the host and he has pretty fast internet, about 200Mb/s download speed but I am unsure about the upload speed), so it was just the two of us. My internet is meh (about 20Mb/s average download speed, 5.54Mb/s). I experience teleporting glitches while I am driving, but he does not. Once, my rover went crazy and the vehicle and I teleported pretty far from base. Oh, and to the sky . The rover stayed stuck in space while I fell back down, but I didn't die for some reason. It took a while to get that rover back. (my friend building up) (me falling down)

    add a bigger vehicle, a faster vehicle, and a engine that when you put it on a vehicle it makes it faster
  3. When you have something attached to the front or rear slot on a vehicle, it falls off when in range of your base. Often times, I'll be rolling in with a solar panel attached and it flies off. My request is to disable this feature when something is attached. You could simply remove that item if you need a charge. Seems like a quality of life item but would be cool to implement this at some point. Thanks SystemEra staff for your continued efforts! Keep it up!

One is made in vehicle-printer(aluminum) and the other in normal-printer(mixture). First chair is fixed to rover and the second is attachable. What is so different and why couldn't every equipment be attachable?

    a few vehicle suggestions

    - make them heavier: they seem to be too light in relation to the astroneer. on the moon they almost float away. and also on the arid planet they spend way too much time in the air. also some object still seem to almost tip them over like the crane. even with a fully loaded truck with a crane and stuff, the center of gravity should be the truck. - they slide too much, increase the friction - please give us an ordinary wasd control over the vehicle. right now, there's no clean option to break. - the movement of the vehicle often doesnt match the position of the wheels.

    Glitches?

    Hi, Bought Astroneer yesterday. The trial wasn't too helpful (luck of the draw), but the YouTube video by BlitzKriegsler a lot more so. I Have absolutely no regret buying it. Yesterday I was confronted with a few glitches, two of them massively annoying. The first is when you find something for research. Now, paving a smooth path is already a trial (not an issue), but having to go back whilst carrying an analyzable item, whilst you cannot jump and the point of view irritatingly changing (because of the item you carry), is a lot more annoying. It took several attempts to get back and forth to the base. And I had to do this 8 times. Can you look into this or make it possible to jump at half height or something like that? The second issue is massively irritating. When I went around in my truck even with a small increase of speed, that thing is like a trampoline, which is massively annoying at best, was thrown clear 5 times, the sixth time it bounced into a canyon killing me, making me lose everything and I have to start again now. restraining the bound to close to null would not be the worst idea. The third issue, resulted into the second issue is a minor one. The 'HOME' icon disappears at some point, because it is behind me, I did not notice until it was much too late. May I suggest that the 'HOME' icon will always remain visible? I get that beacons have a limited range (I saw it face to light blue and away), yet 'HOME' needs to remain visible. Losing that made me drive in a circle and resulted in me losing it all in the second issue I got hit with at that moment. possible bug: As far as I can tell, when you pick up a tether from the backpack, you cannot undo it. lost 3 tethers this way. They are easily replaced, but having a cancel option when you accidentally press down would be nice. Next is something that I am not sure about. Got killed three times suddenly in a storm there was no place to hide fast enough. Will there be an option of a warning with the option to shelter? by the way, the second time i got into a cave, but the storm was there too, killing me, which was a little odd. I like the simplicity of the graphics, give it a nice atmosphere. As items go, even with the truck, there is a limit to unknown items you can take, can an item be added, like large storage or trailer? It seems that the filter only protects you once. Was this intentional? Have fun and I look forward to the next batch of options in this game. Just another 263 minutes until I can start playing it again on my XB1.

  10. pre-build 0.2.115.0 on steam, using mouse/keyboard. While I was playing with my friend (he was hosting), my character passed through the ground : In this place I'm stuck for 1/2 minutes before being teleported in a cave. It happens when I'm on a vehicle too. It's a bit weird, here are the 2 points of view :
  11. Idea for two additional vehicles: Low flying 'hover' vehicle, slower with more transport. High flying vehicle/aircraft, faster with less transport. Why is this needed? Currently the vehicle tier is as follow's: Ground T1: Rover Ground T2: Truck Space T1: Lander Space T2: Spaceship I suggest this as a more appropriate vehicle tier: Ground T1: Rover Ground T2: Truck Air T1: Hover/ground effect vehicle Air T2: Aircraft/atmospheric flyer Space T1: Lander Space T2: Spaceship However we have skipped the natural middle jump of aircraft/flying vehicles. I believe we have all experienced the turbulence of driving quickly over a rock and flipping your rover/truck and having to stop and recover the situation. My proposal would allow one to move above the terrain quickly and free from those issues, both encouraging the player to explore further from their base and increase a players drive to establish bases further out in the field, which perhaps will be more important if biomes are ever added in later patches. Low flying 'hover' vehicle T1: This would float just above the ground, being able to move over most obstacles but would not be able to 'fly' in any real sense, think of speeders in StarWars for example - floating vehicles. To offset a lack of altitude and speed a large transport capacity, and so would be perfect for larger mines or moving between medium and short distance bases (similar to the lander). High flying vehicle/aircraft T2: This aircraft would 'fly', of course i think a No Man's sky semi-rails system would be most appropriate, higher in the atmosphere and would travel at a much faster speed, at the expense of transport capacity. This would be perfect for traveling to a distant base without going back forth to space, while also further encouraging wider exploration of the planet/moon. Benefits: Provide a collision-free alternative to the rover/truck surface travel or the ineffective use/wait of moving back and forth from orbit with the lander/spaceship. Would encourage greater organic player exploration of the environment, rather than limiting landing sites or the unreliable and short range of rovers/trucks. Encourages establishing bases further afield, creating the sense you are truly claiming a planet rather than just focusing on your landing site. Negatives: May be seen as unbalanced, however given the complex whether system this unbalance can be tackled through risk of damage/turbulence due to storms. May be difficult to code flying/hovering vehicles, however use of a 'on-rails' style system could mitigate complexity.

    Loading planets bug

    Usually when I go to space in the game I get a rover and truck by then but when I come back to Terran the vehicles morph through the ground to the point where I lose oxygen. Please fix I love this game but this bug drives me insane(ps I play in the xbox)

    I'd like hovercrafts

    negative aspects: - hard to maneuver (and slow) - hard to stop - expensive! - wind (weather) has great affect! Even when you are not piloting it! - needs fuel - need 4 fans to lift - need 2 or 4 propellers as motors - only has one double port at the back for a truck or rover. None at the front. So no "hover-trains" (teasing - uuh!) - cannot generate energy from wind (so it gets difficult in caves) positive aspects: - little anoying stones have less effect - double amount of mounting ports compared to the truck (you will need them for addons and plugings) - upgradeable possible addons/plugings to be crafted: - better fans so the hovercraft can raise more above ground and ignore smaller ground obsticles - better propellers with software controllers for higher speed and less wind problems - compass - navi "home pointer" - an anchor so you can really stop (!) it and keep it at place even when storms arise - Different tiers of fuel plugins (organic, fuel, coal, atomar stuff?) - of course some storage, the wrench, a weather radar, a sonar? I think you get the idea. I would love to see some production chains with this idea. P. e.: - 4x titanium -> hovercraft fan tier 1 | 4x hovercraft fan tier 1 -> hovercraft fan plugin tier 1 - 4x astronium -> hovercraft fan tier 2 | 4x hovercraft fan tier 2 -> hovercraft fan plugin tier 2 - 1x wrench + 3x aluminium -> hovercraft anchor plugin
  14. Removabillity of modules All base modules, such as the conectors, and buildings, and perhaps the starter player capsule, should be removable. Along with the modules that are build/printed onto the vehicles.
  15. Vehicles are pretty much manageable, I don't care if they get changed or not as far as they drive. They'll be doable and can be looked at sometime in beta stage for refining. A good change soon would be to change the side the player exits the vehicle, to well.. the side, not the front as it is currently. This can be problematic especially when using the shuttle/spaceship, as the player can get trapped exiting the front and get stuck between the vehicle and the Vehicle Bay.
  16. Dear System Era I went to exotic and build my new home. I build the vehicle builder. When I landed to exotic again, it should land in front of the vehicle build, but it didnt. I tried to reland or quit the game, but the problem didnt solve. It always landed at the beginning place. Hope you can check it. Thank you Steam ID: Raininforest bug.bmp

    Some bugs I found

    Well first off, I had one of my rovers just completely vanish during a sand storm, I tried finding the beacon for it and it was miles away and high up in the sky as if it was on another planet, but I haven't made any rovers on other planets besides the main one. Second, items seem to "phase" into buildings such as the vehicle bay, I had two aluminum that I accidentally dropped and both fell inside the vehicle bay and I was unable to get either of them. And, my rover's seem to be pushed into the ground when I get in. Finally, the trade platform took off with my items and I was suppose to get stuff in return, but I left the game (and saved) while it was in the air, and it was landed when I got back on, but my old items were on it and I couldn't take them off, so now they are stuck on it. Hopefully this helps get them fixed

    Vehicles Flip on Exit

    Not sure what's up; but, loaded my save from December and for some reason every time I exit a vehicle (using "tab" to exit) the vehicle flips. One time it even flipped into the air.

    Ok so there's a glitch that occurs when your standing on terrain and start adding it while standing on it which eventually causes your character to get stuck in said terrain n you either gotta jump until you pop out or you can try n dig yourself out. Then I was once returning back from a little trip and upon my return as I was closing in on my base the rover I had sitting there all of a sudden flew up in the air and landed back on the ground but idk if it was cause it was loading the area or not but yea. Then I had left the planet only to turn tail back home but as I was landing the area was loading, rather laggy, and the vehicles I had there I could have sworn we're loading but as I was landing I started to notice they were gone and they were both rovers but yea completely gone. Also attachments don't always stay cause I built a storage onto a rover and then I went ahead and traveled, possible rocky terrain, only to turn around and find that the storage attachment had popped off, def should fix it so the upgrades or alterations stay on or are permanent unless the vehicle is somehow destroyed, also if that happens there should be something thats salvageable. By the way I play on the Xbox One n idk if you guys already check out the screenshots and clips on there but if you don't I'm sure I'm not the only one that takes screenshots or clips when glitches or bugs occur js.
  20. In thinking on what makes other exploration / building games fun and trying to apply it to Astroneer I had an idea that could help solve a couple of issues. The research tree needs some filling out. I've run out of research topics relatively quickly. I want to be able to design my own objects and vehicles are tremendously fun to put together. Adding research items to improve vehicle chassis, motor, wheels, suspension, etc. then providing an interface to design your combination of elements for printing would be tremendously fun.

    New Spider/walker

    Heya, So while I love the rover and truck they are obviously nigh on useless when you leave the first planet either because of the terrain or the lack of gravity. So I was thinking how useful a spider/walker type vehicle would be. It would have the same functions as normal vehicles but instead of wheels it would use legs to step over the boulders and spikes. I think the trade off would be that it would move slower when on flat ground compared to the rover but when on say, the Arid planet, the spider would be a far better choice. Depending on how it was designed (size/elevation) you could also use it for subterranean exploration. Thanks

    I am thinking a attachment like the drillbit for the front of the truck it doubles the power use of the truck but it pushes rocks aside and creates a smooth road for you to travel on. Takes two Titanium to build. ...or we could just make a new vehicle type called a tractor sized larger than the truck but with pulling, pushing, and digging in mind. It would be slower but have more torque higher clearance ect

    Multiplayer vehicle mayhem

    This is for the xbox one. So, a friend of mind and I were playing on a world together. He constantly had issues with a vehicle. He would be riding it and it would flip him and it would make the vehicle vanish from his sight. I just figured it was bad driving till I saw the video below... The rover was broken apart and flying through the air. Don't panic though, we recovered it after he was off the server I found it IN A CAVE! lol so, if you have these issues.
