    Hovering vehicle

    Hello, First, thanks for you game, i've been glued on it since its available on steam... I'm on the Exotic planet at the moment, i'm having fun exploring it and scavenging its resources but i feel like i might need a vehicle to be more efficient. Problem is, this planet is but a giant swiss cheese ! Using a truck or rover is irrelevant since you can't travel far before getting stuck by a cliff... I think we might need a hovering vehicle like the Landspeeder from Star Wars IV for example... What do you think ?

  3. Description: Oddest error I've encountered- while on a long drive about with two trucks in tandem, I dismounted to construct a bridge over a ravine. When I went to re-enter the truck, it bounced and vanished. I saw what looked like one of the trucks in the air some distance away, along with a few tires. I ran towards it but then even those debris vanished. I suffocated.     Vehicle idea

    The vehicle has too few digits So I thought about the idea of a truck that looked like a trailer, a little bigger than a truck. And I also thought of adding a sketch. I thought it would be fun to use the drone drone for approximately 40 meters. I think this game lacks 30 percent of the game.   5. if you like to use vehicles with drill to gain resources, that topic will be interesting. So, when you dig with drill, you can notice that vehicle always moves away, and that makes digging uncomfortable and makes you to move vehicle closer all the times. And I offer the solution: add supports for vehicles with crane (as real vehicles with crane got, some sort of "legs" or "bipod", think you understood what I'm talking about). It can be realized as bonus improvement for crane setup in vehicle bane or like another type of vehicle in that module. Think that will be great improvement, that will bring in game more realism and make game more enjoyable.

    Tram train vehicle

    Would love to have a tram/train to speedily haul resources or travel from base to base or mining site underground. It could be the same body as the rover but no wheels. It would run over the center of a line similar to the tethers but instead of a slack rope between, it would be a solid rail. Driving controls would be just forward backward, but would go fast as rover top speed (no rocks to run into!). Would require power to run the train that would have battery like rover. It could also draw power from the base like the tether does. It may be prone to bugs but perhaps when building rail tethers you would not be able to place them where the train could not go (tunnel to small). To prevent rail from being buried by terrain tool perhaps it could project an area below it similar to the base pods.

Just starting today, tab-exiting my truck (seat, small storage, and solar panel installed) caused it to leap in the air - sometimes just a modest jump up and a few feet from me, sometimes an impressive leap and flip in the air. I tried varying the loadouts and quitting to desktop but nothing changed it. I installed the seat on a rover with a winch installed and it would perform even more violent gymnastics on tab-entering. I would have done more testing but on my last attempt to enter the rover it did a triple somersault in the air, rolled down a hill, and into a deep ravine. I will now go dig down to retrieve it ... . Administrative question - should vehicle issues be posted into the merged thread instead?     Rocks, and some more

    So, i have been into terraforming a bit, which includes creating slopes, up to my mountain base (which is where i launch my spaceship from.). And i have no problem with it, i evne managed to get a completley flat surface, which made me really happy. Then i log off, and on the next day, when i log onto again, there are tonns of rocks, and organic shit on it. The enviroment shouldnt move by itself, like it does (unless it is logical of course). When i dig a hole in the ground to get rid of rocks, for mu base, they popp up on the next time i load in. Also, making the game have less rock, will make the game: Much less laggy (preferably also organic materials) Smoother while driving the Rover Easier to drive with long truck trains Stopps vehicles from bugging out so much
  9. After loading a saved game where the place you saved from is the rover, the vehicle will not move. You must exit the rover and then renter in order to drive. Xbox One, large base nearby, on surface

    Train/Monorail

    Since it takes a while to drive from one major outpost to another, it would be useful to have a slightly faster method to get there. The trade off would be faster travel but only from point A to point B. It could feed off of either outpost power supply and be unaffected by storms to make it more efficient. Perhaps 2 aluminum and 1 copper per segment of rail? Also titanium for the train pod?
  11. So i ran into the issue of vehicles disappearing when landing my shuttle. I haven't found good info on how this bug works and how to prevent it or at least deal with it somehow. Does anyone have any experience with this? I really don't want to loose anymore vehicles.

  16. PC, keyboard, multiplayer with one other player. My buddy used vehicle bay to craft a large vehicle storage without a vehicle attached. Now I have a large vehicle storage on the ground in front of vehicle bay and nothing else can connect. How can I move or attach this large slab of storage?

    After putting a storage from the vehicle bay on my truck it will not drive. Also when i get out of vehicles they jump in the air and flip over
  18. There needs to be way of deleting or recycling old equipment and buildings. Help keep he game free of unnecessary stuff to bog the game down.

    Shuttle/ Spaceship

    A simple one. Just being able to move the shuttle/spaceship with your "mindpower" and being able to flip it if it falls over on the side. This has happened to me a few times. If you enter the shuttle when it's lying on the side and launch into space it will fly through the planet for a few seconds before correcting itself and goes to space.

    Gear shift

    How about a gear shift for vehicles. That way if i need to go up a really big hill, the vehicle will have a better chance. This way you could slow down the vehicle were you aren't always playing Bo and Duke, jumping everything you see.
  21. Game crashes and goes to xbox home when entering rover/truck. Random occurrance. Im not sure if it happens with ships. Probably something is going wrong with savegame...
  22. Hello There Reader, I, Sidegamer, Have an idea for improving base physics transport. While The "Base" on a planet CAN already transport energy, I think that the base should be able to transport fuel, needed materials, and Minerals (To the smelter). Also, the tethers should give energy to vehicles that are attached to said tether. As a footnote, I believe that players should be able to "unextend" built base areas, to a half refund of the materials used.   23. I think this could be a fun solution for mining cave networks and could provide a new game mechanic for future content. If there were a small mech vehicle/power armor suit in the game with storage slots on the back and open utility slots at the ends of the arms, like the slot on the crane, it could easily get into cave networks and smoothen the process of mining. The truck and crane would still have functionality as surface mining tools while the mech could easily traverse the underground obstacles. Hand utilities would obviously include the drill head/ some type of crafted mech terrain tool but this could open a door to lots of content. For instance the utility/storage slot on the back could have a jet pack that could also be used on the truck and car as a temporary speed boost. The wench could serve as a repelling tool for the mech. If enemy NPC's were introduced, a weapon could be crafted and affixed to the mech arm. I'd love to see what other people think of this idea.
  24. First of all, I want to thank System Era for this amazing game. I've been following it for a while and have been very interested. I've only just recently gotten to play because my old computer rig I got from back in like 2010 (lol, yeah, forever to upgrade I know) could not handle it, but I've played a ton since I started and have pretty much done most everything there is to do and I've either watched others play or read about the rest there is that the alpha has to offer. Once again, thank you so much for this game and I look forward to the future of Astroneer. For everyone else out there, I want to apologize if there's something in here I suggest that has already been suggested else where. I don't have the time to look through every post and make sure I'm not duplicating any ideas and I just have a lot to say so I'd rather just cover all the bases anyway. Just remember I'm not trying to steal your thunder. If you have an idea that you submitted that I put on here, feel free to let me know and share a link and I'd love to go comment, upvote, and share support. After all, we're in this together! I need all the support I can get to make sure the devs see this and we can make Astroneer even better than it is! Now, as for some quality of life ideas: First of all, Generators: they're currently not up to snuff when it comes to power output, especially the larger coal variant. Inventory tweaks: there's a few changes to inventory management that I think would be quite nice to have. FUEL COMPRESSORS AND TRADE OUTPOSTS: oh do these need to be nerfed. Miscellaneous tweaks and changes: just random ideas that don't fit with these other main things. And now, as for some new ideas: (this is my favorite part ) Suit Modules: this idea would be an update/tweak as well as new content for addons to the player's suit for a better gameplay experience. Vehicles: I love the module style of vehicles this game has, with the ability to mix and match as you desire, if only there was MORE!!! Base Modules: the module design of the bases is wonderful, but just like the vehicles, imagine if there was more!
