  1. i noticed this issue during my first digging into the surface, i found a space ball, attached it to the front of my transport vehicle and was surprised, that it did not move at all. so i thought that space ball is the cause, so i removed it/dropped it. for some time everything was working fine, till i had the resources to build a drill. i attached it onto the front of the truck, tractor, does not matter. it works to some degree, but once i get out of the truck, tractor etc. and re-enter the seat, it is glued to the postion. it is no power issue, it is the position in front of the vehicle. once your vehicle is stuck like that, you have to disconnect any connect trailors or trucks, remove the drill from the front side, re-connect the additional trailers,trucks etc, then you can put the drill back onto the front and continue driving. this has to be repeated every time you leave the vehicle. it looks like the drill converts the vehicle to static objects, when it is connected to other vehicles and/or when you exit it. once the drill is removed and the vehicles are disconnected once, the parts get back their original state and then drill can be used attached again.
  2. Hello, fellow Astroneers! My name is Prestiege and i was wondering if anyone out there had any tips or tricks that may help to increase overall FPS for singleplayer and co-op. I am currently running around 35-43 fps at any time in solo and around 15-20 in co-op. If anyone has any advice to assist me please comment below. Thank you.   3. I cant download the game from the PC from the store and im dying to see what's new because I have been in this game before canisters were a thing. Please fix this i am literally begging you because i dont want to have to be forced to buy it a second time on steam.
  4. you can build them, but even when you have then in your inventory, they do not work.
  5. In multiplayer on PC, if I am hosting, I can hear other players audio when they push the tab button to unlock new equipment with bytes. Also, tether lag gets really bad.
  6. Summary: 1.0.4 - Steam - Bluescreen on load Description: On boot of the game my pc goes into bluescreen with DPC_Watchdog_Violation. I didn't play Astroneer 1.0.0 but I was playing the beta just fine a week or two ago and have been playing a long time. Changed my IDE ATA/ATAPI controller from my intel to the standard SATA controller and things improved but as I've played there remains a 10% chance that loading something locks my computer outright, but no bluescreen. This occurs when it is "loading solar system" and usually just before or as it finishes the load and I've never seen it on any other game if your wondering. Game didn't generate a crash report. Platform: OS: Steam/Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.7GHz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw 2x8GB DDR4 2400 MHz Drive: E drive WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0 1TB Disk drive, Operating system is on an SSD
  7. So a big issue is that vehicles have a tendency to fall through the surface and disappear, they also stop working randomly. Another issue this time it only happens in multi, is when a client is walking through areas where ores were mined by the host or client, they ground stays in place when viewed by the client. --

  10. : So i had a problem where i cannot click on anything if i click on a resource it doesnt work. i cant play on my world i had to get a friend to test stuff and they could do everything just fine yet i couldnt do anything, but i can still drive a car as it takes no clicking stuff but i have no way of doing basically anything, anyone got a clue? I've had this issue before the release and it's still bugging me. It always seems to happen when I am hosting a game with my friend. Pls fix this.
  11. I've made it down what I would call two tiers, and on the second underground tier there were more caves which led further below to a third tier underground. Whenever I even attempt to set foot in those caves the frame rate immediately drops to about 5-10fps. Further more you cannot place Tethers in this cave using 'T'. They will be removed from your backpack and just disappear, they are never placed anywhere. So I attempted to explore deeper by spawning the tethers at the opening of the cave and hand carrying them down one by one (might I say tedious). I made it to a ledge where I could see the next major open cave below, so I began trying to terraform a flat ramp using the mining gun down to it. This tuned out to be impossible due to a major gameplay/ graphical problem. When you try to terraform anything in these third tier under ground pathways/ caves, it works initially, and then after about 4-5 seconds, the terrain reforms thicker and more jagged than previously... and there's even more terrain appearing than you are able to remove. It begins to push you backwards the more you try to remove. I'll try to get photos to explain this last part. I wish I could take a video. The game runs completely smooth outside of this with no other problems noted at this time. I am playing on PC using Steam. I will note that I'm playing on a hosted game from my friend. I have yet to confirm that he is having the same issue as me but he hasn't encountered any problems as of yet.
  12. It's just a visual glitch, but every time I sit on the Tractor, all of the items in my backpack disappear until I get off the Tractor. In this picture I currently have two small batteries and one resin on my backpack.
  13. so first off so far love the update,. 1. when i at random times try to pull tractor it disconnects my trailers, i cant nail down if there is a trigger that causes it but its annoying. seems to happen when i get out and then get back in sometimes it dc's

On a PC Laptop Running Windows 10 Using a wireless Mouse If the terrain tool is clipping the ground in such a way that the resource being collected is "inside" the wall or ground, the resource will disappear if your inventory is full and it tries to drop it on the ground. As THOUSANDS here I face the issues consequent of using a AZERTY keyboard, and thereby the issues consequent of re-mapping keys: - Key re-mapping is NEVER saved, have to re-do it each time I log on - the forward key of any wheel vehicule (buggy, rover etc) is NEVER WORKING I stopped playing the game because of this, and came back recently as i saw you made some patches... I JUST CAN UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS NOT FIXED IN PRIORITY, THESE BUGS HAVE BEEN DETECTED AT LEAST ONE YEAR AGO !!!! I CAN'T IMAGINE THESE NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS MAJOR BUGS, BUT IT SEEMS SO AS YOUR PREFER ADDING CONTENT INSTEAD OF FIXING MAJOR BUGS ... Many of my friends were interested in playing Astroneer but I couldn't say anything else than "Don't go : there are still a lot of major bugs not fixed, and those have not been in one year" : you loose potential customers guys, that's stupid, especially for such easy fixing bugs ...
  16. Hello System Era Team! I was playing Astroneer here the other day with a friend. We spent like 6 hours on the same world and quickly discovered a bug with the Small Shuttle when we wanted to go space traveling. The problem occurs when you land a Small Shuttle. The thing is, when you first have printed a Small Shuttle you cannot move it. Then you launch it. When you then land on the home planet again it lands near the place you created it. In our case it landed on the side of our vehicle bay. This means it's blocking it. Well, not physically but optically blocking. We cannot move it so it stays there. All we can do is launch again and hope for a better landing spot next time. Of course we have gotten further and no longer need our Small Shuttles and therefore they're just there, floating mid-air, making our base look messy. Neither can it be removed nor moved. I have attached a photo in which the bug is displayed on the right side. Additionally: We had two and they land at the exact same place. This does not really do anything as they still work and we can still access both just fine, it's just a suggestion; maybe you should change that. It makes that part of the game look clumsy. Thank you for great game, can't wait till release.
  17. Description: When on any planet other than terra, barren, or exotic my reticle for the teraforming gun is extremely snappy. I don't quite know what caused it other than I changed planets. My friend also has the same issue and it seems to be much worse on planets like Arid, and Radiated. This only happens when making terrain flat using the Ctrl + mouse1 option on the gun.   18. Essentially I dropped seeds on the ground, due to the fact in early game, I have no place to store them. I went mining and came back and they had sprouted into the spike plants. I can't remove them due to them having grown on the unminable area underneath the main base, the black surface. I can't remove them and have now lost a huge section to continue to expand my base.
  19. 1. Position markers/ global positioning sometimes appear in space when you look into the sky. 2. selecting the chemical lab while its running will break it. 3. Resources will sometimes randomly spawn into a preloaded area after quitting a game and reloading it. (A bridge I made had some graphite spawn on it.) 4. Flattening tool doesn't flatten (OCD flaring up). "please add a Flattening mod" 5. Solar Panell Satellite got stuck and won't move even after I've dug up all the dirt around it. so I couldn't move it. (It was spawned facing away from the sun so I can't get any power from it.) 6. (Not a bug or glitch but.) Having to got to a different planet to get an essential resource using single-use rockets which have no space on them is a ball ache. I had to make a basic rocket because the continental planet which you spawn on doesn't have any tungsten or iron to make the next tier rockets or the chemical lab. I then proceeded to spend the next 2hours suffocating because all the tethers ran out looking for more compound and resin, just so I could get a basic generator and small printer to make a medium printer and basic pad. which I then used to make a new base. It's all just a bit too convoluted and making a base on a new world takes too much time and a bad spawn can straight up make it impossible. It would be nice if you could make a tier 1 supply rocket or a rocket which transformed into a basic version of the Homebase, this could be done by making a launch/ rocket pad which you could then send a "supply shuttle" to and from in a similar way the trading platform works.
  20. I have made my rocket but it will not lift of it just says thruster required even though there is already a thruster on the vehicle.

Placing tethers throughout the world Bug Description : After placing multiple tethers throughout the world the frame rate of the game will drop upon moving the tethers or placing new ones. This makes the game run absolutely horrible once you have build a decently sized base and have explored caves. I would pick up the tethers, but that also causes major lag and drops of frame rate to the point it's no use. I will provide my computer specifications to give more information, to ensure my computer isn't causing the lag and FPS drop. PC SPECS : ??? ?????? ??????? ???-??? ??????? : ??.?" ??? I am able to play about 10-15 minutes, connecting and following along the preexisting tethers, out to the mouth of the first cave you come across (about 15 seconds' run from the crashed rover / the base camp that you dig out), but after creating a generator, the game wants me to run to the mouth of the cave and create a Container. I have attempted to create a canister where the tag is, as well as at several other places, but the tutorial will not progress.
  23. it's kind of annoying to try to figure out which save file is mine and which are one of the 6 or 7 created by my 6 year old son only by a timestamp. It would be nice to be able to name the save file something more descriptive
  24. i was wondering maybe we could add a fixing system in game that requires I don't know maybe half of the ingredients needed to make the original object that would be amazing like I always see a broken wind turbine or solar panel and I would love to see a feature that allows us to either 1 fix debris (like broken rovers) 2.a feature to fix wrecked items or 3. both 1 and 2. It can also make more good uses for debris other than scrap metal and I don't know in order to balance this new system make wrecks a bit less common to find?
  25. sure the multiplayer right now in game may be laggy cause the game isnt optimized for it yet but with the trailer we got for 1.0 we'll be able to invite at least 6 people into our worlds and since its already very laggy getting 4 people in a world i think that 1.0 or updates before it will have optimization for multiplayer if that's the case then how cool would it be to have servers in the game like a raid and alliance system server where people can loot other bases and ally with other bases to help each other out while we are at it or just general co-op play with multiple people would be very nice as well. now honestly i dont expect to see this soon since system era is a realativly small studio when compared to other companies so it would generally be hard but if they get more people down the line and make astroneer successful when its near its full complete or during the beta (since we are still in early alpha which is before beta) i can actually see this not only work but be a good boost in sales since alot of sandbox players (not all) like to play with multiple people .
