  1. (sry if I made some spelling mistakes but I did my best hope you guys like it ) Hey Explorers! I was sitting in my shelter for the storm and I tought that there was only one event the storm itself nothing else, and I ran into the idea of a comet event. The comet canbe visited for a short amount of time and can be only seen from a the planets who it passes true (not the beginner planet) the comet itself is like a tiny mine with a resource that can be only found on te comet itself nowhere else. My second event is a meteor rain when a planet or a part of a planets surface has no resources left there (maybe) a meteor rain that hit the surface of the planet it can be seen from space where the meteors hit so you can land there also it can be a event where a meteor hits your base and blows a part of your base to pieces. The thirt event is a earthquake destroying bases and flattens the ground fun for some action and also more dum I think the damage still shout be light because losing you hole base is very very anouying when youre trying to explore a planet. (plus I think its not very fun to lose your base in this way its way cooler if a meteor hits your base and then BOOOM!!!! EVERYTHING IS GONE this way is a lot more fun to see and happen) Material Waste such as from making copper or any metal that there is material waste that is dangerous. This makes getting materials harder and more of a challenge (I think its a little weird to just mine and have resources by instand)With this idea I want to make a place to dumb my waste underground to another planet or just next to my base gives me a little my toxic in game it can be also damaging your health when your just dumping it in the open and plants will die (not something that realy is astroneer like but still very cool and stil fits ingame) A builting system just like subnautica [game on steam = http://store.steampowered.com/app/264710/Subnautica/ ] make it that you can built above ground and under and use this last added base building system as a scout base ez to pack up and move (like a mongolian yurt) I like the base system now its just and idea this is just a lot of work to add and the base buildings system has been updated not long ago soo I dont exspect much Some random toughts A knockout time before you die to oxigen soo that your friend can save you when youre exploring in a cave (needs oxigen tank to save a friend) better rendered planet on the horizon metal detector to find metal true the ground better rocket landing on planets lighting when storming able to rappel mountens/or with picaxes

  3. So as I was wandering around in Astroneer, y'know as you do, I thought to myself, "Hey, what if I had to deal with problems on each planet?" The idea sprung on me while I was booting up a new game and rushing instantly to a Radiated planet. Environmental Hazards I know that we have sandstorms, or whatever it is you'd like to call them, but what if there were more hazards or detrimental weather? Perhaps they vary from planet to planet, for instance on the moon you'd have meteorites, on an exotic planet you'd have maybe a swarm of carnivorous space wasps or something of the sort. I'm starting off light because I'm unsure of the limitations of the engine. This could really be taken in any direction, maybe even player triggered hazards or preventable disasters like volcanoes or earthquakes, But I think the idea of biome specific hazards is good food for thought. Events When I think of events I mean like these satellites (Or space stations if you've read my other post over Here) crashing on a planet from outer space. Maybe large asteroids with rarer materials or such? Or a even rarer alien clump of debris from 'something' that has a unique research module. The idea of this would give each planet a lot more of an organic feeling with things that can just 'happen' from nothing. Maybe, and this ties in with Environmental Hazards, what about a world destruction event? Massive earthquakes or volcanoes destroying a planet, over time forming an asteroid belt? Of course this is just an idea, we could always just have a few small moon sized asteroids floating about in this belt we could visit. I just really like the idea of asteroid mining. Derelict Alien Structures I've been dwelling on this idea for some time if I'm honest, but I've thought about ancient alien ruins or destroyed technology from a long lost age. From something simple and small like an independent functional refinery or solar array or if you want real big stuck, destroyed planetary structures, I'm talking broken pieces of a Ringworld floating in orbit of a planet, or a half constructed Dyson sphere or something of the like. Interstellar Travel/Wormhole Travel Now this is just a wild idea that I spitballed with a little bit but what if you found one of these structures that provided co-ordinates to a 'Wormhole gate' or something of the like to provide travel to a fresh system, a 1 way trip to a fresh system. This could easily be tied-in with some ideas from Derelict alien structures. Think of it almost like a NG+ mode, you keep research, and whatever small supplies you take with you along with your ship. I can't think of any kind of incentive of going into this 'NG+' mode or somesuch, but feel free to throw together ideas for incentive to travel to another system aside from if you blew up one of the planets from drilling into the core or something, or the sun exploding.   4. °°Random Planetary Events/ET Visitations°° Picture this your Playing astroneer and you hear a loud explosion, you look up to the sky and see a a large fireball streaking across the sky you watch as it impacts the planet. You curiosity gets the best of you and you set out on a adventure to find out what is was that crash landed. You reach the area of impact to find a large creator inside you find... Here are some ideas on what you might find - A large asteroid or meteor possibly filled with rare resources or Something unique maybe even in the form as a unknown that can be carried to the research module - A Human crash landed Aircraft or pod possibly carrying resources, AI robots, or maybe even other Human NPC who may be friendly or hostile. And who may also start to build a base on the planet.(Making the planet feel more alive.) - Crashed or Landed Alien Aircraft with Alien NPC who may be hostile. The Ship's parts can be stripped to be researched or Maybe a small one man UFO can be placed on the research module to unlock extraterrestrial technology. Picture this scenario you reach the area of impact only to see a UFO either crashed or landed safely. You see Aliens wandering either scavenging or disoriented from the crash. The Aliens would then depending on there personality or Race either attack you or be curious of you and from there a realtionship would form for trades etc. Also on that note these events should be random all over the world on any planet and when something enters the atmosphere you should see it burning up as it enters the planet. This would give this exciting feeling of wanting to go investigate the impact site and lead to some interesting adventures as you never know what you may find. Atmosphere Burn ups should include yourself as you travel from planet to planet this effect would make entering planets feel more realistic. °°Weather Effects°° Each planet should have its own weather effects and hazards unique to each. For instance on a Terran planet similar to a earth like planet you may get Thunder Storms, sandstorms, snow storms etc depending on the area of the planet you are on. But let's imagine some new Hazards into the mix such as, Acid rain, Blizzards, Tsunami, Radiation Bursts, Solar Flares, Volcano Eruptions with Lava, Earthquakes, Tornadoes or maybe even as you advance and make your footprint on the universe ET become curious and visit and now your faced with Visitation and possibly abduction to there ship or there planet and you must build and escape.
