About Me

  1. When i start to play Astroneer the audio is always set to 0 for all the settings, this only after this new fantastic update (0.6.5.0). pc components: gtx 980 reference, i5 4690k overclocked to 4.5ghz, 16 GB ram ddr3, 2 hard disk, 7200rpm, one of 1tb and one of 500 GB, (the second one is empty).
  2. steam 0.6.2 i've noticed more often than not, the storm sounds on Exotic don't fade out the same way they fade in. as the storm passes, the wind sound keeps going full-blast, then just cuts off suddenly. haven't noticed the same issue on Terran or Tundra; the storm sound fades in, then fades back out again.
  3. i already miss the tone the medium printer made when it finished an item. can we get that back? it had become a huge part of the game's atmosphere for me
  4. I think I have found a bug. I am on PC (Windows 7 64bit) and using the most up-to-date steam version of the game (0.5.1). If I start the game through steam while my Chrome browser (64.0.3282.167 64bit) is open and playing any Youtube video it automatically kills all sound on my computer. To fix this I have to close my browser and then close the game all the way to the desktop and then restart the game through steam and then start Youtube in my browser. If you need more information please let me know.
  5. I was coming up from the underground, making a ramp between the surface and a nearby cave system, when without warning I come up and there's a storm happening around me. Normally, the audio changes to wind as a warning, but I didn't hear anything. Also, my tethers light up and provide oxygen, but the blue connection lines sometimes don't appear at all.
  6. After turning down the volume, the sound is turned off when the game is restarted.
  7. Hello, i just bought astroneer and everytime when i start the game the AUDIO is on 0.. everything from audio Options is automatically set on 0 so i need to turn it on and apply setitings. Can anyone help me fixing this because its getting annoying Thanks for your response
  8. If you suffocate to death the moment you are connected to your oxygen system, the sound of oxygen refilling your tanks begins to play at the location of your death, and it will not cease. It also does not cease even if you restart your game. Steam version on Windows 10, version 0.5.0.0.
  9. Just started a new game after updating. Running around the surface and collecting stuff I noticed that the sound effects sound like I'm in a cave system. The echo effect is activated on everything above ground.
  10. The video is only like 3 minutes long but it was still to big to upload here so the google drive link to the video is below: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B39pGRpR42gKeHR2NWpJM2xWb1k/view?usp=sharing List of Shown bugs: Audio cutout on digging Turning flat terrain bumpy Flat ground unable to fill in holes Extension to base moving on hills View Distance, even on ultra, is not enough Says no power when there is still a little bit left continue digging for a few seconds with modules after it says no power Storm blocks in the Valley even though the storm was on the opposing side of the mountain Power can't in between bases connect via tethers List of Un-recorded bugs: Audio cutout on flame animation for not having room to hold soil. Flat ground making stair steps Character would turn around when digging a tunnel.(the tunnel did continued straight though) sometimes ,no matter how hard you try, there is no way to stop sliding.
  11. Summary: 201 - Steam - Audio problem Description: I set the audio in the options and when I exit the game and I restart it the audio is always at 0 Platform: Steam Version / Build Number: 201 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 Home x64 | v. 1703 | Build 15063.608 CPU: Intel Core i5-4460, 3200 MHz GPU: 1060 AMP 6GB RAM: Samsung 2x8GB DDR3 1600Hz Drive: Toshiba P300 1TB Youtube video
  12. So I updated the game to patch 199 and when I opened the game and got in, there was no sound at all. When I checked the settings I saw the sound effects and music were turned all the way down to 0. But when I turned them up all the way (very meticulously I might add because all though I like the look of the new settings tab, there is no slider for audio and stuff so I had to click individually to turn it up.) there was still no sound. This is probably a bug, so I'm just letting people know about it.
  13. For some reason I can't turn down the sound in settings, I can move the bars left and right, but there's no save button, and when I exit the settings tab the sound settings don't save. PLZ HELP!
  14. On version 0.3.10155.0 I just tried to play with a friend, however I cannot adjust any volume levels, the sliders seem to have no effect and exiting the settings menu resets them. This is a large problem for me as I always disable music in games because it bothers me. I tried manually editing the GameUserSettings.ini in %localappdata%\Astro\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor however not all settings are included here, only Music and Sfx, and neither work to actually change the volume. They were at 0.000000 when I opened the config at first, my best guess was to try 0.500000 and 1.000000 and neither changed the volume at all. I've googled this problem and it appears the same issue has been around since December 2016, I understand (as a fellow game dev) that this is not a simple process but I'd expect settings working to be a pretty high priority...
  15. Summary: 131 - Steam - Audio Options do nothing. Description: The options to control volume doesn't work. I'll try to change the volume without hearing any change and there is no save option. After closing and reopening the menu any changes have reset. Platform: Steam Version / Build Number: 131 Specifications: OS: Win 10x64 CPU: Intel i5-3330 GPU: Intel 2500 RAM: 8GB Drive: NTFS 3TB
  16. Seeing that Xbox One and PC now have games with Dolby Atmos support, I'd love to see it being added Astroneer. The effects/music/atmosphere is already amazing and sounds great in 7.1. But adding true 3d space would make this game stand apart from many others in the audio department and really give us more of a sense of presence.
  17. Hi, I am experiencing a strange sound issue. Basically, it seems that some sounds get reversed stereo over time. I was starting a new game with 119 and was happy, that all sounds seemed to be in place once again and I hoped it got fixed. When I now jump into this save, the stereo for some sounds are reversed again. But here comes the strange thing: Yes, I have double checked I wear my headphones right. And when I revers my headphones, it does not sound right either, as not all of the sounds are reversed. Regards This happens on the Steam version, Win8.1.
  18. The two bugs I'd like to report are that during gameplay I do not have any music, but all other audio works. The second bug is that Astroneers will not play through my headphones. I tried a few different ideas but to no avail. All of my other programs and games can use the headset fine and when using discord while playing Astroneer, discord still ran through the headset but Astroneers did not.
  19. Pretty self explanatory. Upon each reset of the game the audio levels reset to max volume in each category.
  20. I'm sure there is one of these somewhere out there but can't change the audio using the sliders. The sound stays maxed and I cant turn it down. I'm on Steam and using a Keyboard and mouse using full screen. I just started my game and before doing anything, I wanted to adjust the volume but couldn't. I was trying to do so before leaving the pod. Even after leaving the pod I couldn't fiddle with the sound still. I also tried rebooting the game and booting it up in windowed mode as well.
  21. Hey, is it possible to save the Audiosettings atm ? And my Idea for the Future: Some Option to set the Audiosignaloutput to whatever i have connectet. For Example to my Headset, TV or Hifi For now I love Your Game, great Work
  22. game is not allowing me to change resolution to 1280x720. I change it hit apply and it does nothing so I go back in to change it and it says 1390x... so it doesnt save the option. Same for the sound. I turn music, atmosphere, voice, etc. all the way down and I can still hear the wind howl and fuel condensers ding. I go back into the audio options and it says that all the sound are all the way up (I can still hear the wind and everthing but no music now).
  23. While playing co-op i tried to change my audio many times... but i couldn't... everytime i changed audio settings it did nothing.. would be nice if u would repair that.. because i can't hear my friend when the sandstorm is happening ._.
  24. Give us as much information about the bug as possible: Mouse/keyboard? Controller? Mouse & Keyboard Steam? Xbox? Steam What were you doing leading up to this bug? Currently standing in my base, moving the audio sliders. Any steps that we can take to reproduce the bug on our end is appreciated. Try to change audio levels. See video. Include any media you want. Feel free to attach images, videos, and so on to your post.
  25. mouse/keyboard, steam. After moving a slider in the audio settings all the way to the left, exiting and re-opening the settings menu, the sliders will all have moved all the way to the right. The sounds themselves don't reset; for example you won't hear music again unless you move the slider, even though it appears to be on.
