  2. I have some free time so I will be remaking some models and adding new concepts for this post. Please be patient and feel free to leave any ides you may have. I will be- 1) remake and add new Carts 2) making and adding better rails 3) remaking the station 4) adding mods for the train (like auto track laying, digging, or flattening the land.) I do not have a release date for this update but if all goes well it'll be done in a week or 2 Thank you for all your support and ideas!
  3. @Astrofun And any others following this, I apologize but I am pretty backed up with school work and work. I would be more then happy to continue this either, when some modding developers wish to take on the project, or when I have more free time. Currently I am working on 2 game environment pieces for my portfolio and assets for a mobile game. As you can imagine this is taking up most of my time if not all of it.   4. @CopperyMarrow15 I probably won’t be revisiting this any time soon, but if you send me some sketches of how you would like it I will save it. Any sketches will make it easier for me and I could work on it again when I get free time. Also the programs I use is Maya 2018, Z brush, substance painter/ designer, and photoshop. (gave up blender for the industry standard which it Maya.)
  5. As requested I made a quick model describing some of the things you mentioned. (This is only for concept. This model would need to be altered a little to fit better with the game art style. Sorry for any inconvenience but I hope the visual helps a bit.)
  6. when ever me and my friend play we end up staying close to the base and don't really explore the whole planet because 1) we don't wanna lose out rovers with them bugging out 2) the rovers run out of power and we end up sitting there waiting for it to charge 3) its slow and we cant go mining or anything because we have full cargo and inventory This will make things more interesting. Just imagine a large base and several tracks reaching all around the world, or several bases with tracks connecting them.
  7. Small update showing off a concept of a possible station and a new train rail. The station contains batteries on both sides and the middle piece would generate the magnetic force. Each tide of the station also has places to put large storage if you want. This way maybe a self-unloading feature could be added to make the train autonomous. As in it will arrive on its own when you send it, then unload the cargo and return to player. (no more running back to the base to get that research there or having to big out that rover with way too many carts.) The new rail design is so

I will have to make a model for the engine's that I will probably place at the front of the train.(to define the ends of the train system.)   9. The new concept is basically to keep up with the style of the new rovers but I could modify the way the levitation works. I was going for a magnetic levitation system for the second model, but may be I could make a version with the hover style system from the first model. Also I never really thought about the crane being the mechanic that places the tracks but I think that's a grate idea. Maybe the tracks could come in sets like the theaters so its easier to carry a few without using up all your inventory space.   10. This is an updated concept to my old one. The reason I really want to suggest this is because when me and my friend play we like exploring. Although we find it hard to set up connecting bases of operations around a planet. We like going into caves, mining everything we can find. As well as gathering as much research as we can. The problem comes when we get full we either have to run all the way back to the base or if we have our rovers with us we try and get them out of the cave. (I don’t know about y'all but getting the rovers out can be a pain depending on how deep you are,
  11. Sorry for the late update been busy. Here is a refined version based on the new rover model they have. I hope they add something like this to the game or if they allow modding I’ll be happy to provide all the models and textures necessary to whoever wants to mod it in if that time ever comes.
