Sooo this is kind of a weird one. It might be a touch challenging to replicate.
I was digging about 3 levels down into Terran and I found this weird looking mix between a mailbox and a missile launcher. I put it on my vehicle bay and noticed I could interact with the missile, which had already sort of half broken up after I dragged it for like 3 miles. When I interacted with it, all of the sudden I started having these orange pipes connected to the front of it. So yeah, this is either a bug or a feature, but I suspect the former.
